Since I went to Iceland in 2018, I've done 6 more trips with under30. I def recommend them to anyone who is looking to travel and might not know where to start.

The Costa Rica extended trip exceeded my expectations, and Ray was THE best tour guide I have ever had. Rey shared his stories and his love for his country with me. While eating delicious and organic food, I formed a bond of friendship with my traveling group. We hiked, zip-lined, crossed suspension bridges, and did many other activities in the Costa Rica forest. Despite being strangers, we came together and supported each other. Every person should have this experience, as it is one I will never forget.

Found this tour group through Google and booked a 5 day Costa Rica trip on Black Friday for $600. Had to book airfare separately but this cost included most meals and activities. We stayed at a lovely hotel on the beach in the Manuel Antonio area. Our tour guide Edgardo was absolutely fantastic in every way. Group size was 16 and ages spanned from 23 to 33. Would absolutely travel with them again.

My first U30X trip was to Ireland in March, and I was initially skeptical as someone who prefers to plan every aspect of a trip and has traveled to Ireland several times before. As soon as we met our tour guide, Tom, any doubts I had vanished. Tom and our bus driver Paddy were absolute delights, with excellent commentary (both historical and candid) and a top notch attitude from sunset to midnight (yes, midnight, Tom hung out with us at pubs nearly every night!) We ate extremely well at local, long time beloved spots in every town we visited. I was shocked by the variety of options and cuisines - I think we only had traditional pub food twice the entire week. The lodgings at local b&b homes were fantastic (my experience at Adare Guest House in Galway was one of the best b&b lodgings I've ever had!) The itinerary was excellent for a "beginner's trip" to Ireland, and Tom asked Paddy to make slight detours at times that were absolutely worth it. Spending Paddy's Day in Galway was a once in a lifetime experience, and I'm so glad U30X doesn't bring you into the craziness of Dublin on the 17th. I only wish the trip was a couple days longer so we could have spent time in one more city - and more time with Tom and Paddy! Can't recommend U30X or the Ireland trip enough. Don't hesitate at all - book your next trip with U30X! And don't let the name deter you, my group included people aged 27-42 :)

I completed the Inca Trail Hike with Juan Carlos as our guide and cannot say enough great things. The trip was so well-organized with every detail accounted for. Juan Carlos was the perfect guide. He was so knowledgeable, adaptable to the needs and requests of the group, and always ensured we were safe and enjoying our time. He truly made the trip so successful! The ultimate highlight of the trip was having such an amazing group of people to connect with. Cannot wait for my next u30x trip!

A little bit late posting this review, but better late than never. February 2019 I had the time of my life exploring Thailand with U30X. Rebecca was the best tour guide our group could have had. She also mentioned that we were one of her best groups she has had. Perfect match. Love that they don't force you to do things, that they give you the option to hang back if you'd rather do something else. I will say, we did allot of group activities that were included and we had to pay for ourselves. Didn't mind, but just be aware that there will be some things that aren't apart of the actual tour, but since everyone is doing it, feels like it. I did not want to leave Thailand, I actually cried. The people were so warm, the food was good and the weather was nice. If you have the opportunity to go, take it!

Easy boarding, and an added attraction that boarding is at the visitor's center, which has lots of fun touristy items on sale. Hit just a few downtown highlights and back stories. It's not a fast moving or detailed tour - it's a shorter ride with more fun intended. The duck quackers everyone got when boarding were silly and fun and well used. Seating was a little tight for the grown ups (lots of kids), but the open air sides made up for it. The time on the lake was probably the highlight. It's a different perspective than the usual tourist view. We'd not do again, but were glad we did once. A little too loud and a little too kid friendly for that fifth star.

In previous vacations we took bus tours to get a little bit more familiar with the city and that is what we did with Austin. Only this time we rode a Double Decker bus! I have seen this kind of bus tour here and there and have seen it when I am in Seattle. Officially I think after this particular bus tour it was my first time riding a Double Decker bus. The weather was typical spring weather on our entire visit but the day we chose to take this tour it was nice and warm and a perfect time to go ride this bus followed by rain for a few days (This took place in April). The ride was so much fun and the tour guide was great! Austin is definitely a different cut than the rest of Texas and that was reflected in many of the people we met. Open mindedness being one and we really felt that with the tour guide. He was so knowledgeable of the city and the neighborhoods and all that made this bus tour all the more amazing. But of course they would probably have staff with personalities that would be compatible in this way. Riding on the top of the bus was so much fun. A few times we had to duck from tree branches and I lowered my head a few times from the traffic lights but that was just me getting nervous with being that high to a light. You see all the sights, famous buildings, museums, local culture, restaurant recommendations and so much more while on this tour. So this was a great experience! I was in Austin proper once a very long time ago and saw just how much it's grown. So it was cool getting acquainted with the city one more time thanks to this bus tour!

At first, I sat on the upper level. It was wonderful to be out in the fresh air. However, the sun was a little too much for me so I had to move down to the inside area. I was the only one down there which was fine, but it was really quite filthy. There was thick gray dust on the top rail of all the seats and the fabric on the seats themselves was all thick with black grease. The tour guide was really wonderful. Entertaining and knowledgeable with one exception that was actually kind of disturbing to me personally. When we got to South Congress he talked about the "I love you so much" wall. His story of a husband painting it for his wife could not have been more wrong. It was in fact done by an artist named Amy for her then girlfriend Liz an infamous Austin hotelier and restauranteur. It is an incredibly iconic part of Austin history and if it's told it should be not fiction. I hope for sure this can be corrected for future tours.

This was one of my favorite experiences in Austin…read more Buying the tickets online for the sunset cruise was easy (the people who sat at our table were able to walk on and buy tickets, too). The sights from the river of the bridges, buildings, birds, & reflections off the water were wonderful. The worker who narrated the tour was personable and informative. And yes, it was BYOB, which was another enjoyable bonus. We got very lucky that night. It was a particularly warm December evening, and I'm from Seattle so I was sweating and not knowing if this was normal weather out in Austin, but I guess this may have had something to do with the luck we had that night. This was a normal sunset tour, NOT a bat tour. I've heard of the bats under Congress bridge being a thing to see in Austin in warmer parts of the year. We were not expecting to see them this time, and this is what the worker told us from the very beginning. However, after much of the tour is over and the boat is making its last approach towards Congress bridge... I hear another patron shout "Captain, look!" We all look towards the sky. A thick twisting wave of little bats is passing above us. Then another, and another. They keep, on, coming!!! It was amazing. The narrator said, "Well, I guess this just became a bat tour!" and he shares more information on the bats, points out observations as they fly, and just made the whole journey even more memorable. Even without the bats, the tour was awesome, but I love how easily they transitioned into bat tour mode. Thank you Lone Star Riverboat for an unforgettable time!

I thought I would see bats flying away from the bridge all together but what I ended up seeing was a few tiny bats flying inside the bridge (not very exciting). It was even better than I imagined. I'm no huge "Elf" fan, but after several Palomas, Buddy's schtick was about the funniest thing I had ever seen. I also looooooooooved the dancing up on deck. We lucked out and had a lovely Austin afternoon on the water. The music was a solid mix of 90s throwback dance tunes, and the whole atmosphere was silly and lighthearted and happy. The food was very good, too -- pizza from Via 313, bfast tacos and a candy buffet. We ended our cruise with a special surprise from Buddy -- Santa had gifted us all with jewelry from Kendra Scott! I don't know how often that happens, but I love random surprises. And the retail price of those gifts was more than what we paid for our brunch experience. Score! What a memorable day! I can't wait for the next one.
