I normally dread trying on clothes but this was different, the attention and help I received made the buying experience.. effortless and fun:) Wish I could give more than 5 stars! This shop has a good selection of uniform scrubs but be aware that their prices are higher than other places. Unless you just want to spend more money, you'd be better off buying for 50% less from other uniform shops like the one at Katy Mills mall or Scrubs & Beyond. Besides the higher price, know that this store does not accept returns. You can only exchange. Because of this, I will not be coming back. read more

The owner of this store is rude. Her husband stated when I purchased my scrubs at the store that they let you exchange them if they didn't work out as long as you don't wear them he seemed pretty helpful and nice. So I tried on the scrubs at home after making the purchase and they were constantly falling off so I called and the owner allowed me to bring them in. Well I brought my bag of the items that I needed to be exchanged in with me to the fitting room and also brought my backpack which I carry my wallet in with to try on another couple pairs of scrubs. There was literally no one else in the store besides me and the owner. She didn't say anything to me about my backpack or the bag I had in my hand of my exchange she let me go into the fitting room. She started to question me why I brought a backpack and the exchange items into the fitting room like I stole something when I went to the cash register. I told her she can check the receipt for the items I was bringing back and also check my backpack. So I finally found a pair of joggers that I like and they fit nice at the store in teal so she had to order the grape color. Since I had a credit I bought an extra pair in black same size and style without trying them on. Took them home and they were just too tight at the ankle which wasn't the case with the teal color ones I tried on in the store. I called and of course I get attitude over the phone making comments like I already placed the order they are being shipped. I said if they can't cancel the order I will just try them on and see if they fit she made snarky comments like it's not a manufacture issue you just don't like them that's not a legitimate return reason and if you don't like how they fit you will have to pay the shipping to send them back extremely unprofessional and rude. So I show up on a Sunday and she already starts stating things like you don't follow the policy I told her I just want to try out the joggers I ordered if they fit that's it she kept trying to push my buttons stating you aren't listening or following any of my policies. I'm sorry but maybe you and your husband need to be on the same page regarding policies don't tell the customer you can exchange items as long as they aren't used and then another person states something different that's not my fault I'm hearing two different policies. Also if you go to big name stores like Target, Macy's, Nordstrom they don't have you bring your return/exchange items to the front when you enter the store. You act like people want to steal your scrubs I paid over $150 for the scrubs I can afford them and also afford the shipping cost if they didn't work out. I will never step foot in this store again and I highly recommend you go to another store she's the definition of a Karen. And I wouldn't be surprised if she replies back to this review stating how nice she was and that I was the one with the attitude. Stay away. Update to her reply: I don't think that ordering scrubs that you already carry in the store in a different color is considered a "special order". She is blaming me for making a big deal I wasn't the one on the phone who was making a big deal I told you that if they didn't work out what was the process for exchanging you said you have to pay the shipping cost to return them. I said I would come by the store to try the items and if they fit they fit and if not we will deal with sending them back you gave me attitude during the entire phone call. Also I should have read all of the reviews because there are some on here that state the same that you were rude over the phone and even followed someone to their car bc you thought she stole some scrubs. Just deny your wrongdoings and lies and accuse the customer. You have no customer service skills and don't know how to talk to people in an appropriate manner. You literally were arguing with me when I was trying the scrubs on when I told you to stop pestering me about your policies. And I took the scrubs home because I didn't want to deal with your nasty comments and having to find other scrubs because your selection is limited. read more

