Great yoga studio with a wide variety of in person classes. I've been practicing yoga for 6 years now and while I have unfortunately moved out of the area as of recently, I will always take a class here when I am back in town. Wow my previous review was from so so long ago! I'm a regular at Thrive for yoga. I've been practicing here off and on for 4 years. Two pregnancies and two subsequent kids means I don't get as much yoga in as I would like. The instructors are fantastic. Kind, patient, and very real and human. The classes are a good selection, but definitely not as diverse and creative as they used to be. The times that classes are offered is unfortunately limited. Usually one at 9ish and one at 5:30 during the week and on Sundays. I really miss having options on Saturdays! They have rolled with the challenges of the pandemic. In-person and online offerings, masks required, limited sizes of classes, and marked spaces. read more

I really enjoy attending Thrive classes. I have tried all of the yoga related classes and the BodyWise movement class. All are phenomenal and offer different experiences. I would have to say Mary's Vinyasa classes really stand out, and she is such a kind instructor. Rachel, the owner and instructor for Foundations and the BodyWise classes is such a fantastic person. She makes the space feel welcoming for everyone, and truly cares about everyone that walks through her doors. I do the monthly membership and it is worth it. I had been looking for several years for a yoga studio near me that offered a welcoming, healthy environment and that didn't charge a hefty monthly fee. In particular, I was searching for Iyengar yoga classes which were nearly impossible to find outside of Portland. While the studio owner, Rachel, is not a certified Iyengar instructor and doesn't identify as such, she has clearly studied and practiced Iyengar yoga and incorporates the foundations of the practice into the classes that she offers. Rachel is a fabulous person and teacher and I am so thankful to have found this studio. I have taken classes with several other instructors, and all are welcoming, proficient teachers. Old and broken and need some flexibility in my life, found this place and called and called, left message after message, nobody got back to me. I finally go down there to speak to someone in person, place is open, nobody in the office, nobody at the front lobby, I end up after calling out hello a bunch of times sit and wait for 5 min or so, then decide to walk around and look for someone. Finally someone comes out from wherever they were and offered 0 help, just gave me the number that id already called to try and talk to someone else. I saw all these how kind and wonderful and "inclusive" this place is, but got the feeling they didnt want to help me because of how I look! Sad, because this is the only place close enough id be comfortable driving to regularly. All I wanted was to ask what kind of yoga see a schedule of classes and discuss pricing packages, nope, they didnt have the time or interest in helping me even though I was the ONLY other person in the building. read more

This was not only my first time at Thrive, but it was also my first real yoga class in general. I took the restorative class and it was truly amazing. I felt guided the entire time, and the instructor made me feel important amongst an entire room of people. There was no "snobby" yoga vibe that I was worried about-everyone was welcoming and encouraging. When you go in they will have you set up an online profile at the front desk, which is handy so you can access your account later and all the receipts will be sent to your email. I love Thrive Yoga and Wellness! New to yoga about three years ago, I happened to choose to visit a studio with a name I liked. Tried the studio for a month and now attend three times a week. I just feel stronger, more balanced and flexible, with a sense of contentment as I leave each class. Marci, the owner, and her teachers have created a welcoming, inclusive community. The calendar of classes is bountiful throughout the day and week with a class to support and/or challenge everyone. I did my 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training at Thrive in the Spring of 2016 and I absolutely loved it. Marci is a joy to work with. She is constantly smiling and happy to see you. It makes for happy yogi students. I attended the training with my mom just to further our practice of yoga and everyone was so welcoming, they treated us like family. I've lived in Oregon City for 14 years, and Thrive Yoga and Wellness has been the greatest gift ever offered to our community. The owner, Marci Jory is an extremely caring, knowledgeable as well as a down-to-earth and FUN teacher. She's also added many other wonderful yoga instructors for a variety of styles, and included yoga programs to bring yoga to a variety of people including Wounded Warriors and Refuge Recovery. Marci has generously donated many services and funds to the community while creating a complete wellness center. I'm a massage therapist and even though I've had a strong in-home business for 7 years, had decided at the beginning of this year to also rent space at Thrive because I wanted to be a closer part of this yoga community I've loved and respected so much. I'm so grateful to have been part of it this last year, and also continuously grateful to have a warm, inviting and beautiful space in which to practice yoga. read more

Thrive has everything I look for in a yoga studio. Welcoming environment? Check! Friendly, knowledgeable instructors? Check! Class and workshop variety? Check! I've had the opportunity to attend around ten classes thus far (hatha, flow, and restorative) since discovering the studio last month and they've all been great. The adjustments and modification options from the teachers are much appreciated. The classes have never been too crowded and the studio is clean, quiet, and fully stocked with props (and little details like hair ties! and tea!). Love love love Thrive! It's about time Oregon City got a yoga/wellness studio. It has a convenient location & good parking. The studio itself has a beautiful, relaxing vibe. They offer a lot of different classes and times. I have weak wrists and I love that they take the time to show modifications and suggestions on how to relieve some of the pressure in certain positions. I love Thrive Yoga. There is such a variety of classes and times to choose from. I especially love the 6 am Rise & Flow class on Tuesday's & Thursday's . It's is such a lovely way to start the day! I have been fortunate enough to have been a member of the Thrive Yoga & Wellness Center since before they were Thrive! I absolutely LOVE this place. The owner Marci has done an incredible job of taking a small yoga studio and turning it into a community center full of health and wellness. I have met many new friends and have learned so much about yoga, meditation, nutrition, breathing and more. I so admire Marci for all she has done and always look forward to walking into the Thrive studio. One final thing, I am retired and was somewhat intimidated by what I thought a yoga studio would be.
