Cleaning crew showed up 1.5 hours late and neither they, nor the home office called or answered the phone. We had scheduled a move-out cleaning and after an hour of calling and texting we started scrambling to find someone else. The crew eventually showed up, but by that time our timeline was wrecked. I realize things happen - traffic, etc., but not being informed and not responding to texts and calls is unacceptable and an indicator of an unprofessional organization. Even now, two days after the move, Misty has made zero effort to communicate or even apologize for the mishap. They were, however, very timely when it came to charging my credit card. We have used Misty Clean services for our office for about 3 years. They are responsive, communicate well and do a good job for our small business. They service our office every 2 weeks during most of the year and generally monthly during our slow season. They adapt well to our change in services, and will provide additional services when asked. I hired Misty after poor service from another local home cleaning provider. I made a few things clear, including the need to assign the same team each visit, to make sure our needs were met. I am not always here, and don't want to have strangers cleaning my house. I had three different teams for the first three visits -- I made sure I was here in person. After the first two, I communicated my unhappiness with the teams' quality of the work (no dusting under beds, poor vacuuming), but the third team performed well. I let Becky know I was happy, and that I needed that team every week. This morning, after again rearranging my schedule to make sure the same person arrived, I heard from Becky that the team was not available today. I've canceled my service; the business is not staffed with the quality and number of people to assure quality, reliable service. I want to work with local businesses; it's hard when they can't provide a ki minimal level of service and timeliness. Any suggestions? read more

I guess I should have checked here first. Big lesson learned. Misty Clean owner, Misty, sent out her crew for what was quoted to be a top to bottom cleaning for a move out. It was not done properly, no masks were worn and they had no stools to reach top to bottom. I took photos and complained. The manager tried to make it right by redoing the service. They sent a second girl. She flat out agreed the blinds were not done and the bathroom was not done by the first crew. However after the second visit it was still not complete and my husband and I cleaned the attached photographs in the kitchen alone. I was also told there was stuff behind my sink because she couldn't reach. I was told the fixtures could not be cleaned in the kitchen, which I cleaned after they left. None of the cabinets or fans, blinds, main bath, etc were cleaned. I sent photos of my husband's work yet again and they sent a 3rd girl with a supervisor. My husband asked for a refund and we were told Becka would talk to supervisor. Haven't heard from them since. I want my money back. Go elsewhere. We are military and have had at least 8 moves, none like this. As a landlord myself, I would not accept this. Further, they took no consideration for our schedule and told us when to show up or texted us to come let them in at their convenience. Was hoping to find a crew for my new home...this isn't it. I was a customer of Misty clean's in Baltimore city and would love to share my experience. I was as customer for YEARS until I came home one day and all of my good jewelry was gone. Clearly picked through, someone took their time going through it and took only what was nice - so someone who spent some time inside of my house. I alerted the owner (and the police) immediately but unfortunately, I live in Baltimore City and the process with the police was not at all helpful. Initially Misty did tell me that she had an employee who had been in my house the week before randomly quit and that she also suspected that person. After the police took their time (multiple reports later, actually) Misty's story changed and she was not at all accommodating in any way to keep me as a customer or help pay for the missing items. Basically, unless I had it on video she wasn't going to do anything. Save your self and your family heirlooms, and find another cleaning company. read more

