I go to this particular place quite often. Lately when going the food presentation has changed quite significantly. I use be so happy because the food is seasoned very well and the presentation was nice. As of lately when going to that place the pork is quite burnt all the way around and it looks like it was put on a broil setting. When I ask the young lady was this something going on, her reply to me was that that's the way they like it . I in return left and the called to speak to the manager and that's when things went down hill . I ask the young lady was the manager who's name is Alex , was there , she stated no, I then ask if I could leave my number, and I said can you write it down and have him call me. She said ok let me fine pen. She had me on hold for over 30 minutes. I hung up and tried to call back she in return the phone off the hook. For quite some time. At that point, I decided to look up other.Unidos, I came across a wonderful manager with great personality and good customer service that was willing to help me once I told him the rudeness and the disrespect I received at the store on Providence in Deltona. He in return said he would make sure that Alex would give me a call back. I guess as soon as people at the Providence store, got wind of someone complaining young lady that was rude to me earlier because it was two women. She called me back and asked me how can she help me at that point I was already upset and said I'll just wait for Alex. Alex never called back so clearly he doesn't care either and that is why I feel the need to let everyone know that if you go there, you're not gonna be treated nice especially if you're not of there race. I also know that no one cares to call you back to hear your point of view. In the beginning, when I first asked to speak to a manager and I asked, who was the lady I was speaking to prior she says hi no give name you must call back and hung up the phone on me, very disrespectful not gonna spend my money where my kind is not wanted. Just maybe they can go to a well established 5 star place like Oh Que Bueno, and learn how to treat their customers. I recently moved here from North Carolina and have been by the market for as long as my parents have been here. I decided to check it out the deli has some wonderful food and the aroma hits you long before the front door. The selection of groceries is awesome, my stomach was growling looking at the possibilities I could make. prices were good but the raw meats are BADDDD... I purchased ground beef Sunday and got home to cook it and boy was it bad. The smell was horrible. It looked fresh from the pack but guys this was baddd. I had been warned not to buy meats here because they tu their refrigerators off at night and yet I still gave them a try. They are a small grocery chain. They have many interesting Latin Caribbean products. In the back of the store, there is a cafeteria/ deli. The cafeteria area is always busy, and there seems to be no formal line. However, the food is cheap and they serve a large portion. I had some chicken stew and rice & beans. The food was very flavorful. The staff that's cashing you out is not the most helpful. Overall, 3.5 Stars. read more

Compare's a small Latino/Carribean grocery in Deltona's Latino plaza, a two story complex of interesting Spanish shops. Parking's tight and aggressive. I come for the deli though their produce has flea market prices. They're cheap and good but know it's a free for all up in there with no ticket system or organized way of ordering which can be chaotic. Non Spanish speakers should brush up on their Spanish. Just Sayin'. A huge portion of Habichuelas, mangu, chicken stew, and two interesting especial sodas costs less than eight bucks and feeds two! They run out of a lot fast. Expect to get fed on the cheap. Don't expect any customer service. Especially if you're gringo. read more

So the first time I came here the checkout guys was older and very cool. I also like the variety of grains & spices and also the tea:) they have here. But. Unfortunately I have decided not to shop here again because I have been back several times since and the two younger ladies that have been the grocery checkout clerks while I was in line were so standoffish bordering on rude that have decided I never want to go back. Yes, who I interact with and where I go to get groceries is totally determined on how nice people treat me. Never underestimate that... The last girl stared me down not smiling and the girl before her stepped from behind the counter and cut me off without a by your leave. Wonderful Store, Fantastic food service counter in back. My PR Best Friend and I love their food. Love the Potato Balls and the yucca with onions. If you want great food, get there early though they run out by 2pm or so, and there is always a line. Friendly staff, clean store. read more

Such a great spot to get pastry's groceries and dinner. If you go an hour before they close you can get great deals on their dinners 2 platters for 8.99 that was more than enough to feed our family and have left overs for the next day. I agree with the other positive reviews. I often come in here on the weekends to pick up lunch for the family. For $4.50 you can get chicken with yellow rice and they absolutely stuff the container with the food. It feeds 2 adults and 1 baby 2 whole meals which you can't beat. (Two fast food meals would be $20 and the chicken and rice is much healthier for you). The potato balls are also to die for. They have everything else as well-the employees speak enough English that we can communicate with little problem. Occasionally I try my Spanish out on them :). It's a pleasure and a rarity not to shop at a big chain place which have become way too prevalent these days. read more
