I initially contacted this company to consider daily dog walks. They came out for a meet-and-greet, and I met the walker. I explained that I needed to discuss it with my husband before moving forward. However, the next day, the walker showed up and took my dog for a walk even though we had not hired them yet. My husband was working from home and allowed the walk, assuming something had been confirmed. The walker returned about 10 minutes later and said my dog refused to walk -- which is very typical for her, so we believed him. I assumed this was a miscommunication, so I reached out to clarify that we were still deciding. I received written confirmation that this was understood. Despite that, the walker came again the following day. This day, my dog was not even home and was at daycare. The communication throughout was extremely poor. The walks that did occur were very short (5-10 minutes), and there was no app or reliable system for tracking or communication. The entire experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. When I left a review describing this, the company responded by calling me a liar and denying that they ever walked my dog. This is despite the fact that they emailed me a "report card" stating my dog had peed on her walk -- and we have ring camera footage of the walker taking her out. So either the walker lied directly and falsified their report, or management has no idea what is happening in their own company. Both possibilities are concerning. With that said, Samantha in the operations office went to great lengths to address any concerns and is always available to answer questions about billing, scheduling, etc. My dog thoroughly enjoys 60-minute walks with her regular walker, who is a tall young guy with long legs (that means they cover a lot of ground)! We booked this company to take care of our two puppies while we were at a soccer tournament for the day. We noticed that no one had entered the house over an hour after the expected time. I scheduled three mid-day walks a couple weeks before an out-of-town trip. The walks would prevent my wife from having to come home mid-day to walk our dog. Less than 48 hours before my departure I logged into my account to get the name of our walker. Much to my shock and dismay it read, Unassigned. I immediately called, it went to voice mail. Always does, frustrating. I promptly sent a text; it was 11:39am. Twenty minutes later (11:59am) I received. "Good morning, we have reached out to our staff regarding these appointments, but have not been able to confirm a walker able to do them at this time. -Austin. What??? I scheduled these walks weeks ago. It's now 42 hours before I get on an airplane, and 48 hours before the first walk. When did they plan to tell me??? At 1202pm I further questioned the situation and I received: "Our apologies, please understand that we want to give our walkers as much chance to respond as possible." They had weeks! What about their customer's needs??!! At 1208pm I asked, do I have a walker or not? I did not hear back, so at 1245pm I told them, don't bother. I'll find someone else. What kind of a insensitive operation is this to let a customer think they have a walker, and let the unassigned situation go down to less than two days? At 1:54pm management sent me a text attempting damage control. It was too, too late. I had already found a new walker. My assessment of Waggy Walkys. The machine has gotten too large. The manager pleaded COVID staffing problems, walker ill, etc. If they don't have proper staff and know it, give the customer at least a week to recover. There's no excuse for not giving me adequate time to find another walker. There's also no excuse for me discovering the problem before they tell me. Their front line communicators / schedulers should be much better trained. If the bottom line was, "we'll have a walker for you." That should have been stated upfront! Not, "we have been unable to confirm a walker." We had more than a dozen walks with Waggy Walky. Their walkers were terrific. Friendly, energetic and both my wife and dog loved them. However, their frontline communication and scheduling system is severely flawed and ill equipped to handle a situation like this. This was EXTREAMLY stressful. I'm done with Waggy Walky. There is an organization called, The National Capital Area Professional Pet Sitters Network. We found a wonderful walker through them who saved the day. read more

Waggy Walkys has been a saving grace for me for the last year I've had my dog. When I initially decided I wanted a dog I reached out to them to see what would be needed to ensure that I would have a walker that was able to meet my desired walk times. Justin Schramm (the director of sales at the time) talked me through the whole process ensuring I was comfortable knowing that this was an organization that was ready to meet my needs. I adopted Daisy at the end of March of 2019 and I immediately setup service with Waggy Walkys. They are great communicators and they were quick to respond to any questions, comments, or concerns that I had as a new dog mom. I moved from Maryland to Va during the summer of 2019 and swapped from daytime walks Monday - Friday to evening walks Saturday through Tuesday. Once I found out my schedule was going to change to nights I reached out to WWs and they were quickly able to find me a walker that would be able to work my requested