I am told I am too hard on places with my reviews, so let me try to be nice. The donuts we brought look solid, so that's a plus. Decent service, and the place was clean. Best thing on the plate was the sausage patties, followed by the eggs. Both solid. Toast cold and bread from a bag (not fresh from the bakery). I selected toast because the biscuits were not made there. Should have known. Soggy hash browns, water tasted funny, like chemicals, which mixed with mediocre coffee made for an undrinkable combination. No option for real maple syrup, which I gladly pay for to avoid the fake stuff and the bad stuff in it. My wife ate there before and had a solid meal, which is why we tried it today, so there may have been temporary misses. I might return to try a breakfast sandwich, but I can't give this place more than 3 stars. Very average, even for this area. read more

We made a quick stop here. The breakfast food was delicious--some of the best we've had. Two others had meatloaf and a chicken cordon bleu sandwich. They said these were good as well. We took bakery goods to go--a couple of donuts and German chocolate cupcakes. The German chocolate cupcake was delicious. It had a great coconut icing to cupcake ratio and it was very moist. I've patronized this establishment in the past and had no issues however last week it was a totally different experience. Usually, if I ask for a variation on an order they were more than happy to do it. I don't really care for chocolate on top of my eclairs and cream filled donuts because it gets everywhere while I'm driving, it flakes off and gets all over me and the seat and I don't like showing up with chocolate stuck in my crotch and on my shirt! (LOL ) plus it's easier to eat while I'm driving. but this time the girl that came to the drive up window did not smile and had a clipped and almost monotone speaking voice AND semi surly attitude and told in no uncertain terms that they never take orders that like that, they haven't in the past and they wouldn't in the future. So I was already there so I just ordered one Boston cream, one regular cream filled, and yes they both came with chocolate on the top, heinous truly heinous, , however, it took them about 7 minutes, seriously 7 plus minutes for me to get my order, I kind of timed them because I had a bad feeling after I gave Wednesday the order, plus a milk. I don't know if they've changed proprietors or if this person was having just a bad day but I doubt I'll be patronizing this business in the future I'm not saying never but let's just say in the next year or two and leave it at that. I hope management will make some serious quality of service changes and streamline the ordering process. I'll have to see some positive reviews to come back. read more

I stoppwd by on a Thursday morning for a little treat. I was unable to find any prices for any of their baked good. I scaned the entire menu and looked all over the display case, yet no prices. I got a glazed doughnut and a cinnamon roll doughnuts. It was almost $5 for those two items combined. The glazed doughnut was delicious. The cinnamon wasn't fully cooked. we actually rather like this place in that the bakery part is awesome and the food is good too. however, you're never more then a few inches or a few feet from an 85" TV blaring something or other that kills the whole eating experience. Why ! The coffee is good but it sits on a hot plate between servings. Not good. And when I asked for milk for my coffee instead of the stuff on the table, I was charged $3 ! Really? And finally, the lighting made me feel like I was eating in a warehouse; not good. But the food and bakery goods are really good. A couple environmental changes would make this place great ! I previously loved going here but things have changed. The last two times I've had a bad experience. I stood there at the counter for 15 minutes before anyone helped me with an order. Tonight I chose to order on line so I wouldn't have the same experience. there was no customers just workers in the kitchen on their phones. One couple in the place, should have known right then to leave. We hardly seen the waitress, had to go ask for anything we needed. The dining experience was not good. The food was absolutely horrible. If you like microwaved meat and fries go ahead, it was hard and impossibly chewy. The Mac & Cheese was tasteless and extremely dry, on top of that it was only like 3 small spoonfuls. At $3.00 it should have been the best ever, instead it was inedible and disgusting. We had high hopes for this place. It's cute and close by. We likely will not return. The server was awful. We waited a long time for her, Then after we ordered it took her 20 minutes to come back to say the fryer was not hot and the kitchen was asking for my husband to pick something else to order instead of the chicken fried steak. We couldn't get her attention to get refills on drinks and she never came back to check on us once. The food was ok. The sausage Pattie's and half the hashbrowns were overcooked and dry. Went to the new location of the Georgetown Bakery and had lunch. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger platter which came with seasoned fries, drink and a cookie. The bacon burger had 3 pieces of bacon on it.My wife ordered a hamburger platter. The burgers were very good and were 5.3 ounces. The fries were nice and crispy. We enjoyed the meal. Katie and the other staff members were very polite and helpful. We bought doughnuts to go and white chocolate strawberries. Though I'm not a pastry or dessert consumer, I chose The Georgetown Bakery to treat our church staff for breakfast mid-week. The customer service was outstanding - even at 8am when they are facing the morning demand for coffee and donuts! I selected 12 of their pastries to go. I wish I had more office staff to feed because I would've liked to have selected one of everything! The mid-week breakfast treats were not only a surprise as they were eager to make their selections to accompany their coffee! We were there on a Sunday about 12:30p. They were busy. It took about 10 minutes to seat us and some guy just decided to seat himself. They have breaded pork tenderloin sandwich , cheese curds, cheesecake, and cookies. There staff needs better training on serving tables and using their POS system. Waited in drive through line with one customer ahead of me for 15 minutes. At the window, I placed my order and paid for it. 25 minutes later, another employee asked to take my order. Evidently, my to-go order had been plated and sitting under a warming light as dine in. I saw that the drive through was serviced only when nobody was at the counter. There were three people working the counter. Terrible customer service. I asked for my money back and left. After that unacceptable service, they should have offered the meal for free! read more

