I chose here to custom order a little thoughtful something for my wife. UGP offers all sorts of custom printing needs, including screen printing and digital printing (ideal for small batch sizes), and they have a very easy to use interface that allows you to choose your clothing type and create your own unique design. It even allows you to choose how many colors are included in the print. More important than reasonable pricing, flexible order options, and quick turnaround and delivery time, the customer service I received was excellent! The first product arrived with some visual staining, so I sent photos into customer service to ask about it. The stains were identified and as directed I was able to wash them out. However the company still insisted on sending another print because they didn't catch the issue in the first place. The second product came quickly and was exactly as expected. UGP offers good products and pricing and great service, which means I will absolutely choose them again for future printing requests. read more

Ordered in December 2019. Total blackout from them for 3 weeks. Finally got an email to review the proofs. Took another week to get the wrong order, nothing like the proof. Now they want me to send the shirts back and waste more of my time. The best they can offer me is to give me the correct shirts in another week, which will have been a month since I placed my order. They're "we're sorry we messed up" response is we'll eventually get it right at my time expense. I will barely have them within hours of when I need them. Sorry, not good enough. read more

We recently did a T-shirt sale as a fundraiser for our scholarship fund. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Underground Printing's "POGO" online ordering service helped us sell 2-3 times as many shirts as we could have otherwise. Traditionally we would try to guess how many of each size shirt to buy upfront, pick a fabric, place a bulk order, then labor the whole football season to sell the shirts, having too much of one size and not enough of another. With POGO we were basically able to coordinate a giant group order online, allowing people pick the sizes and styles they want and pay for their orders in advance. For a modest fee, Underground Printing provided access to a slick ordering platform, covered the credit card expenses, then sorted and shipped the orders to the individual buyers, who paid a flat shipping fee. This service was of great value to us, as we got sales from all over the country that we otherwise wouldn't have made. Underground Printing also offers a pickup option where individuals still order what they want online, but the products are shipped in bulk for distribution locally. We actually offered both pickup and shipping options during our first sale, as local pickup allowed those willing to pick up at our football watch parties to avoid paying for shipping. Each "pickup" order was individually packaged and labeled - so much better than having to root through boxes of shirts for the right sizes and styles. We thought it was totally worth the modest POGO fee. What we also loved about Underground Printing is that they helped us turn our design concept into artwork that looked good. We're no artists, so this service was hugely valuable, and UP patiently worked with us through several drafts until the artwork was just right. UP then handled the licensing with the University and provided us with the files we needed to promote our shirts online. We were very satisfied with the quality of the printing and the wide selection of shirts available. For the most part the individual orders were fulfilled accurately, and the 1-2 mistakes were addressed promptly and cheerfully. Evan, our sales contact, handled our order brilliantly. He quickly understood what we were trying to do and helped us choose the right products and services. He gave us a link that allowed us to see sales totals by product in real time. He couldn't have been more helpful, responsive and flexible. He made our somewhat complicated group order a breeze. One thing to understand about POGO is that even though individuals are placing orders online, it's not an online store, but rather a way to place a big group order. At the end of the sale, the products must all be printed and shipped at once. If you need an online store, you're probably better off placing a traditional bulk order and finding another ordering / inventory solution. read more

I did a lot of research on custom printing before I chose Underground Printing because I wanted something that was high quality and beautiful printing on luxury apparel that I could afford. Underground Printing absolutely delivered. They are phenomenal and their customer service is top notch. I worked with Evan Mitchell who went out of his way to make sure I had designs that worked for me. I am pretty picky, so it is important to me that the garments look nice and that people can read my logo. He did a great job. At one point, I even made a mistake on a garment, but he fixed it without complaint immediately. There are very few companies who provide that kind of service nowadays. Affordability is key for me because I am a one-person small business, so I don't want to buy (and can't afford to buy) ten of each item that I want. I wanted a good mix of items without having to meet minimum orders. Good luck finding that elsewhere with nice clothing options. The other thing I like about this company is that their garments are beautiful and they have a great variety. So many other companies have apparel that looks and feels cheap (like a boring t-shirt). This company has warm and cold weather options and a lot of choices for each category. I would highly recommend Underground Printing and I will definitely be using them again. read more

I sent them one black and white image to print on the back of a dark sweatshirt, centered and even. Unfortunately the placement was completely crooked by almost a whole inch. At almost $50 a sweatshirt, I was extremely disappointed. I contacted their customer service and they were quick to respond. They took no responsibility for the uneven printing (even though I went as far as to send measurements from each corner of the image to show exactly how lopsided the placement was). They offered me a discount for the pokt quality (I wish I was joking), or a refund. I opted for the refund since I would never wear or gift the item I received. If you want it done "cheap" opt for Underground, otherwise I would suggest an alternate company. The shipping was faster than anticipated so that was great. But I would've gladly sacrificed a longer ship time had it meant my order would've been right the first time. read more

"Great Lakes, Great Times". What does this statement mean you ask? Well, clearly you aren't from Michigan if you're asking that question. Underground printing recently expanded their store from a little shack next to espresso on South U to a real sized store. It lost some of its appeal as a local, college shop, but also sells some pretty cool stuff. I bought two t-shirts the last time I was there for 15-20 a piece, but let me tell you, they are worth it. One is "Michigan: America's high five" which is always a classic. The other one says, "great lakes, great times!" with a picture of the hand in the background. Let me tell you why this is so important - word on the street is some of michigan's welcome signs' slogans are changing to "pure michigan"...excuse me, what? The great lakes ALWAYS provide great times, and i don't know who made the decision to change to this "pure michigan" bs, but uh....i think we should all support underground printing in their endeavor to save the sacred slogan of michiganders everywhere. just saying. overall - clothes are a little pricey, but most are super cute and are the american apparel tri-blend shirts...aka if you wear it enough they can become like that see-through, soft as hell shirt that you now claim as your lucky shirt and also use its softness to justify wearing it three days in a row. just saying - go to underground printing. show your michigan pride and explain to the world why the great lakes provide great times. read more

I did a fundraiser for my daughters school team and was extremely disappointed in how I was misled in as to how the kids would earn, we didn't sell the shirt par (yet the order was still 605 dollars) and the return ended up being about 60 cents an item. When asked if we could extend the time, I was told it would start over again count wise and would be less (another misunderstanding because we planned to do 2 deadline dates which was also discussed). Needless to say I also thought this was a local printing company, it isn't, it's a big corporation so I regret this whole transaction. I have reached hoping they would make it right but have not heard back yet. A local company would not have done that. I have done orders like this before with other companies and sold about the same amount of merchandise and kids earned 4-5 dollars an item. The ordering process online desperately needs updating. Site would NOT load consistently. Sometimes the order page after the price quote page would load with the design, sometimes it wouldn't. Then after being quoted a price it changed once I got to the checkout because the in-hand order date defaulted to a different date, and when I tried to adjust it...it would sky rocket the price back up. Liked the options of brands and the ease of creating a shirt with just text...but some updates are needed on the IT side of the website. read more
