I worked closely with Danny at the Underground Printing team - even though we're 2,355 miles apart and never met, he was so amazingly responsive and we built a great relationship. A real pleasure to work with! Mine was a very small order and all I wanted was a single hoodie for me to wear as a one-person photography business owner. I thought it would be near impossible to find a firm that would actually want to take such a small order. There was nothing in my area of CA so I found this firm in MI. Add to that, that I was very particular about what kind of hoodie I wanted, and I changed my order from a polo shirt and hoodie to eventually just a hoodie, and Danny worked with me every step of the way. He sent me samples for a small fee (the value of one I ended up choosing ended up coming off my printing bill), as the default choice for black hoodies wasn't quite up to my high standards. I found from the selection Danny made available, a really nice, thick American Apparel one, that I tried on and decided I'd like to go ahead with it. The team helped me with the artwork and this was smooth too as I already had a clear idea and a mock-up of what I wanted it to look like. Being able to try it on (not something I expected to be possible, given that I am nowhere near their facility), was huge for me in building trust, given that it was a $140+ order and it probably wouldn't be possible to get a re-do if I didn't like the quality of the hoodie. The printing and the speed of email reply was super, super quick and I couldn't be more impressed with how smoothly everything went. There are two sides to this business, the retail side along with the custom business. The retail side is great. They have a collection of Michigan themed items at decent prices. Contrary to the M-Den, most of the items here are not Nike. They are just high quality material consisting of screen prints that are done in house from Underground Printing. Outside this location, you can commonly find a $2.99 shirt rack which is amazing. Always find some great items on that rack which retail for so much more. For example, just got a Michigander t shirt for $2.99 and a Brown Jug Bar shirt for $4.49 (70% off). Check out the store, they have a ton of great items. It is not just shirts either. They have things like jackets, hats and other game day accessories. Staff is always super helpful so just let them know if you're looking for something in particular. read more

The shipping was fast and I was notified about every step of the process from acceptance of the order to T-shirt being in print to shipping and delivery. UGP in Ann Arbor is fantastic! I absolutely recommend them because they offer great products, excellent customer service, and extremely fast ordering. Danny helped me and my company in Colorado order apparel for our employees. The process from developing and prepping our company logo for embroidery, choosing apparel and approving the artwork, developing two POGO forms, and ultimately product packaging and delivery was extremely easy and seamless. Ordering company gear this way was so streamlined on the ordering end because each employee entered their own order and UGP individually packaged each employees order; this made the final delivery extremely easy. The managers at our company said that UGP delivered the best quality clothing and embroidery and simplified ordering process than any other company we have used in the past 15 years. I was very disappointed with my experience. When I placed my order I paid extra for shipping to get my order here quick. A day my order was supposed to arrive I got an email saying my package could not be delivered due to a snowstorm (which is fine), but I suspect my order would not have arrived on time anyway. I was in constant contact with a customer service rep trying to get information on my order, but nothing. Today my order arrives out of the blue. I never received any shipping or tracking information. The printing on the shirts is not very high quality and looks faded already despite being brand new. The entire process gave me the feeling this company is extremely disorganized. The only reason I did not give 1 star is because the company did refund what I paid for expedited shipping, which I found very to be very professional and did appreciate. read more
