She answered me (in English): "Yes, I have been to massage school. I have a license." She was very confident and professional over the phone. I made the appointment and the rest is history. Please be advised, they insist on paying with cash to avoid service fees. My results were worthy of at least 15% tip. Why? My preferences were understood and provided: Pressure: strong Using feet: yes Using elbows: yes Oil: yes Hot stone: yes She was also able to use the 60 min distributed therapy evenly throughout the body. I felt OK when I left but a few hours later my neck and back was so sore that I had to lay on a heating pad and take some Tylenol to relieve the pain. I hope this is not normal for deep tissue massage but my neck and back ended up getting so sore that I had trouble sleeping and is even still sore to the touch this morning. A waste of my time and money. I have read so many reviews with positive experiences and stories from friends saying how great massages feel but that was not my experience.

I visited this spa as part of a group event. They have a small waiting area that has various items for sale (looked like lotions etc that you could add essential oils to). They also had some accessories and some shirts. When they checked us in, they moved us to a brightly lit and nicely decorated room. This is where we did a paraffin wax dip for our hands and made our roller ball of essential oils. They were a well oiled machine with knowing exactly who should be where when (once they had gotten everyone checked in). The wax dip left my hands feeling smooth and wonderful. I believe this is the room that they would usually use for the nail treatments (as they had nail polish on the wall). they then called individuals out to the treatment rooms. They were typical spa rooms with a place to put your things, a bed and the area with all their supplies. I'm a tall person and the bed was both wide and big enough (which sadly isn't always the case). Everything was very clean and service was friendly and informative. Definitely recommend getting a treatment here.

There's a restaurant inside the Wheeling Artisan Center, but it looked closed when we visited. Upstairs, there's a gallery with historic Wheeling items on display. You can learn about things that were made or originated in Wheeling, like Bayer aspirin, Mail Pouch Tobacco signs, and even a type of cigar.
