I now LOVE this store! I was sitting outside with one of my dogs, waiting for a girl friend to finish shopping so I could go in and look while taking turns holding the leash. An employee came out and told us they're totally dog-friendly and we can come in! I think my pup understood because she got up, butt wagging, and pranced in to shop. They even gave her a big cookie! The quality here is excellent; I've bought everything from sweaters to dresses, purses to shoes and pants. Let me tell you; the shoes are awesome! I have two pairs made with Italian leather, and they are the comfiest shoes I own. Adorable boutique on Front Street. I recently stopped in for a craving of sweaters and/or airy cardigans & decided on a rust burnt sienna pullover and a ballerina wrap. Over the summer I got a summer dress that looked good in the store, but I ended up donating it after one wear - due to the straps being a bit funny & the dress kind of ballooned out. Hard to explain until it happens to you. The staff is nice but within 3 min of browsing I was asked by over 4 people if I needed help. Sometimes I just want to browse and be asked by only one person :) I used to do retail so I know it's a delicate balance of being helpful without also being overly attentive. I also shop at their sister boutique Rivers and Roads down the way so it is nice to have options. I like their cold weather selection here over the summer wear but that is just my preference. A must stop if you need reasonably priced clothing for a cute nite out. read more

I used to always buy when I walked into the store. Usually once a month is my limit however lately I've been coming and leaving without a purchase because the items I like aren't in my small size! They write my name down and say they'll call if they get more inventory on the piece I want but I never hear back. I've been to this store before and I remember that the women who helped me were amazingly kind and nice and I love the selection. This time around, I felt very uneasy. As someone who worked retail as a sales associate and a manager, I did not appreciate this store. This store made me feel wildly uncomfortable. There was not a single time I felt like the girls were actually trying to help me shop. It felt more like they thought I was a LP issue. They kept asking me if I wanted to put items in a dressing room. I agreed but good customer service goes beyond that. If you really want to help someone shop you suggest items, not just put items in a dressing room. The girls could care less about what I was shopping for they just wanted to take the items out of my hands. I could not hold and item for more than a couple of minutes before someone asked me if they could bring it to the front or put it in a dressing room. While normally, yes, I would love that but it felt like I was being targeted. They didn't strike up conversations about my items or try to build my wardrobe. They did not even tell me their names. Some of them asking to start me a dressing room when they had already put items in there for me. In the dressing room, no one helped me. Even though I could hear them helping someone else. Then a child pulled open my curtain as I was changing. No apology from the parent or the staff. After selecting my items I walked around for a minute. THREE different people asked if I wanted to hold those at the front. After the third time, I said, "Sure. You're the third person to ask. Take them." Because I felt like a criminal. I don't know if this was racially motivated but it sure felt like it. I think this store is so cute and there are items I would have loved to take more time looking but they made me feel so uncomfortable and unwelcomed that I just bought my two items and left. They have a very cute selection. I love their clothes but I don't necessarily feel like it's worth the markup price for a cute bohemian western feel. I've spent a lot of money here and every time I walk into the store and pick out a few items I do feel very targeted by the employees. They always ask me when I have anything in my hand if I want to place it in the front which is a loss prevention tactic. I've worked retail before so I know how they are trained and while I don't mind them trying to seal a sale if that where the case it makes me wonder why they only come up to the only brown person in the store and ask when there are plenty other women shopping around with tons of stuff in their hands. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes from them for Mother's Day. When I was purchasing these items, I specifically asked her if they don't fit my mom can I come and return it and she said yes, absolutely with the receipt and the tags still on the items. There was no mention of cash purchase items not being refundable. After they charge you and print out the receipt it does say it on the receipt but then it's too late to even say, "can I return the item in that moment so I can put it on the card?" When I went to go return it 2 days later she said she went over that with me in a very fumbled way, but she did not go over that with me, also just being honest when you mess up and not putting that on the customer is good practice. I would have opted to use my card if she had. Very tricky business practice I will not be patronizing here again, nor will be recommending anybody to go there, not just for this reason alone. They are in multiple locations between Carlsbad and here. Including the Rivers and Roads across from their Under the Willow location in Old Town Temecula. It's better to just be upfront and that way you give the the choice to people to use their card or not for future returns. I like things up front and felt like I was tricked. I loved their candle selection named after different cities in So Cal. I ended up buying 2 dresses, a slip, and a shirt. I would have loved to buy more, but lots of the stuff was out of my price range. Hence the missing star. I will be back as I love supporting local businesses. A group of friends and I was walking by and that caught our eye, along with the beautiful wicker chairs they has to sit and rest. The stores clothing selection is very feminine. There's lots of dresses in light colors. I love the chill boho vibe they had going. The store was laid out beautifully with enough room for people to shop even when really busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn't pressure you, or check up with you every 2min. They just let you shop. They have a rewards program if you sign up using your phone number. For evey $500 spent you'll get $50 off/store credit (I can't remember which one exactly). The prices were reasonable for their location and quality of clothes. I honestly feel the prices are right on point of where they should be. The clothes are somewhat unique and I haven't seen in too many other places. If I'm being honest I was a little intimated by the staff as they were all very thin and done up head to toe with makeup, hair and outfit. Came by here yesterday evening and bought a necklace with a little letter A on it! For $18 I expected it to be a decent stronger necklace and it wasn't what so ever! It was broken in the packaging the first time and asked for a replacement just for it to break less than 45 min later!