schedule. Vanessa, my walker, has been a God send and she has made the transition to a new area and a new shift more seamless than I could have ever imagined. She is a great communicator and leaves detailed notes about my dog's activities while even having learned the name of her other puppy friends in the neighborhood which shows me that she pays attention to what makes Daisy (my dog) happy! Waggy Walkys is a great organization that cares about their customers and Vanessa has elevated an already great experience to a world class experience! THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT REVIEW I'VE EVER WRITTEN ON YELP. PLEASE READ. If you're like me my dog is my child and is family. We started using Waggy Walkys August 2016 and our walker Greg was sufficient but we noticed both dogs behavior was getting significantly worse as time went on. They were not listening to any commands and we were finding it difficult to walk them in the evenings. I have a varying work schedule so I had an opportunity to actually watch him walk our dogs a few times. Basically he would get the dogs, take them out and then take them right back in. Our building has 24 hour concierge and he also mentioned that our dog walker literally takes them to a close by area lets them do their business and then immediately takes them upstairs. Our building has a large park and a nice walking path for the dogs. When Greg decided to resign in February 2017 it gave us the perfect opportunity to research other companies. 2/16/17 - We notified the company via email we would be canceling our services. 2/16/17 - We received a reply email that said "I canceled all scheduled walks after this Friday and will send confirmation for this month." 2/20/17 - We started using another dog walker service, absolutely stellar, Untangled Leashes. 1. They took both dogs for 20-25 minutes each day to take them for a walk/potty break. 2. I get tons of photos of their walks every day which are time stamped. 3. Online portal which gives you a report card of how they did on their potty break and any pertinent information. 4. They showed up every day on time. 5. They also give them water and a treat. So why am I writing this review because if you love your dog as much as I do, you don't want Waggy Walkys to be involved. 4/28/17 - I get an invoice from Waggy Walkys. WHAT? Apparently a dog walker by the name of Fernando walked my dogs on 4/3, 4/5, 4/6, and 4/7/17. -Have I met Fernando? NO. -Have I begun service with Waggy Walkys again? NO. -Did I give them permission to enter my apartment? NO. -Was there a paper report card left each day of the walk? NO. -Is there any evidence that this Fernando came and actually walked my dogs? NO. -Does this Fernando even know how to handle either dog since he's never met the dogs or done a meet and greet with the owners? NO. -What if he walked into the apartment while I was home? What kind of repercussions are there with a complete stranger trespassing? -What if something had happened to my dog? I canceled service with them on 2/16/17 and then nearly two months later, they show up to my place without any sort of notice, walked my dogs for a SECOND time in a day for 4 days and then proceeded to charge me for these services without any kind of proof. Here are the negatives of using Waggy Walkys: 1. They use paper to indicate that they were in your place, very little evidence that they actually walked your dog. And in my case, the dog walker NEVER left a piece of water indicating that he had even walked the dogs. No proof. 2. Absolutely no time stamp of when they entered and exited and how long of a walk the dogs are taken on. Zero accountability here. 3. Dog walker was late most days. I know because I was home. 4. FRAUD. 5. TRESPASSING WITHOUT PERMISSION TO ENTER. UNLAWFUL. 4/28/17 - Spoke with the operations manager Chris Lafferty who said he would 1. refund me 2. look into why the dog walker did not leave a single report card in that 4 day period which would have notified me that he was in our apartment and 3. to remove my credit card from their system so I will not be charged in the future. 5/2/17 - Guess what? He failed on all THREE. What kind of company conducts business this way? And on top of it all, I had to call them to ask the status of these action items instead of them proactively communicating to me. 5/2/17 - Spoke to one of the owners of Waggy Walkys and he offered me a Visa gift card so that I would not write a 1 star Yelp review based on my experience. BRIBERY. Ok, well I can't be bribed, as a consumer I have the right to report real information and no amount of money would ever affect me telling the truth about this horrid experience. We have been using Waggy Walkys to walk our English Bulldog for about 4 months now, first 3 days a week and then 5 days a week. As Bulldog owners we have high expectations and required standards of care when it comes to "The Kid". Ours has numerous allergies and temperature sensitivities so I needed to ensure whoever walked her clearly understood and could accommodate her needs. After an in-depth application, Marina came over for a meet and greet. She asked good questions about habits, dos/don'ts, training, etc. while sitting on the floor playing with The Kid. She hit it off great with us and our pup so we started on a 3 days a week, 15 minute walk schedule. It was wonderful to come home to a happy bully on the days