My mom made a 15 minute vaccine appointment for the cat and my brother in law brought the cat in. Without asking permission Palisades did a physical, blood tests, and a urine draw before giving us a 700$ bill. This is like taking your car in for an oil change and finding out later they replaced the transmission. My mom called to speak to the manger and when she did not return my mom's phone call, I called on her behalf. The office staff was really apologetic and said they made a mistake (5 stars for the office staff!) and said that their office manager Vicki would call me or my mom back. Vicki did not call either of us back and when I got through to her later was basically a monster. I was not looking for a full refund and told her that, but an apology would have gone a long way. Also, I work for a hospital. If this had happened at my job: doing a procedure on a patient without permission- you would lose your license. Vicki - who is not a vet- would absolutely have lost her job for this. I recommend if you are need or service that you buy a round trip ticket to Europe for you and your cat and get a rabies booster over there. I also want to add that after I posted this google review I received a threatening text from the CEO "Ry" from his personal cell (posted). When I called him for clarification, he started screaming at me and then told me he knows all about me and my family and threatened to hurt us.

I had been with them from 2015-2018 until my prior cats had passed away. They were so wonderful with my first two cats that when I saw Palisades routinely does international travel certification, I wondered why I had ever left them. The front desk was friendly and made our lives so much easier by scheduling all four cats on the same day. Even though it has been almost a decade since I've been there, I was treated like an old friend coming back. The vet tech and the doctor gently handled each one of our babies with great care...even our spicy girl Isabela! You can tell they really love animals. At no point were we made to feel bad or shamed for having a spicy cat, which is a really nice change from past vets who would show their disdain for our little girl. The doctor truly understands that animals are reacting out of fear and not malice, which was refreshing. If we weren't moving away permanently, we would definitely make this our go-to place again. A decent example is when the substitute didn't have a key to my unit (a key which my dedicated walker has) and saw that the management office was closed (there is a sign on the door saying to push a call button to get in touch with someone from the management office), instead of calling my cell or my emergency contact, the walker just stayed in the lobby for the allotted walk time. This meant that my dog didn't get walked that day. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time so I write this review as a caution to anybody looking for pet walking services that while this company's dedicated walkers are great, they don't have the best customer service when your walker isn't available and at the price you're paying per walk, it's unacceptable that this type of incident has happened on multiple occasions.

So i scheduled a grooming session for the two adorable bastards. Not only did they pick up and drop off the kitties, they came back beautifully groomed and with adorable bowties. And it's all so very affordable! I'm a huge fan, and will budget for monthly grooming sessions from now on.

I've utilized other day care facilities in the Northern Virginia/Arlington area, but they do not compare to Playful Pack. The staff are friendly and responsive and they instill confidence in me that my girls will receive the best care. The facility is clean and welcoming. The web-services (e.g., online portal, booking and reservations, report cards, photos, live stream) are all unmatched. Further, w/ the Report Cards, specifically, its evident that the staff are getting to know my girls. The comments and descriptions are meaningful and reflective of my pups' very different personalities (i.e., not generic). I've utilized them for day care and boarding at this point and have been very happy. I'll continue to do so increasingly as in-office-time and travel continue to pick up. I've not yet utilized bathing and some of the other services they provide, but plan to do so in the future.

I cannot more effusively recommend them and would give 6 stars out of 5 if I could - they were absolutely fantastic and the best doggy daycare we've ever had. They were attentive and affectionate toward our dog; we always felt comfortable leaving her in their hands in the way we would with family. They were professional, communicative, and accommodating; routinely going beyond our expectations. Their attentiveness showed both in their adapting their level of personal attention when our dog needed a little more (or less) doting (and/or reminders to share the toys with the other dogs), and in their response to when we unexpectedly had to travel and board our dog when she was still under a somewhat complicated, temporary medicine regimen. They seamlessly managed her nightly routine, and even sent us personal photo updates of how our our dog was doing to assuage our concerns in having to leave her behind. Their daily efforts to keep the dogs entertained and mentally engaged were effective and--based on the daily picture updates we received via email--often amusing. All told, the folks at Playful Pack McLean (especially Lester, Becca, and Lauren, but also more broadly the entire team) were wonderful. If we hadn't had to move away, we'd still be bringing our dog there today. We feel confident she still misses her canine and human friends there. And we do too.

Each dog has its own condo and the staff is wonderful about making sure our dogs have everything they need. Amazing staff. Excellent location. Overall a GREAT place. Both dogs literally sprint from the car to Playful Pack's door when they realize where they are going. I will not go anywhere else!
