I went in the have my balayage redone and lost half of my hair. It wasn't the right tone the first time so I was told to come back to have it fixed. She re bleached areas of my hair that were previously bleached causing them to turn white as opposed to the ash blonde I asked for. The entire crown of my head has burned off so badly I'm now going to have to cut my hair to even try to get it to look decent. If I could give them zero stars I would. DISGUSTING SERVICE AND DISGUSTING PEOPLE!!! I will never come back here again or recommend anyone!! Horrible experience. I came in asking for an appointment which they said I can sit right down because they had an availability. Amazing. I completely botched coloring my hair and I needed it fixed ASAP. So I sit down and from the second I sat down until the second I left, the owner kept taking jabs at me saying "you see sweetheart you should leave hair coloring to professionals" and "I hope you learned your lesson about coloring. Don't do it yourself if you don't have the training". I understand I'm a client and not the professional but you don't shame the client for a mess up. I've been coloring my hair for 5 years and this is the 1st time I've ever messed up. Yet for the 5 hours it took for everything to be done, I couldn't go 10 minutes without her taking a stab at me. Don't get me started on the hair wash. They told me they were putting a liquid that was supposed to "clean" my scalp. I tried to get more info on what it was exactly but they wouldn't go into detail. I swear on everything I thought my hair was going to fall out. My scalp was burning and I could've sworn it was acid and my skin and hair was burning for the 10 minutes she left it on me. I was on the verge of tears from the pain and when I told her to wash it out because I really couldn't handle it, all she said to me was that I was being dramatic. I've never had a salon do that to me. The liquid or that response. After everything she told me I had to come back in a month to do a toner and deep conditioning treatment because my hair was so dead. Since when did you have to wait a month??? The usual salon I go to does it the same day and it's included in the price. Obviously I didn't go because I would never go back there. Not to mention the color wasn't even the color I asked for AND not even close to the color she said she was giving me. I asked for a burgundy/plum color and she described to me it would be a dark red not so much of a purple hue to it but instead I got a copper red. 3 completely different colors. So in the end I was out 500$ , damaged hair, brassy color which I didn't ask for, annoyed by the attitude, a burning scalp, and a messed up haircut. When I was paying, she AGAIN had to take a jab at me and said "next time come sooner so i can leave on time" as if it was my fault they told me to sit down AFTER SHE told me it could take 4-5 hours. I have never met such a disgusting presentation of character as a businesswoman, a representation of the cosmetology industry, and as a person overall. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. read more

Well on Nov 18 I went to Del Carpio Salon and Maritza, the owner dyed my hair type blondish color, cut my hair and wow!!! Fell in love! Last Saturday, 12/16, I had a sweet sixteen and had to go back to the salon to get a wash and have Maritza style my hair!! Love it!! Received so many compliments! I'm going back tomorrow because I have a wedding!! Busy month! Grateful for Maritza! I'm glad I made my appointments!!! read more

I started going to the Salon before Maritza opened her own salon. Maritza and the whole staff worked at a prestigious salon prior to this salon. Their work is just as fabulous and impeccable as it was prior. The attention to detail is amazing. Maritza takes her time to get it right and the result is very good. I primarily go there for highlighting and color and I love the excellent work they do. Also, my hair doesn't look damaged. Place is a rip off just called because I just needed my roots touched up n they are asking $60

I did my research and came across Maritza as a professional hair colorist of 35 years. I came to the salon and she evaluated my hair just by looking at it. (Btw everyone at the salon are pleasant, friendly and smile. The salon is gorgeous as well). She had me sit in the chair, she combed thru my hair and could tell which colors I've put in my hair from the past and what part of my hair can take more damage and what part can't. I dyed my hair and messed it up, she fixed it within 30-45 min by getting rid of my "hot roots" and matching the existing color to the color she mixed in the salon. I would've gotten blonde and brown. But she advised me not to because she can tell the strength of my hair and my hair would not have been able to take the dye and bleach without it falling out. Wonderful experience! She knows what she's doing. I trust her and I'm going to listen to her in the future. (Oh and the wash chairs lift your legs so you can lean back easier as if you were laying down) read more

I have known Maritza for 6 years now and no one has touched my hair since!! Best haircuts, blowouts, and treatments. I have gotten keratin done a few times, and I always love it. I always receive compliments on my hair because the change is transformational when I walk out of the salon. I have nothing short of the best experience every time there.