I should have checked the reviews on here prior to hiring this company. What a waste. They came to my rental house to clean and charged $300. They did absolutely nothing. The house was still so absolutely horrible. I called them and they said they would send someone else out to complete the job. They did but then the new person didn't do anything either. This is my email to the owner: As i explained when going over what needed to be done at the house i also advised that i had the same type of business myself when I lived in Richmond. The 2 girls have been in my home since 9:30 this morning and the house looks barely touched. I have multiple services that are done on a daily basis with regards to the puppy and each time someone came in they advised that the person upstairs cleaning was on her phone the entire time. I went into my bathroom during my lunch hour to see that the exterior of the tub was not even cleaned. At minimum the girl upstairs has no concept of what she is even doing. Instead of going around each room from right to left top to bottom she is jumping from room to room and not finishing any of them. When i got there the house actually looked worse than before they started. ( I dont even know how that is possible.) I also left the cleaning supplies to be used out on the counter this morning since they are all disinfecting cleaners and when i came in your girls were cleaning everything with what smelled like the cheap dollar store Fabuloso. I want the charge reversed off the credit card immediately and do not want your company returning. I have never seen a house cleaning handled so unprofessionally. What was done was not even equivalent to a standard clean let alone a top to bottom clean. This was a completely untrained staff that was in my home today and for your companies sake i hope these were people you just hired and are trying out. I should see the charged reversed in the next 3 days. Additionally when they left my front gate was left wide open. I am getting texts as we speak with pictures of everything that was not done. This is the worst job i have ever in my life seen a cleaning company do. The owner of this company is outrageously rude and unprofessional; STAY AWAY! The first time a team came out, we were home, and they did a good job (only because I reminded them about things that weren't done). The second time, I was out of town, and my husband was not home. The cleaning was done VERY poorly and incompletely (per the list on the company's OWN website, not my own ideas of what should have been done). They came back to supposedly fix the problems, but there were still things that were not done or done very poorly. When I asked them to come back again, the owner argued with me and said that they would only come back if it were within 24 hours (we had to know when they were coming so we could leave the key out, so that wasn't possible). When I explained the situation and that I was out of town, the owner said they would return. Nothing had been fixed (again). I then wrote to the owner and asked for a refund, to which she responded with a nasty e-mail stating that we would absolutely not be getting a refund and that they would never return to our house (as if we would want them to!). I am going to file a complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General's Office (which also doesn't phase her). We are out $120 and still have a dirty house. Totally unacceptable. Don't waste your money using them. There are so many other local companies to choose from who I imagine HAVE to do a better job at cleaning. Ended up getting all my money back after speaking with the owner and providing photos of the job that was clearly not done. I am not usually one to take the time to conduct reviews unless the service has been exceptional or absolutely terrible. In this case, I am more than disappointed with the company and the customer service from the owner. This is long, but I feel it's the only way to get the information across. I hired the company many months ago once I had a second child and went back to my full time job. I utilized google and came across Misty Clean. I thought the ratings seemed decent, so I hired the company. I had never hired a cleaning service before, so this was very new to me and I wasn't sure what to expect. The first few times, things were absolutely not cleaned as the website lists. The company was accommodating and would return to fix the problems. Here are just a few examples of the issues we had: the basement was completed neglected (they didn't even vacuum it) , rooms not being dusted, the floor being mopped with undiluted cleaner, leaving it extremely sticky, kitchen cabinets not dusted, etc. Items of value have been thrown in the trash (a full, Costco sized, pack of razors, for example) and I've had to go dig through the trash bags they threw out to retrieve the items. Even though my husband stated his unhappiness with the company, I kept saying that we should give them another chance since the price was reasonable (you pay for what you get, I've learned), and they would come back and fix the issues I would complain about. Last month was our last cleaning we had from them. I came home (I was the first one home), made dinner, and we all sat down to eat once my husband and kids arrived home. I found a large chip missing from my wooden, kitchen table, right next to the spot I sit for dinner every evening. I had cleaned the table off the night before after we finished dinner and that chip was absolutely not there. I immediately took a picture and sent it to the owner. I stated that it was not previously there and asked what they do in situations like this. She stated that it was already there and they "meant to call me". She also said she will be telling her cleaners of proper procedure for the future, such as writing the damage noticed on the cleaning sheet and calling the owner of the home. That is all fine and dandy...except that chip was not previously there. It's in a location where there isn't high traffic and it could have only come from the cleaners. I received no apology for the lack of communication, no offer to try and resolve the issue. INSTEAD, the owner suggested we part ways since there could be no resolution found. Excuse me? The resolution to my unhappiness is to release me as a customer? Not only did she suggest this, but was rude in her responses. Certainly no way to speak to your customers. I have saved every single correspondence with this company for my own records, and I have been nothing but polite and understanding, even with the job we paid for was not rendered. I have also never accused any of her cleaners of stealing or damaging my property. I have since moved on to a company that has an "A" rating on Angie's list. I wish I would have searched for a cleaning company on a reputable site in the first place. I would have then seen the reviews where the owner "fired" another customer over her saying one of the cleaners stole jewelry. It seems her resolution to any issue is to fire the customer. Save yourself trouble and disappointment and find another company to clean your home. read more

I have been using Misty Clean for over 8 years! They are always dependable, they always to work with me if I need to switch days. I am very particular and they saw areas that needed cleaning that I didn't even realize (embarassing to say). I have 2 dogs that they will obligingly let out and back in before they leave and gladly give them a treat too. It's great especially when I am hurrying to get home from work. I would highly recommend them and have done so many times to neighbors and friends. read more
