However, changing the price after an agreement was disappointing. I came here based on good reviews and recommendations. Keeping your word matters if you want returning customers.

After reading glowing reviews, I called Hyperion to ask if hey could schedule the installation, expecting to wait a few days. Instead the guy on the phone said to bring it in at 10:30 the next day. I didn't get there as a tweak in the door itself caused my overhead lights to stay on and drain my battery. I arranged for a friend to take me home, expecting to leave the car for at lrast the afternoon. But manager (I did not get hois name) said it would just be a half hour. He called over a ytechnician and 20 minutes later the car was ready! I had some body damage and the manager quoted me a price apologetically, noting that Lexus Parts are super expensive. I said well, it's a 15 year old car - probably isn't even worth the cost of the repairs. I started to walk away and stopped, turned and said, "Wait, I haven't paid you!" And he said, "no charge". I was dumbfounded and only hope I thanked him emough. Great work, fast, and even complimentary. I'm in awe. Go there!

Most recently, I was dealing with a check-engine light while trying to get my Jeep ready for its required STAR smog test. Mike and Fred didn't simply replace parts based on a diagnostic code. They took the time to determine what was actually wrong before I spent the money. They diagnosed a failed EGR valve and also discovered a cracked spark plug that was affecting how the Jeep was running. They showed me what they found and explained everything clearly so I understood why the repairs were necessary. What I appreciate most is that Mike and Fred are thorough, knowledgeable and meticulous. Their prices have been fair, and I never feel as though they are trying to sell me repairs I don't need. Instead, I feel like they genuinely care about keeping my Jeep safe and running well. The next day, they called me saying they fixed the radiator, but there was an internal leaking issue that the mechanic couldn't figure out and that I should immediately go trade in the car before the engine fails. He gave me zero plausible or any technical explanation for what the origin of the issue was and added another 100 dollars to my service fee. I decided to take my car to a mechanic who is more accustomed to dealing with Subarus with the incredibly vague explanation I received from the mechanic rather than go sell or trade in the car because one person told me he can't fix it. The next day, I received an actual explanation of what the issue was, which was a cross contamination issue with the coolant and engine oil that can happen with the specific engine that Subarus are equipped with and he was able to give me an actual quote to fix the issue rather than telling me to trade in or sell the car. Furthermore, he said that changing the radiator should have only cost me a couple hundred dollars max and that the issue with the engine could have been prevented if I went to an experienced mechanic in the first place! I was overcharged by more than double the actual price of parts and service and literally told to go trade in the car after paying $880 dollars, which I had to haggle down from $900 after the price increased overnight. Please don't come here for any repairs as they are not qualified to provide proper service, yet will overcharge you without any agreement. He said $140. I bought the brakes for $60 and showed up today to have them install installed. Once they were done and I went to pay, I wanted to pay $150 to include a tip. I was told that I could pay with Zelle, but Zelle charged a fee of $5. I already know that Zelle is free so I told him that. He lied to my face and said that he's charged a fee. So I tried to pay $150 & he told me no they wouldn't receive the tip. SMH was very stupid. So I paid $145 & left. Saved myself $5 on the tip. What I know happened is that they were trying to Charge me an extra five dollars for a tip because they didn't think I was gonna give one. The customer service there is not the best. I feel like they were very racist and were not very polite to me. They were cordial and pleasant with all of their other customers, but dry, dismissive and uncommunicative with me. I think it would be behoove them in the future to treat every customer with respect. And not lie about payment methods because I am an informed customer who pays with multiple apps. I know which one's charge and which ones don't. So they cut their own selves out of a tip today. I hate liars & racism, all for an extra $5. Anyone can Google it right now and see that Zelle is free.. I just didn't wanna argue with him.