I was visiting a friend who lives in Katy and I had been experiencing some problems with my right leg as a result of diabetes. My friend's wife said I should try some stockings that are made to help me with this problem. She said her brother had been dealing with the same thing and had gone to a local business and had gotten great service and that a lady there had been very helpful. I drove around until I found uniform Specialists of Katy. I couldn't figure out how a uniform place could be helpful. When I went inside I was greeted by a lovely lady by the name of Theresa who knew exactly what I needed and took me to an area in the store where she proceeded to introduce me to compression stockings and explained that these things could most likely help my problem. Fortunately there were not a lot of other people shopping at the time and she was very thorough I'm explaining the value of these stockings. She left me going through these stockings and went to help other customer with other items but returned quickly after she did what she had to do. What really impressed me was her lovely smile and friendly demeanor to me and everyone she dealt with. I spent some time in retail earlier in my life but quickly decided that so many people are rude and really couldn't give a damn about me... I found another line of work. Even though I heard one lady being rude this Theresa always kept that smile and helpful attitude throughout. She always returned to me quickly and answered all of my questions and helped me find what I needed. I have used those stockings regularly and have purchased replacements back home. As a consumer I have bought all kinds of stuff throughout the years but still remember the kindness and attention not just to getting what I needed but to make sure I was comfortable with the process. I'm glad she explained that my first time wearing these stockings would feel weird and even a bit uncomfortable. The word compression is sure accurate. I bet I was there for an hour looking at all of the stuff in that part of the store bur she never lost patience with me or tried to rush me. this manager response says it all. I didn't get far enough into the conversation to even come in and physically shop because of how I was treated by even asking over the phone. Nor did I even attempt to argue. The conversation was brief because the immediate treatment was awful. I needed scrubs and a jacket but will never step foot in here. In the age of online shopping, I hope you understand it's normal to call and find out stock before driving all over the city. I stand by my review and will stay far away from this business. I stated clearly I called in, yet I'm also being called a liar. Please also look at my profile to see if I ever leave negative reviews. I normally do not but nurses watch out for each other. This is the first review I have ever written and created a account just to warn people to stay away and not give this terrible place any business. It really deserved zero stars. I was looking for tall scrubs. I visited once and arrived at 9 am. The owner arrived to open the store at 9:15. She did not apologize for being late. Instead she acted very annoyed and preoccupied. I looked around and she answered a few questions but I was unsure of which brands my school would allow so I did not purchase any. I returned today with more details from my school on the brands allowed. I tried on two pairs of scrubs. There was another customer in the store and the owner ignored me until I came out of the fitting room. When I came out of the fitting room with the scrubs in hand she asked if I liked them. I said I was I between sizes and neither fit well. She didn't offer to take them from me so I went to the rack and put them back. I asked about shoes and she answered very abruptly. The shoes were overpriced so I left the store. I was in my car when she came running out. I opened the car door to ask what was wrong. She asked, "What happened?" I had no idea what she meant but I politely said, "I didn't find what I was looking for." (I presumed she had deduced that when I said the scrubs didn't fit.) She said, "You had scrubs in your hand I thought you were buying them and then you disappeared." This is not what happened! I asked a question after I put them back and she was abrupt when answering. Maybe if she been paying attention and speaking to her customers she would have noticed. I told her, "I put them back. You're welcome!" She was not helpful, pleasant and treated me like an inconvenience (for the second time) and then had the nerve to run out to my car like I stole something! If she had been paying any attention, listened when I spoke or offered to help she would known it was unnecessary to run out to my car. There are way too many scrub shops in the area to give this horrible woman any business ever. The place in Katy Mills is much better if you want to stay in the Katy area and they also offer long scrubs, cheaper! read more

