My location is across the main road (Marshall's) from Mario's and TJ's in down town next to Uncorked Wines which functions as a superb choice of wines comparable to the best choices I've taken home from the best of New York's marvelous selections. Uncorked Wines has huge selections and backed up with considerate explanations from careful clerks that seem to care and want to bring you the best and most reasonable pricing we have elsewhere in West Milford. Lacking in warmth: Located in West Milford, renovation is sophisticated, the selection of vodkas good but every time I go to the cashier to check out I get no warmth, welcome back greeting or thank you for shopping here. The liquor store is an example of why those of us who try to "shop local" still find our way back to the big "chains" down in Wayne. Uncorked runs a large one-page ad in a weeky advertising mailer. Yet, this is the second consecutive time that the prices and/or coupons were not honored because of what they claim was either a typo or that the item was on sale (I think everything is??), so no discount was available. The bar is actually quite nice, yet has had its ups and downs in terms of bartenders. The owner should have a more authentic involvement in his place. . read more

Here's the thing.. this place is a nice, clean store with a full bar in the back with an amazing Bartender who I think is named Mackenzie. The problem with this place isn't the location, the service, cleanliness or the offerings.. the problem with this place are the locals! My hubby and I were in having drinks really enjoying ourselves when around 5pm the locals started pouring in and apparently didn't like that we were occupying 2 of the many spots at the bar. (We haven't lived in the area long). We ended up trying again 2 more times and it happened again both times. We were made to feel super welcome by the staff only to have the locals run us out of the place by making (very loud, rude and snide comments about us as we were sitting there) We finally had to say screw it not worth a confrontation or jail time.. but whatever we found a new spot. read more

One of the best things to happen to West Milford since Jungle Habitat! GREAT wine, beer and spirits collection. Owner Matt knows his stuff on all three. Very reasonable prices, nice staff, and a very nice bar at the back of the store! Bartender Sara knows her way around classic mixed drinks, my favorite is her Old Fashioned. Tap beer selection changes regularly, always fresh kegs and delicious brews, some local to Northern NJ and Pennsylvania. I've been coming here since it opened, like a good wine it only gets better with age. read more

I was back last week, first time after the new year. Sat down and had a few glasses of craft beer, served by a really knowledgeable gentleman named Tony. He's served us before, but we didn't speak much because the place was significantly more busy before Christmas. It amazes me the variety Uncorked brings in, even on tap. Great staff, when the age of the barstaff is right. Matt, the owner is also quite capable of helping you pick something out to take home, since the majority of the building is devoted to the store. I've said it once, and I'll say it again, when you want something different, and you're in the area, come in to Uncorked Wines and Spirits. A new, fun fact: They now do bar pies, in the toaster oven behind the bar. When it's not too busy, and you want something to pick at, ask for one. read more

I went to the store couple minutes before closing. As soon as I get there the employee behind the register tells me I have a minute and to hurry. I get my beer and proceed to the register. When I get to the register the old miserable man tells me he's " not trying to rush me but he's rushing me" at this point I'm annoyed with the employee. I put my card through but figured I want to grab some chips. As I walk to grab chips this man was very eager to take my card out and tells me "at least take your card out" with such an attitude. I told him to "relax" He the proceeded to tell me to "relax" I don't know what he said after. I just grabbed my card and left without purchasing anything. However, this guy charged me. Moving to the area recently I was pleasantly surprised by this little liquor store(also a bar on the back!) .. so yes I am a beer snob but I also know what to expect in certain stores. I was not expecting this little strip mall liquor store to have as good of beer selection as they do but I'm loving it! They carry some of my favorite sours by lagunintas and victory brewing which is a huge plus! Not just your typical bud, coors, yuengling that most smaller liquor stores carry. I was so happy to see they had troegs, 21st amendment, victory, lagunitas, dog fish, Brooklyn..pretty solid in my opinion for a smaller liquor store. They have a decent cider variety as well, they carry iron bound and a few Warwick winery ones which is cool. Employees are always friendly and asking if I need help with anything. They even had a magnify beer for sale which is a pretty big name for the nj craft beer scene. I will continue to come back for my sour monkey and I can't wait to see what else they carry in the upcoming months. Great local liquor store and the price is right! read more

The barmaid opened a bottle of wine but did not allow time to aerate. Most wines will improve with as little as 15 to 20 minutes of airtime. However, if the wine is young with high tannin levels, it will need more time to aerate before enjoying. Not a good first impression. read more

The store has a great selection of craft beer to choose from. The staff and especially the owner, Matt, are very helpful in recommending wines to your tastes. (I don't drink much wine but they have been helpful to my wife.) The real treat is the Lounge in the rear of the bar. There is a rotating selection of craft beers on tap. My first trip I had the Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot Barleywine and some Hopfish IPA. Since then I have had Chimay Triple, Weyerbacher Pumpkin, Arrogant Bastard, Longtrail Double Bag and Unibroue Raftman to name a few. My wife and I have stopped here a few times for a drink and to pick up wine/beer prior to heading to one of the nearby BYO restraunts. The atmosphere is nice and the regular bartender, Steve, is easy to chat with and knowledgable about what he is serving. I'm not much for writing reviews but if you are in the area and looking for some good beverages, definitely give Uncorked a go. read more

I really love this place. They recently started offering a limited menu of food which is important. The drinks are pricey. That being said the customer service and bartenders are top of the line. Chris and Sarah know how to provide great customer service and a good drink. They keep me coming back regardless of the expensive drink prices compared to other places.
