I decided to go to Costa Rica not knowing anyone and came back with lifelong friends. The whole trip was flawlessly coordinated, and the activities we got to do were truly once in a lifetime. Zip lining through the rain forest? Check. Hiking in front of an active volcano? Yeap, we got to do that too! In addition to staying at a sustainable ranch, we explored the surrounding area and became friends with our guides. I just returned from the Starter Costa Rica trip and I HIGHLY recommend it. Having the activities planned for me took so much stress out of travel and allowed me to see different aspects of the country without worrying about transportation, etc. The experiences were amazing - canyoning, surfing, cooking local food. I was pushed out of my comfort zone but in an extremely supportive and encouraging environment. Our trip leader, Emily, was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the country. I did the June trip to Peru including Machu Picchu in early June. I travel pretty frequently but I have to say it was one of the best trips I have ever been on in my life. Admittedly I am not under 30, but I was able to fit right in with the rest of the group. We did a great city tour (Cusco), a trip to a local farm, a gorgeous day at Machu Picchu and a hike to the rainbow mountains. Our tour guide, Ruty, made the trip more special than I ever thought possible. She really cared about teaching us local customs and it was great never having to think about what we were doing next since it was all planned out for us. We ate delicious food the entire trip and got a great massage at a place Ruth recommended. Can't say enough good things about this tour. Reach out with questions. read more

Just got back from the U30X trip to Spain and sorry in advance for the length of this review. This was my first trip with U30X, and there is no way I can put into words how fabulous of an experience I had. Aside from Spain being amazing in and of itself, U30X put together an incredible itinerary and experience. The places we visited, the restaurants, the activities, and the optional/recommended activities were incredible. I think it was a really good balance of seeing the top "tourist attractions" (that are must-dos) and experiencing the cities as a local. Additionally, the hotels were perfect and the transportation between cities was high quality and reliable. I was a little nervous going in not knowing the quality of the hotels, the quality of the free meals, etc. given how relatively cheap the trip is. However, I was floored by the quality of all of the aforementioned things. Looking back, I am not sure how U30X is able to make a profit given the quality and cost. Relatedly, I cannot say enough about the quality of our trip leader, Rebecca. I think we got a little lucky in that Rebecca lives in Spain and clearly loves Spain, but she was truly phenomenal. She was kind, personable, cared about each of us and what we wanted to do, and went well over above-and-beyond to ensure each of us had a great experience. She had great recommendations on everything from restaurants for lunch, to bars and clubs, and to great shopping. I honestly don't think we could have a better trip leader. If you are interested in a trip and she's the leader, you absolutely should do it. U30X is extremely fortunate to have her as a trip leader, and I think she took the trip from being great to being exceptional. I was a little nervous about going on a trip with 13 strangers (and sharing a room with them). However, I made 13 new best friends. I think it a truly amazing way to meet new people and travel the world. Rebecca was great about doing group activities but also giving us time to do things alone and "escape from the group" if we needed to. In short, I had an affordable trip of a lifetime thanks to U30X, made new great friends, and joined an expansive and powerful alumni network. Not only do I highly recommend the Spain trip (though I do recommend you book an extra day in Barcelona and Madrid), but I 12/10 recommend U30X based on my experience. I just got back from my second Under30 trip, this time to France and Spain. My first trip was to Ireland and afterwards I didn't think I could love this company anymore but I was so wrong! This trip, due to bad weather and a surprise visit to my hometown by the Vice President, I missed my flight to Paris. After running through terminals trying to get a new flight I called Jared, the US based contact for the trip, and my trip leaders Marion and Eric (aka Mom and Dad). Between the three of them they figured out how I could get from Paris to Beaune to meet up with the group and calmed me down ten fold. They gave me easy instructions and spelled out exactly what trains I would need to take and how the French train system worked (necessary for an Ohio gal like myself). Once I got there the entire trip was wonderful! From seeing the French countryside, the majesty of the Alps, and the wild Costa Brava every second felt like years! It's so great to go see the world with other people my age with similar interests and not have to worry about planning activities, meals and transportation in the country. Just coming off of a trip to Costa Rica and a trip to Peru with them and have to say that with having traveled to over 30+ countries... these were some of my favorite experiences. Not only are these 2 particular countries great for being immersed in cultural experiences and adventurous activities... but having access to great local guides who live in the areas we visit as well as getting to travel with a group of people who are into having fun and enjoying all aspects of the trip.. made it that much more awesome. I can't say enough good things about Under30Experiences. And yes - you can be over 30 to go :) I just went on the Iceland trip this October and it was the perfect vacation. The group leaders planned everything out perfectly and I instantly felt welcomed into the group. I didn't know anyone on the trip, but quickly made "fast friends." Everyone on the trip is in the mindset to have fun, meet new people and go see some amazing sites. The