Stopped in to this local diner on our way out of town. The atmosphere was family oriented and very friendly. We were greeted promptly, and were given plenty of time with the menu. The restaurant was clean and simply, but creatively decorated. The food was quite good and the portions were good. They serve breakfast all day, along with burgers and sandwiches after 11. This is a breakfast and lunch spot, that we would visit again. read more

I'm normally of a pasty is a pasty school, but Uncles were fantastic! Nice, crispy crust, loaded with meat, and the best gravy ever!

I'm not a big fan of breakfast places, but this place is amazing! The best pancakes I've ever had.

We have given the new place a few months to get the kinks worked out. We finally went for breakfast and the food was pretty good, but seems pretty over priced for what we got. Decor is cute and clean except for the carpet(yuck) Service was good but then there were very few people there at the time. This will probably not be one of our go to places in town. read more

Grateful to have new food options in downtown Hancock!! Tried the eggs benny on day two of the restaurant opening. Staff is helpful with questions and attentive. Coffee delicious. Seating is available for sizes ranged from couples to large groups. Looking forward to returning and trying a few of the menu items this summer. read more

Uncle's has the best corned beef hash I have ever had. WOW! I want to eat there again tomorrow!!

Waitress was rude, unhelpful and too 'busy' to answer questions. Coffee is terrible-watery and weak. Food presentation was unappetizing, greasy low quality. Egg on sandwich was translucent (i don't even know how that happens), was supposed to be served on a croissant-appeared like a burnt pancake, had no flavor. Observed another waitress pulling cinnamon rolls out of the 'day old' cabinet, taking them to the kitchen and coming out to serve to another table. 'Day old' was marked as 1/2 off-wonder if the table paid full price to have them warmed up. Overall-price is way too high for the terrible food quality and poor service. Will not go back. read more

This is a fun place. The staff is very friendly, and the food is very good. It is just breakfast and lunch. It's right on Quincy street, so it may be a little difficult to park, but it is worthwhile. This place is fairly new. We were told they opened in June or July 2025 and they wear shirts that say, "Serving Hancock since 2025". They have used the street names of Hancock to make large monopoly looking cards and have framed them and hung them on the walls as decorations....very fun. We will definitely go again. read more

Our visit was disappointing. The food was fine, soup was watery with little taste, omelette was dry, panini was good (but incorrect). We waited an hour, it was following a big rush but other tables (that arrived after we did) received their food before we did. We won't rush back. read more

Uncles' formally Kaleva in Hancock. Food was good, arrived hot and properly seasoned in a timely fashion. Service somewhat chaotic. We were seated, sat for a few minutes and eventually a waitstaff came and took our order. Our food was delivered as stated above but there was no flatware to eat with. We had to ask twice. The staff is friendly but unorganized. There are no condiments on the table besides salt, pepper sugar and creamer. No extra napkins. The ambience of the restaurant is decorated with monopoly related to the area. Missing is the history of the building and the picture of John's Saloon. The staff needs training to minimize steps. Suggestions ... 1. Seat guests with menus, flatware and water. Take additional drink order. Introduce yourself! 2. Take order and bring additional beverages. 3. Bring food and condiments requested. 4. Top up coffee and check if food is acceptable. 5. Bring bill promptly. Waitstaff should stop flirting with boys that come in. Hire a mature person to coordinate waitstaff. read more
