We were headed up to Warwick to check out a new bar but we wanted to grab a bite to eat before going. We stopped at Old School Pub because it's on the way and I remember reviews about their burgers being pretty good. They were spot on! First of all, the staff were super friendly (shout out to Chris, nice mustache!) The beer on tap was cold and brought out quickly. The burgers were cooked perfectly with that delicious char taste from being right off the grill. It's definitely a locals spot as the place was starting to fill up for a Saturday night. I had the bacon burger it was absolutely delicious not too greasy unlike other places. Just the right amount of grease. The service was extremely friendly since it's a very popular local spot for the area. They have a nice pool table as well. Highly recommend if you wanna grab a quick bite and drink. read more

Been given recommendations to come here for quite some time. Even though I live in the same town, I felt like an outsider. The bartender was paying zero attention to me, the bar had 3 other people at it, and the rest were playing pool, but, even though I had questions, too busy talking to others... but was very quick to take my card when it came time to pay. One question was where the bathroom was. So, with zero guidance, I went on my own adventure to find it. Anyway, the food (loaded potato skins) was mediocre. Service was crap. It's a shame, cause it seems like a place I would enjoy going to. But, nope, I'll stick with my go-to's down here. read more

Excellent service given by Amanda at the bar. I don't know why they only open the kitchen at 5 PM but it's the owner's decision. I insisted and got soup which was nicely made. Very nice new pool table and cleanly surfaced frequently. I enjoyed the new people I met and told jokes with the local folks. The amazing food brought out at 5:PM definitely wow'ed me and I'll get back soon for a pure treat. read more

Old School is a great chill place to grab a drink in normal times but they have stepped it up during COVID. Their outdoor seating area is so cool. Looks amazing. I found out their new table tops are all hand made with reclaimed wood. Local artists painted the new murals. AND THE FOOD!!! I don't know who their new chef is, but this stuff is good and fresh. I got a thanksgiving wrap, which a lot of places put too much stuffing in but this was just the right mix of stuffing, gravy, turkey and cranberries. The sweet potato fries were hand cut and fried to perfection. This place is TERRIFIC! read more

What a friendly little, local place. Dot, the bartender was very sweet and attentive to anything we needed. The patrons were also super friendly. I'm pretty full from the black and blue burger, and my girlfriend loved the cranberry-walnut salad with grilled chicken. Prices are very good. ...and yes, it was very covid-safe. This definitely a locals pub. Luckily for me I have become a local. But overall people are very friendly. The booze is cheap. One of the better "up the mountain" bars in West Milford. Debbie the cook is amazing... Traditional home cooked fair with a twist. Most nights you find locals relaxing putting down a few cold ones. My girlfriend and I like to shoot a few rounds of pool. There is a card league on Wednesday and Sunday. Pool league on Monday. Parking can be a bit hard at times but most night its easy. When I first moved to town I was a little leery about the place but soon I warmed up to it and it too me. I have since had many good times there. read more
