I live in a studio one bedroom apartment in DC. Upon moving here a few months back, I always assumed that I could get it cleaned relatively easy for an affordable price as I had in the past. However, I did not realize how difficult finding a reputable cleaning company at an affordable price was here in DC that could clean on your schedule. Most cleaning companies in DC are either booked solid or they want you to enroll in a recurring plan to get the affordable prices. I literally struck out twice when scheduling a cleaning company to come clean my apartment prior to finding CharmClean. Below is my review of of the company. BOOKING- The booking process was extremely straight forward as I was able to make a reservation on the company website. They had plenty of availability which fit my schedule. In addition, they emailed me constant reminders about my appointment. 5/5 PRICE- To clean my studio one bedroom apartment, the price was $119 for a one-time clean. However, I was able to use a discount code from Yelp that allowed me to save $15 which made it about $100. Although in other places I have lived that would be considered pretty expensive, it was actually the cheapest place (after using the discount code) here in DC. 5/5 SERVICE- To be clear, my apartment was pretty disgusting which is why I made the appointment. The company sent one maid and I was unsure if she would be able to clean everything within the allotted time. However, Milanos arrived right on time and did an excellent job in executing each task within the timeframe. My apartment looked like it did when I moved in when all was said and done. In addition, she brought her own supplies (which isn't a given with some companies). 5/5 In the end, CharmClean is as good as it gets here in DC and I would recommend them to anyone who was looking for a company to clean their apartment/house. Sparkling Clean House! I just used the service about a month ago. Been out of town, but I finally got a chance to recommend it to people in the Baltimore area. Very happy with the time and the detail they took in cleaning my house. I was also happy that I was able to request certain cleaning supplies used on my glass enclosure, which they accommodated. UPDATED: Despite arriving outside of the two hour window with no warning, both women who showed up were very nice. While the one woman who actually stayed and cleaned was very polite, and you could clearly see she was working hard, the cleaning was subpar and the language barrier made it hard to address the issues. I found far too many areas throughout my home that still have dust collected in corners, food on the backsplash and the faucets had hard water build up still on them. Unfortunately the cleaning took place the day before I moved so time was not on my side and there was no way to address it before the chaos took over. It's just unfortunate as I was looking for a new cleaning service and had high hopes. Shortly after submitting my review the company contacted me in an effort to make things right and offered a free cleaning, so I accepted. 4 1/2 Stars. I have them come out on a monthly basis. They do a terrific job, there's a lot of attention to detail and I'm always surprised by how shiny everything is when they've gone (the smallest knickknacks dusted, picture frames wiped down), but they also always seem to miss something on each visit. Most recently, that forgotten task appears to be the bathroom floor, previously it was the shower tile. Not a big deal, but not perfection either. Also, they seem to have changed their cleaning products, as 30 hours post cleaning and my apartment still smells strongly of bleach, where on previous visits there was more of a fresh parfum-ish scent wafting about. I do not recommend using Charmclean. Do not use Charmclean for anything but basic cleaning. I paid for a deep clean, move-in clean, and a window clean, but did not receive those full services. I described my house as having vaulted ceilings and skylights, but neither were cleaned. Dust, bugs, and stains were left on surfaces. They gave me a $50 refund, which I am not satisfied with because the total of the incompleted services was $160. read more

Their turnaround time for confirming requests is incredibly fast! I had a few questions on the morning of my appointment so I called their customer service line and the representative was very nice and helpful! I recently booked CharmClean and I am so happy I did. Booking was extremely easy online and I got a reservation immediately. I wanted a general cleaning of the house and their price was reasonable. Only con was that the cleaners came an hour late of the reservation window but their exceptional cleaning made up for it! I've had CharmClean taking care of my house for a couple of months now. I'm really picky and most housekeepers don't last this long with me. They do a wonderful job!! The house smells good, there is attention to detail and they are really nice to interact with whenever I need to. I've heard that they are pricey and maybe for this area they are. They were almost 25 min. late. The only thing that prevented the 5 stars was that 2 windows was left uncleaned when I paid for all of the windows being cleaned inside the screen. They did a great job but always remember customer satisfaction first, meaning return and finish or add some kind of credit toward your next cleaning. Never just not respond to a portion of a job left undone. Makes you question the integrity of a business. Care and finish at all cost. Sorry but I'm old school. read more

Very disappointing first experience with CharmClean. My husband and I booked a cleaning for 11am - and expected the cleaners to arrive at 11 (was not clear that in fact the cleaning team would arrive within the hour). We waited in our lobby for 40 minutes and no one from their team showed up. We called the phone number on their website twice, no response, no option to leave a voicemail. At that point we gave up and ran a few errands. We came home around 12:30 only to discover the cleaning team had showed up at 12:16. In a follow-up email they claimed to have arrived at 11:50. On top of arriving late, I had been charged in advance of the cleaning, it took nearly a week and two follow-up emails to ensure I was refunded - and not only until the final email exchange was an apology issued. Overall - a very bad experience with CharmClean, I recommend considering another cleaning service before working with this team. read more

I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and hard work that was in evidence when CharmClean sent two women to clean my father's flat. They had their work cut out for them as it was excessively dirty. They worked for several hours and went out of their way to make sure that it sparkled and gleamed by the time they were done. Great team. They arrived a little early which was appreciated with a team of 3 for our home. Vacuumed, mopped, cleaned the fans, all the bathrooms to my liking.
