Going in, I was nervous to meet and travel with a group of strangers, but the other travelers on my trip were awesome, and great friendships were built over our five days together. We've already started planning our reunions in the states together! Jurgen was our trip leader, and he was SO helpful and enthusiastic during the duration of the trip. As a Costa Rica native, he is extremely passionate about the culture and the people in his country, and helped us all feel that same passion by the end of our trip. The excursions planned were amazing, specifically the cooking experience and the adventure with Quepo Canyoning. I just got back from the Costa Rica Rainforest trip. It was absolutely amazing! Everything was seamlessly planned, and we always had something great on the agenda. Our eco-resort was a once in a lifetime experience, as was the amazing adventures such as ziplining, and kayaking a lake in the shadow of a volcano. Under30experiences did a wonderful job making sure the activities went smoothly and as expected. There were two optional excursions, horseback riding and a visit to the hot springs. They cost additional money, but I would recommend them both. What had to have been the most incredible part of the trip were the other travelers. Such a great community of people! I was pretty nervous to travel outside of the country for the first time ever, let alone going all by myself. I got to Costa Rica later than expected- but Tete had already set up transportation for myself and another couple that we could trust. As soon as we got to the restaurant where the rest of the group was, they were all so welcoming. I was so worried I would feel awkward, alone and bored. I just got back from a week in Peru, on the Peru & Machu Picchu trip. It was one of the best trips I've ever been on! Our guide Ruty was so friendly and knowledgeable, and she made the tour really interesting. You could see her passion for Peru and its history, and I learned so much! U30X is a life changer. I'm already planning my next trip! The Under30Experiences team takes the hassle out of planning a trip, manages all the travel details, and caters to the needs of the group. I was fortunate enough to travel to Iceland this October and meet an extraordinary group of people. Iceland is a beautiful country and the daily excursions did not disappoint. We were able to do a ton of stuff in a short 5 days without feeling rushed from one spot to the next. A crucial reason I chose this trip was to partake in activities I normally would not do (i.e. glacier walk). I hiked a freaking glacier. I still can't believe it. Luckily, there are hundreds of pictures to prove that I actually conquered that quest. Another huge impact that made this trip special was knowing I made lifelong friends that I never would have met without U30X. I tremendously enjoyed my experience in Costa Rica . There was a great itinerary, in which we got to do and see a lot but it wasn't rushed so we could experience everything to the fullest. Our trip leader, Yoza , was a HUGE part of what made the trip as fulfilling and unique as it was . He organized the itinerary well, and took care of every last detail so that everything ran seamlessly. Yoza taught us a lot about the Country, and the people ,enabling us to immerse ourselves in the culture , and connect with locals . He applied all the knowledge he had about the wildlife and ecosystem to help us further understand what we were seeing . Wow! Wow! Wow! I've been to some fun and amazing places but Bali was truly a dream vacation come true. What really made the trip perfection was the U30X team (Luz García Yogageek, Matt Wilson, and Dewa Nyoman Agradiputra) and the staff at the Villa Awang Awang. I now have a little Bali family (me + 10 more). I know it was meant to be for all of us to come together and experience such a beautiful and spiritual place together. I first heard about Under30Experiences in November 2013 from a friend who was hosting a crowdfunding campaign to go on the explore Costa Rica trip. She ended up deciding to go to Iceland... and in Sep 2014, I booked my first trip to starter Costa Rica for March 2015. I was a little nervous about traveling with a group of people I had never met before but it ended up being one of the best trips I've ever taken! As someone who doesn't really want the added stress of planning a vacation, this was perfect. Plus, it is kind of nice to travel with people who are just as excited about adventure and exploring. My Iceland trip with Under30Experiences was incredible. I would recommend Iceland to anyone and I would recommend U30X to anyone. Iceland terrain is just crazy amazing. Like breathtaking landscape everywhere you look. The fact that there are so many waterfalls and rainbows there makes you wonder if an imaginative little girl designed this country :). But it is seriously so breathtaking and majestic, I was constantly in awe. The people there are all also so kind and helpful. I loved engaging with the local culture. I really respect the program that U30X has built. Each trip is so uniquely crafted so that you can do just as it says in the name--EXPERIENCE. They tend to plot the ventures around holidays so you don't need to take too much time out of work. And the price is set to allow young people to take advantage of the opportunity. Something I didn't expect was that I'd adore the people I was with so much. My experience with U30X was more amazing than I could have imagined. I originally didn't know what to expect other than meeting a great group of people, but I accomplished things I never would have otherwise considered. Things like finding yoga near a scenic riverfront after climbing up a mountain through the jungle in pitch black darkness with just a dog and a flashlight, all to see the sunrise above a volcano; only after losing my glasses kayaking in the lake nearby, after zigzag zip lining across mountains... within 36 hrs. Went on the Galápagos Islands trip in mid November. Everything about it was perfect and I couldn't recommend it more. We spent so much time outside, saw tons of animals, and were