I've eaten there twice this week, but I probably won't be back. The service was bad both times. We waited over 30 min for food. My biscuits and gravy were cold. What an awesome addition to the sleepy town of Georgetown, Indiana. My previous visits only involved partaking in the Apple fritters which I must say are addictive. On this occasion my daughter noted they had a lunch special of Tomato Basil soup with grilled cheese. We had other local choices however thought we'd check out lunch. Sooooo glad we did. I had the bowl of chili and a grilled cheese which was very good and worth the money. The Tomato Basil soup was great as well. Now for dessert I had the German Chocolate cupcake and my daughter had the Apple Fritter. Quite the finish! Service was great. Mike was friendly and place was very clean. Stopped on the way through to grab a breakfast sandwich, and it was a great decision. Absolutely THE best bacon, egg and cheese croissant I have ever had. The croissant was fresh, buttery and flaky, not greasy, egg and bacon cooked perfectly and the cheese melted but not dripping out. My road partner got the country ham and it was perfect as well, then we got donuts to go (breakfast dessert, duh) from their fantastic selection of cake and yeast donuts, Long John's, fritters, filled, plain, topped, holy cow how do we decide? This place is so cute and small but the food is good and the service was great! We had Katie as our server at around 10 AM this morning. We ordered the Sunday Morning standard which was just standard but the bacon was very crispy which I really liked. My husband got the half order of biscuits and gravy platter with ham and smashed potatoes. He liked the smash potatoes because he thought they were different and they don't have big pieces of onion in them. We shared a pancake and it was delicious. My wife and I have become recent customers of this establishment and it is FANTASTIC. I love a good doughnut chain, but the quality of the bite here sets these folks apart from the big box doughnut shops. On a recent visit we had glazed, maple with nuts, and lemon filled. The maple was SO flavorful, fresh, and quite plump---Georgetown Bakery does not skimp on size. The lemon filled, which I ate half of one day and it was still wonderfully delectable two days later, was one of the best I have ever had. My wife also really enjoyed her less glamorous pair of glazed doughnuts---standard, but still very tasty. Service here is friendly and fast, and the store is clean and quiet. These donuts wet from being okay to being my favorite donuts ! I don't know what happened, but the ingredients seemed to have gotten better or recipes changed that improved the taste ten fold! We have heard wonderful things about this restaurant. We don't normally go out for breakfast but since our power was out we decided to give it a go. We noticed right away that the only server we saw seemed flustered. We waited quite a while before our order was even taken. I don't know if they were having computer issues or what, but there were 3 people at the counter a lot! Took an hour to get our food and when we did get it the eggs were crispy on the outside and raw in the middle. I ordered over medium. The white was snotty looking! RAW! And COLD! So was the biscuits and gravy! I guess I might be picky, and I don't like to complain. But this was over the top bad! I know businesses are short handed these days, so I'm trying to give them a break. They do have delicious donuts, but we won't ever go back for breakfast!!!
