Still love their unique Gin that is beautifully made with botanicals that aren't heavy on the juniper. I try every gin other here and hands down, this is my favorite. We also come here for the bourbons, especially War Penny that is a homage to those who served. The leather and oak permeate the small batches and never disappoint! The staff are always amazing and offer suggestions and make unique seasonal cocktails as well. You may be lucky enough to be greeted by Eater the distillery cat, who we have know since she was a kitten. She is a highlight of coming here and she has her tables that she waits on as well, so be prepared to be snuggled! The ambiance is that of a local bar inside and a summer porch outside. They often have the lobster food truck there, which makes this an epic place to stop by. Highly recommended you check them out! read more

This was our second visit to Milk Street, both visits were equally great. The staff is super friendly and the drinks are great. They have a fantastic ginger vodka that I got in both my drinks. The ginger adds a nice touch to the vodka. With plenty of seating inside and outside there hasn't been an issue getting a seat. They seem to have lots of bands and food vendors visiting them in the weekend so you can definitely make a night of it. read more

The Murder Bourbon is tasty, neat or on the rocks. All liquors, as you probably guessed it from your inquisitive & astute mind, (it's a distillery, silly!) are made in house. The cocktail special "list" (it's quite extensive) is insanely well-crafted; I had a bourbon drink that tasted like apple cider! Delicious & dangerous... but I think that's how the owner & two awesome & funny bartenders intended it to be! This is a fun place! A food truck is often parked outside on the week (damn NJ law) and live music happens on the regular. If you like to explore local places definitely this is a must must must go! My husband took me here as surprise, & let me tell you, I was beyond Amazed. Not huge as most Distillery, but people there have a very big heart & that what matters the most!!! Being a family owned distillery they have variety of spirits. Including their Kanpeki Vodka, Dam Break Rye, War Penny etc. along with their almost 5 pages long Cocktails menu. (Out of which we had the word & whiskey sour-delicious & not that sweet at all) Run by two brothers Mike & Gordon personally are there most of the times to give you the tours! And to top of it off their staff at the bar was also so welcoming; in-fact everyone was warm to us! P.S: if you are into trying out new stuff, please PLEASE go here ONCE atleast! I was at the Cousins Lobster Truck Super Spreader Event yesterday and it was a shame. MOST customers and NONE of the Milk St. workers wore a mask (all of the Cousins Lobster Truck workers did). Nobody enforced the mask wearing inside rule. I know it's been a year, I know EVERYONE is sick of this, but I'M sick and tired of "don't tread on me" hypocritical a-holes who think *this* rule doesn't apply to them. I ordered from this distillery during lockdown because I support local businesses and wanted them to make it but I will not be back, ever. I'm not supporting selfish people. read more

Branchville is a cute town, filled with nostalgia and Americana. It seems only fitting that a distillery has joined the community to give a nod to the past and steer us towards the future of cocktails. First time visitors will have to take a comprehensive tour, which will end with 3 tastings, for $8. Owner Mike gave my small bunch the tour himself, and was very patient in explaining the distilling processes and answering any questions we had. Their vodka and clear rye were our favorites, so we had to take home bottles of those, but their white rum is also very smooth. They have a *very* extensive cocktail list designed to show off each of their spirits. Everything sounded delicious, and there is something for everyone. The mixologist tending the bar was so sweet and helpful - I'm sure that she could even tweak some of the recipes to make them less or more sweet. I'm now wishing I had written down the names of the drinks! We tried a take on a White Russian and malted shake with a nod towards one of my favorite movies (you know which one). We also tried a daiquiri with matcha powder, a rye drink with almond and pear, and a hot toddy. Milk Street Distillery has the right idea: quality booze and innovative cocktails. I have no doubt that they will continue to excel at both. Great job! read more

NEVER BEEN HERE: I have never been here before so I am sure you are asking why I gave it five stars. I work in the healthcare industry locally and was lucky enough to have this distillery support our Agency during the Pandemic by supplying us with 5gallons of homemade hand sanitizer. This hand sanitizer was then distributed to 14 residential group homes throughout Northern and Central NJ to help keep my staff safe! Milk Street Distillery is worth checking out. There was lots of parking in the back and the place was packed on a Saturday night. It was my boyfriend and I and another couple. We were greeted by one of the owners and took the tour of the distillery ($8) which included a tasting of three of their spirits and a shot glass to take home. It is a small distillery operation with hopes to grow. The atmosphere and decor is rustic with lots of charm. The guys who run the joint are two brothers and their passion about distilling and making good spirits is evident the second you hear them speak. I enjoyed their honesty, their insight and integrity in making the best product they can. For the tasting, between my boyfriend and I, we tried all of the spirits made there. My favorite was the Wooden Leg Rum and their small batch bourbon (outstanding, unfortunately not quite massed produced). They make two types of vodka - one made of rice and the other was traditional corn. You must try both! They also make an aged and unaged rye whiskey. I definitely preferred the aged rye whiskey. After our tasting we tried several cocktails (around $8-$9 each). By far the one that got the most votes for best tasting was the Matcha Pina Colada made with their Wooden Leg rum. Hands down one of the yummiest pina coladas I've had. Live music filled every corner of the distillery and we stood at the bar and enjoyed an acoustic duo. Before we left we wanted to pick up a T-shirt to take home but the band had set up in front of the merchandise. Ahhh maybe next time. Yes, there will be a next time. This place is rocking! The atmosphere was fun and casual! There's a game they play called "Chicken Shit Bingo"! It's so unique and fun! Had a blast at our visit today. Perfect place to go after dropping your girlfriends mother off at a craft fair.
