I booked a 90-minute couples massage and was looking forward to a relaxing experience. Instead, when we arrived, we were told they could only provide a 60-minute massage because we were two women and their male massage therapist does not work on female clients. I fully respect an individual therapist's right to set their own boundaries. What I don't appreciate is having my appointment effectively downgraded upon arrival because the business apparently assumed that "couples massage" meant a man and a woman. In Hillcrest of all places, that assumption feels particularly out of touch. Unfortunately, the problems didn't stop there. During my 60-minute massage, my therapist left the room four separate times within the first 30 minutes. Whether that's a management issue or a staffing issue, it's certainly a customer experience issue. It's hard to relax when your massage therapist is repeatedly walking out of the room. To make matters worse, the therapists talked to each other throughout much of the massage, turning what should have been a quiet, restorative experience into background chatter. At several points, the treatment room door was left open while staff checked with the front desk, which felt unprofessional and compromised what little sense of privacy remained. I had to ask for it to remain closed. By the end of the appointment, I felt less relaxed than when I arrived. Between the incorrect assumptions, shortened service, constant interruptions, staff conversations, and lack of professionalism, this was one of the least relaxing massage experiences I've had. I left feeling like the business was more focused on managing its operational issues than providing the service I paid for. read more

Wow I had an amazing deep tissue massage for 90 minutes and it was intense but so good! Such a good deal and I walked in and was able to get a massage on the spot. I have never had the back walking type massage before- highly recommend. I've had so many massages over the years and this one really stood out. I'll be back! read more

I paid for a 1 hour massage and after 15 minutes of the massage they asked me to turn over on my back and then asked if I said yes. After I said just massage they said they were closing the shop and gave me 20 dollars back and sent me back even though I paid 70 dollars. read more

I prefer heavy pressure for my massages, I usually get deep tissue or pressure point massages, and my masseuse did not disappoint! She did some traditional massage techniques along with stretching and back walking, all was fantastic. Writing this review makes me want to call and book another! Best massage ever! I've been getting massages for over 10 years (probably about 200 in total) and the massage I got last week at Unicorn Spa was probably the best of my life. In fact, I plan to go back this weekend. It is well worth the money! They know exactly how to find and relieve the tension. I'm pretty critical of my massage therapists (they miss muscle groups, can't apply deep enough pressure, etc.), but I don't even have one here. Absolutely recommend!! read more

It's hard to find a male masage therapist that works night . I'm hairstylist and my job is very stressful and has crazy hours . Christofer was amazing he give a great massage for people like me that need to relax after work. He really takes the time to give a full body massage and doesn't stare at the clock the hole time. Short and not so sweet experience... Came in yesterday to make an appointment for today, and the woman working had no idea what I was saying. I referred to the sign that was posted outside. She said she was new and didn't know they had a massage that was so cheap. The sign states: $30 Full Body Asian Massage for 60 minutes. That's when I should've left.... Another woman came to explain the "Asian Massage" would be leaving clothes on, therefore no oil. I said "no problem, do you want to take my name and number?" She said "no, I have good memory, and you might have to wait if there is a walk-in." I was clearly confused.. because why would I make an appt to wait?? Anyways.... I showed up today, and there was a different woman who also had no idea what I was talking about... Where am I?? Nobody is knowledge about the sign they have right outside their door? All ladies were rude, no smile, and horrible customer service. Did I end up getting a massage at this questionable place?? Nope. They attempted to charge $4.00 fee for using my card. That's absurd, and I rather pay full price where I feel excited to get a massage... not annoyed AF. read more

I came in for a 90 min massage it was great! I had a male massage therapist. The pressure was perfect , firm but still relaxing. The music was nice and the table was very comfortable the place was clean and the prices are very reasonable there are male and female massage therapists. Beware!!!! Went in to try this place....saw the sign outside grand opening 60min Asian Massage for $30. When I asked for this massage they said it was $60 not $30. Will not be back. read more