active every day. Some highlights definitely include snorkeling and seeing the giant tortoises. All the guides- Jonno, Vicky, Wilson, and Edwin were super cool and knowledgable. Personally, I can't even plan a trip with one friend without a headache, but somehow U30x has done what I thought impossible. They've made traveling with people easy! When the email for Belize arrived in my inbox, I didn't even hesitate. Having already gone to Iceland with U30x in March of 2014, I knew that this experience would be nothing short of amazing, and signed up for my January 2015 adventure. Within days, three of my close friends were on board. Ready to escape with me to sunny beaches of Caye Caulker, far away from the blizzardy reality of our windy city, Chicago. Upon arrival, we met the rest of the travelers from all over the country, and Matt and Courtney literally led us through shark infested waters together with ease. Our island's motto was "Go Slow", and though not all of us with type-A personalities were able to shut our brains off completely, I've never had a more relaxing vacation in my life. My relationship with U30X started last November 2014. Work and regular life were getting monotonous and I decided I needed a getaway. I did some research and came across U30X's website. It seemed like a group that attracted individuals similar to myself (young professionals who like to travel) so I spoke extensively with Jared and another friend of a friend who had done a trip - I was sold! 1ST TRIP - NICARAGUA - NOVEMBER 2014 Jared and Cesar led my first trip to Nicaragua and it was an incredible cultural experience! This trip was filled with many trips to the beach, amazing sunsets, and real cultural immersion - we met with women entrepreneurs and later played soccer with local school children. I highly recommend the Nicaragua trip for relaxation, learning about a new culture, and getting a great tan! 2ND TRIP - ICELAND - OCTOBER 2015 Almost a full year later (just a few weeks ago!) I went on my 2nd U30X trip, led by Courtney and Eric, to Iceland! The pace was much different than Nicaragua - this is a pretty active, lots of hiking/walking, exploration kind of trip. But - this is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. And that's saying a lot because I've been to many places! The scenery in Iceland looks like something straight out of a story book. Every destination that U30X takes you to will take your breath away at how stunningly beautiful it is. Definitely go on the October trip to see the Northern Lights! And then after a long day of exploring, everyone meets for dinner and relaxes in the hot tubs at the guest cabins we stay at, on a beautiful farm. Sharing with all of you my two favorite pictures I took here - the first is from our glacier hike and the second is this incredible spot our bus driver pulled over to, spur of the moment, on the side of the road. One thing that's universal between these trips is how knowledgeable all the guides are and how easy they make it to travel. Before I booked a trip with this company, I was a little hesitant because there were a lot of rave reviews. Not a lick of anything negative to be found. Highly suspicious by nature, I was a little skeptical of all the positive reviews. But, after spending a week with five other strangers plus a wonder tour guide had put all my suspicions to rest. My week trip to Peru was phenomenal! And has been one of my favorite adventure trips so far. I went on this trip on an impulsive whim and I am so happy I went. It was not one of those trips where every hour and minute is jam packed of scheduled activities. There was also too a lot of down time that lets you explore independently individually or with your group. Some activities we did were: Hiked up to Cristo Blanco, hiked/rode a horse on Rainbow Mtn., visit Machu Picchu, Chocolate Museum, learned salsa dancing at night, and ate a Guinea Pig/Alpaca. I do think what made the trip extra special were: 1) the group that I explored with. I was fortunate to be in small but fun group. Which made it easier to pass time on bus/train rides. 2) Roland is an amazing guide. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about Peru. He has so many stories and recommendations. By the way, if he says something about going uphill. Prepare for a climb! It's leg day. Cristo Blanco has a....lot of stairs. The people, culture, history, food, and scenery all make the experience worthwhile! Hope to experience another trip with the company in the near future. I just got back from the Under30 trip to Ireland and these reviews are a great reflection of what to expect from the trip. Traveling with amazing people, seeing several parts of Ireland in just one week (slightly exhausting but well worth it!), amazing guides (cough cough Del and Eric), and just getting to take in and experience a new place. As someone who is a terrible planner and executioner of the "plans", this trip was awesome because there was a set itinerary that still allowed you to do your own thing. I also fell into this trip as my friend had already planned out going on the trip in the first place, so I was incredibly pleased at how easy it was to sign up about a month before the planned date, receive all the emailed information, and get ready to go for this trip. Just got back from my first U30X trip and itching to go on another trip. U30X is way more than a tour company, they provide life experiences (as the name indicates). I went on the France to Spain trip at the end of June, and it could not have been a more perfect trip. The accommodations, activities, trip leaders, and fellow travelers were better than I could imagine. I recommend this trip so much that if a friend wanted to go with me, I'd do it all again. The itinerary, promo videos and photos do not do this trip full justice. It's truly just ridiculously amazing. After going to Costa Rica in 2014, I kicked off 2015 going to Belize with the U30x crew again. New people, same incredible experience. Fun activities, but the real joy is the people you'll meet while on the trip, and the memories you create together. The trips are short enough where you don't have to take very much time off work, but I recommend extending your trip on your own time and visiting neighboring countries (something I haven't done but my other trip-mates who did said it was great). They both completely enhanced the trip with their positivity; fun loving good nature and knowledge.  