relaxed culture of the company makes everyone feel at ease and creates a great group dynamic from the start - even with a group of 14 people from all across the country with very diverse backgrounds. I truly feel like I've made friends for life. Under30Experiences is so thoughtful about every detail of the trip - from where you stay (no packing and unpacking every day at a different location), to what you see and when. We did a glacier walk our last full day on the trip, for a reason. It was challenging and everyone had become so close by that point that we all had each other for support and help. I recently returned from a trip to Bali with this company and experienced possibly one of the greatest vacations I have ever been on. In addition to meeting some incredible people in my group, the U30X staff on the trip was amazing and very approachable. If any one of us had a problem or had to hang back from while on an excursion, they were more than happy to stay and ensure no one was left behind. Furthermore, the trip - like many of the other offerings - is constructed so you experience that location's local wonders instead of the tourist traps many group trips tend to offer. I have taken two trips with them so far (Ireland and Costa Rica) and each time was amazing; between the activities they prepare, the out of the way destinations, and the amazing people I have met along the way. I think 4 days after New Years Day, I was mulling over what my New Years resolution would be and I settled on "traveling more" and "getting out of my comfort zone." I work full time and don't have a lot of vacation days unfortunately. Also, coordinating travel with friends can be tricky with differing work schedules and agreeing on place(s) to go. Naturally, I did what any 20-something would do: I hit up Google. I searched for "traveling with people in twenties/thirties." And I'm grateful everyday that I did that. I found Under 30 Experiences, sent them an email about the Explore Iceland trip, and got an email back that same day. Two days later I chatted on the phone with Jared, and that same day Iceland was fully booked. For 4 months after I was counting down the days to the trip. I'm giving under30 a 5/5 without a doubt in my mind. This was the most stress free adventure, EVER!! The only thing that I had to worry about was getting there, which was easy as pie, and after that, it was all fun. I recently went on one of their trips to Belize. It was one of the best times of my life. The length of the trip is great; enough to get to know some cool people and experience great things, but not so long that I was missing home or anything. In fact, when the time came to leave, I was really resistant. I went on the trip not knowing anyone, and I didn't want it to end. How cool is that?!?! Not only was the trip stress free and among awesome, like-minded people, but Belize was a beautiful location to relax in and explore. I would go back in a heartbeat. I took the U30X trip to Iceland and it was incredible. The biggest thing I noticed from the start of the trip was that it didn't feel like I was traveling with a tour company but rather friends from college that just happened to all go to Iceland together. From the beginning, I felt a scene of community and the guides Cesar and Jennifer were awesome at contributing to that. I was hesitant about traveling by myself but once the trip started it definitely didn't feel like I was alone. Iceland is an amazing country with great scenery and people and the farm we stayed at was perfect for the experience. We filled each day with activities and plenty of time to explore each place. Going on this trip with a group of 18 complete strangers was the best decision I made in 2015. I have been a part of other tours before, but the best part of this tour was that it didn't feel like a tour. It felt more like hanging out with people who think and enjoy doing the same stuff as you do and having a great time. Cesar, Jennifer and Kevin (our tour leads) are amazing tour leads as well as great people in general. The trip was very well organized, laid back and relaxing, and mixed with loads of adventure and fun. I couldn't have been more happy with the rest of the group. I made some lasting memories and friendships. There couldn't have been a better way of welcoming the New Year, than spending time in the rainforests of Costa Rica. I feel refreshed and happy. I just returned from the GALAPAGOS, which was my third trip with Under30Experiences. I have never been a big review writer, but couldn't help myself after having three unforgettable, unbelievable trips! The Galapagos felt like a different planet with new animals and amazing views around every corner, but it was truly the leaders that made it special - we had Jonno (who rocks), as well as some amazing local guides - Vicky, Edwin and Wilson. U30X Iceland was one of the most amazing trips that I have ever been on! I felt like I was on the edge of the Earth and loved enjoying all the beautiful things that Iceland had to offer. I have never traveled with a tour group before but after being on a U30X trip I don't think any other travel company would compare. What I think sets U30X apart from other companies is that while we have a relatively set schedule, there is still down time to relax and we also have options to do other excursions/activities that may not be on the set schedule. Cesar and Courtney are the BEST leaders and genuinely wanted to get to know each and every person in our group. I can truly say that I made lifetime friends on this trip and I really loved my group!! This was my first U30X trip and it was amazing! I met amazing people and built friendships that will last a lifetime. I joined 18 other people on the New Years trip to Costa Rica at Rancho Margot. As a group we went ziplining, kyaking, hiking, and learned all about sustainability. While traveling and doing different activities was fun, I would say the best part of the trip was meeting all of the amazing people. Everyone on this trip inspired me to continue traveling and pursue things outside of my ordinary life.
