Really cool store! You Can meet Cherise the Owner at GAFCO helping out at the bar . Cool selection of sea themed items , clothing special is buy 3 items 3rd is 50% off , worked out perfect as we ended up staying an extra day and needed some yoga pants shorts & Sweatshirts. we also bought one of the cool faux jellyfish nightlights so the take was $170 for clothes for two and the cool night light . Getting some last minute souvenirs yesterday in the early evening before heading out of town and the young blonde woman at the counter was incredibly rude and snappy- was debating getting something else but a place that provides customer service like that- no thanks! If the person I was with hadn't been searching for what she wanted and finally found it here I would've just told her to forget it - we'd find something elsewhere. Really unexpected since we received such great service up and down the central coast during our stay. Only bothered tracking down the name of the shop because the attitude I received is still is irking me today. read more

Stopped in 2 days ago. This place offers plenty of figurines, new and eclectic things as well as some clothing, collectables and antiques in the store. The employee's are supper friendly, helpful and sweet. When in Morro bay I highly recommend stopping by and checking this place out. read more

I can't tell you what all they have in this store. I never went past the front door except to pay. I'll have to remember that next time. In one of the pictures you can see these little dog planters by the front door that are absolutely fabulous. Couldn't make up my mind so I bought 3 plus a glass turtle for good measure. Such a fun store filled with all sorts of stuff. Can't wait to go back. As for precautions, I found most people were masked and were careful to not crowd each other. read more

It's my birthday and I went shopping at this store for my gift. I found something perfect for me! A vintage metal trailer planter/ bird feeder! It's so nostalgic because we had an oval trailer in the 70s that we used for camping at the Morro Bay State Park when our kids were growing up! I could shop around this store for hours, there is literally something for everyone inside and out. Not one nook nor cranny is not filled with something interesting and awesome. All price ranges and a variety of quality (from tacky to beautiful and affordable to pricy). Hard to leave this store without at least a little (or huge) bag with something cool inside. Cute girly girl's type shop right on the Morro Bay waterfront. They have a location in Avila Beach as well. It can be described as mystical new-age jewelry, clothing and decor with more of an ocean type theme. Everything from fairies, to mermaids to turtles & jellyfish adorn their goods. It seems to skew to a younger demographic but I had fun browsing their unique and fun gifts. For some reason they seem to have two locations that are not connected on the same strip. This place seems to be popular with the teen and college age set, so a great spot for gifts for your younger nieces, daughters, granddaughters, etc. The vibe and merchandise fits right in with the Morro Bay scene. read more

Found a unique gift at Avila store but had to return the next day to purchase. Item had been sold. Lady was nice enough to call store in Morro Bay. They had the item and held it back. Lady explained it would be a few days before I could get up there. Arrived 3 days later and the item had been sold after I drove over 30 miles. Should have saved my time and money. I have to walk into this shop, every time I visit the embarcadero! As a faery and mer creature lover, I can't resist spending time trying not to miss seeing a single thing. Some of the prices are steep, but that isn't to say the items aren't worth their price; they're just out of my range of indulgence for what they are. Notably, the night lights, of which I keep telling myself I'll purchase, next time and then can't justify it. This store is one of a kind and I love the magic it emits. I drive over 230 miles to visit this wonderful world whenever I can. The owner is also a super intelligent re-incarnated mermaid. If you don't believe me, look at her. She has double degrees in that marine science stuff too. The fairy/dragon room is amazing and a must see. There is also a great clothing section now and the hats are amazing too because the owner hand picks everything herself. Just writing about it now makes me want to drive up there again ASAP! I've been to this store on two separate occasions while I've been in Morro Bay. They have very interesting trinkets for sale. Some of the stuff is beautiful, and some is a little tacky, but it's a fun store to browse and get some small gifts. I gave it a 4 because the customer service this time was not great. While they were attentive and asked if I needed help shopping, during the check-out process the cashier girl seemed out of it and was a bit rude and snappy while answering a question about a credit card purchase to the person ahead of me in line. read more