Marina had been there so we quickly moved to 5 days a week. I have been very happy with the level of communication from Waggy Walkys. I LOVE how I can rely on my walker- Sue- to always be there for my Blakey. I recently went on maternity leave and was home for several months with my daughter but couldn't walk my dog. Sue came each day and I loved seeing/hearing her with Blake. He was always so excited to her. After her walks with him she will play with him inside and always ends with a treat. I've used Waggy Walkys for over two years now and I can't recommend them enough. Our walker is reliable and takes great care of our dog, who loves to see him when he arrives. Our walker comes during a specified time range and is very careful not to let our dog off-leash. We have had some minor issues with replacement walkers when our primary walker is away, but WW has always been very responsive to our concerns. They alert us well in advance that our primary walker will be gone and introduce us to the replacement walkers. Rarely, but sometimes, the replacement walkers have not come, but as soon as we alerted WW to this, they immediately got us a different replacement. The staff is very cordial and professional. We received good service that week, including texts from our walkers after every walk to give us peace of mind that the walk actually occurred. Management worked really hard to resolve the situation and have been dedicated in trying to find us a more stable walker situation. We had continued to use the service despite the rough patch because we had gone a solid 3 years prior to it with great experiences. The rough patch lasted about 7 months. It's looking up again. PLEASE BEWARE!!!! So many ISSUES with this business!!!! First, their dog walkers are not properly trained! The one assigned to us didn't know how to handle the dog barking at another dog and left a nasty note complaining to our dog and us. Secondly, we requested vacation visits. Only a few days before our departure, they notified us that they couldn't find any walker. We had to scramble and called every boarding place to find a space which was super expensive because it was a major holiday. Finally, we terminated their services. Then the house keys that we gave them were not returned. It's been 6 months. I complained but they maintain that the walker returned it. Don't they think that they should at least make sure that the keys are returned safely in the owners' hand? (UPDATE) After I posted this review, I received a call from the office and they are trying to solve the lost key issue. read more

I unfortunately did not have a good experience with Waggy Walkys over the three months that I have used their service, resulting in me terminating a month earlier than planned to hire an independent dog walker at a higher rate instead. The dogwalkers for Waggy Walkys are very nice, but occasionally left my house in disarray after daily 15 minute walks with my dog. I am fine with people using my kitchen to cook or enjoying my balcony, but there should be policies against trash being left behind. At one point, a pack of gum was left on the floor which could have harmed my dog had he eaten it. More frustrating, however, were my issues with communication and scheduling from Waggy Walkys. On three occasions in the past two weeks, the company has called me between noon and 1pm (my walks are scheduled to take place during this time) to let me know, with no notice, that my dogwalker was unavailable. Twice they also tried to send new walkers to my house, despite my request that no irregular dogwalkers go to walk my dog, who is very scared of strangers. This was extremely inconvenient, as these problems arose with absolutely no notice resulting in me having to leave work to walk my dog or having him just wait hours until I was able to get home. After agreeing to switch dogwalkers to alleviate these multiple cancellations, Waggy Walkys notifed me with one business day's notice that they were unable to find a regular replacement walker in a timely fashion. At this point, I decided to cancel the service. Again, I really enjoyed communicating with the dogwalkers at Waggy Walkys who are very nice and were great with my dog. The company needs to pay closer attention to client profiles and requests so as not to put both their walkers and the animals in danger by sending strangers to someone's apartment when they're requested otherwise, and they need to have a clear plan for handling emergency dogwalker call-out situations so the owner can be notified ahead of time. Update 11/27: The owner contacted me after this review and offered two weeks worth of free walks to fix this. We had a good conversation and discussed some of the incidents above in more detail. I declined this offer but the quick and concerned response was appreciated. As such I have upped my review to two stars, given a clear attempt to rectify the situation! read more

This company was horrific. The walker turn over was monthly if not weekly. There were several instances of no shows without an explanation. Chance was nice but the walkers he hired were not consistent or responsible. Based on several phone calls and emails with the staff at Waggy Walkys we agreed to give their service another try. This time around we used them for 10 morning walks. There were no missed walks and we received a text message most days letting us know how our dog was.