B. Your co travellers  Must confess that I was a little apprehensive in case the group was super young and difficult to relate to. My fear was unfounded and realized that the type of people Under 30 Experiences attracts is unique, everyone has a different story and the atmosphere fosters openness that means at times people share stories they might find difficult to do at home which makes for lots of cool conversations. 3. TIPS FOR PACKING A. Exercise/ work out clothing: Unless you're going to the beach after no need to pack any cute skirts and tops, they will never see the light of day! Shorts and t-shirts for the day. Bring light pants or leggings and long sleeved tops to wear to dinner which is outside to avoid bug bites. Bring closed toe shoes to wear to dinner too (Your trainers will be recovering from the days activities). B. Mini hairdryer: I didn't bring one thinking that may be diva esque for a rainforest trip and wished I'd had one. The nature of the rainforest air means it's impossible to dry anything even your hair.  C. Essentials: You can never pack too much sunscreen and bug spray. I just finished my first U30X trip to the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu in October and it was easily one of the coolest experiences of my life. U30X managed to take care of every little detail from pick-up and drop-off airport logistics, hotels, food, and all of the transportation without a single hitch. Our instructors (Diomedes "CoCo" & Kevin) were one of the best parts of the trip. Our group had a few challenges along the trail when a few people got elevation sickness, but they both handled everything in stride and made sure everything continued as planned. CoCo is an awesome storyteller and knows a TON about Incan and Peruvian culture. The incredible views and awesome people on our trip were easily my favorite parts, but a close third is the food we ate on the trip. Somehow with a little gas cooker and a pop-up tent, the chef managed to make us some of the most amazing Peruvian classics. I would highly recommend this company and trip to anyone! read more

Just finished a trip to Iceland with U30X. It was a fabulous experience- our trip leaders were positive and gave us a wonderful overview of Iceland. We got to ride horses, hike a volcano, walk on a glacier, soak in stunning hot springs, explore the city, and even take a ferry ride to nearby islands. Like many of you that are reading this post I was skeptical but hopeful about a travel group with like-minded individuals - about safety, where we stay and whether it would be fun. However there was absolutely no reason to be nervous! It was amazing, the hotels we stayed at were very nice, safety was never a concern in Peru - always with the group and u30x leaders. I have to agree with many reviews on here - you make amazing friends with several I still keep in contact. We had 12 people in our group and everyone got along amazingly well! Would definitely recommend it to friends and family and am hoping to go to several more trips with the group! Very well planned out with great stops along the way and eating at great restaurants that are locally owned. Having the group leaders fluent in Spanish was a huge help as well. read more

I just returned from my second trip with Under30Experiences. My first was Iceland and most recent was Bali! I knew from my previous experience with the company that the trip would not disappoint and I couldn't have been happier with my decision to go to Bali. I met a wonderful group of 11 others from all over the country and we were given a very local perspective of Bali, staying in a small village and diverting from the more touristy sections. We did a volcano hike, Indonesian cooking class, rice paddy tour, visit to a monkey forest and a river hike, to name a few activities. The accommodations were top-notch and the trip well organized. This was my 4th trip to Europe but my first with Under30 and I'm so glad I did it! I knew I was going to be in France this summer and decided to search for a travel group to meet up with after my solo travels. Having always traveled with friends or family I booked it with some trepidation...but it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. Every day I laughed and learned with what felt like old friends who just hadn't met until now. The vibe of the group helped get everyone out of their comfort zone in a way you couldn't replicate traveling with friends from home or by yourself. I recently went on the Fitness Costa Rica trip last month and......Greatest experience of my life! And this is coming from someone that's traveled before for pleasure, work, and military reasons. Beach everyday. Getting a nice tan in a short time. Immersing myself in the local culture. Eating great and fresh food. Relaxing in a hammock in the late afternoon as short thunderstorms pass by. Seeing monkeys play in trees that are a couple feet in front of you. Experiencing all the great things you can do in the water. Daily workouts led by a coach from one of the top CrossFit gyms in the U.S. Great conversations with new friends. What more could you ask for? Before going on the trip I was hesitant to sign up. I wasn't going to know anyone. I was traveling somewhere I had no "real" prior knowledge about. In the days leading up to it, I even considered not going because of work related reasons or other excuses I was just trying to make up. But that fear of traveling to this unknown place was what ultimately made me go. Yes, it was scary, but I knew there was something good there. And I was right! Greatest experience ever! Even though it was only for a few short days (4-5 days), we did a lot. Being in Costa Rica and being disconnected from the rest of the world definitely changed my perspective on life.