Yessss I finally found my new go to place for scrubs. This place has a great selection of cute scrubs and on top of that it smells wonderful. The lady was very attentive and helped me find another scrub selection that was better than the one I had chosen. They also sell stethoscopes here which are way better than the ones you are issued. I went in today to buy Grey's Anatomy scrubs, and was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. Valerie introduced herself and asked me if I was looking for anything in particular. I told her what style, color, and size, and she personally went and got them off the rack for me. She helped me determine if I needed the regular or petite length, which I greatly appreciated. She was very sweet with my kids as well, interacting with them and making them smile. I really liked the personal feel of the visit. I have been coming to the Uniform Specialists of Katy for almost 4 years now and would never go anywhere else. Theresa (the owner) is the sweetest, honest, and by far the most amazing woman I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with! She has a wide variety of the best brand name scrubs, reasonable prices on stethoscopes/misc. medical equipment, and more importantly has always been there for her customers. It's hard to find places that put their customers first which is why, as long as I need scrubs I will keep coming here no matter what. One star. Yes, I signed up for yelp just to give this place the rating it deserves. I called Uniform Specialists of Katy to see if they had a pair of Grey's Anatomy 8 pocket cargo scrub pants. These are what I've been looking for everywhere in Houston. I spoke with a lady on the phone, and she said we have those and in your size. Awesome! I'll be right there! For someone who lives in the Med Center, that's a far drive. But hey, I needed them for a new job. Arrived at the place... But it was CLOSED? It was 3pm on a weekday. Had a sign on the door that said "Will be right back" with absolutely no time reference. How do I know what time you'll "be right back"? There was another customer that was outside in the heat waiting...and 20 minutes later decided to wait in her car like me. Shortly after, a lady comes in and unlocks the door. I'm not sure if she woke up with her head in the toilet, but this lady looked like she was in a BAD MOOD. She didn't really say a word to either of us... just unlocked the door and walked in with her Mickey D's doggy bag. There was no "I'm sorry for the inconvenience" nor "Anything I can help you with?". I understand you have to eat, but please, be a bit more welcoming to your customers. Oh well, I shrugged it off because I needed to get my pants. Looked all around the store for them and didn't see them. After a few minutes, I mentioned to the lady that I had called an hour ago about the cargo pants. She showed me some that weren't the ones I specifically asked for. So with a puzzled look on my face, I asked, "I thought you said you had the 8 pocket cargo pants?. She replied, "Oh, you didn't say that." Ugh, I know what I said! She probably realized how I upset I got, and was quick to say, "Oh those? ...those must be new" to justify that she doesn't have them in stock. I shook my head and walked off. The only place to shop for anything scrubs!! Jackets, a variety of colors/ styles for pants & tops, they even sell shoes .. Pretty big once you walk inside, definitely worth the drive over here. Not many staff around but that's okay, the lady knows where everything is and she's super sweet. She sells at good price for the wide array that she carries; I don't buy a new uniform a lot, but when I need one, I'll be going here without question ! read more

I've been purchasing my scrubs here for 2 years because they're one of the only places that had tall scrubs. I went in about a month ago and they no longer carry them. (Cherokee talls) and they've replaced them with another type that doesn't come in tall. Owner said they're more popular... Well not for the tall people! She didn't assist me at all in finding another brand in talls so I had to dig around the store myself and left empty handed. Not that she would notice in her recliner in the back of the store watching tv. I'm the type of person to not worry too much about the service in a place like this as long as I can get what I want near home and support local businesses, but my last encounter bothered me so whatever I went home and bought them on Amazon and now they'll just be delivered to my door... read more

The men selection is on the almost non existent side but I kind of knew that was going to probably be the case anyways. In the past if I needed men scrubs ordering online was the only viable option. But I needed something pretty quick and on the cheap. This place had both. The lady was super nice and showed me what I needed. Walked out with a set of very nice scrubs for about 30 bucks. Highly recommended. Just keep in mind that if you are a guy you might not find what you need if you are very picky. read more

I have been buying scrubs from this store for four years. It's not exactly in my daily path but the customer service the owner provides is unparalleled. Rarely do you ever see an owner of a business that immediately greets you and helps with your entire shopping experience. If they don't have your size or color you want she is very willing to order the items for you. Prices here are very comparable to online stores but you actually get to try them on in clean maintained dressing rooms. Theresa, I apologize, I never heard you mention the shirt replacement. My son pulled my phone cord and we got disconnected. Your disgruntled voice on the phone made me not want to call back. The biggest problem I have now is your attitude and the fact that I was lied to. When I was in the store making my purchases, you told me that your undershirts were preshrunk and I have my husband as a witness. When I called you and explained what happened, you asked me who I talked to that day and I said Theresa. That`s when the nasty voice on the phone said "Well I`m Theresa and I would never say that." I am not one that gets easily angered by things but I am a firm believer that first impressions make a world of difference and that a little truth and kindness go a long way. I didn't find any of those qualities in your store or on the phone. I understand that you cannot resell the shirts that have been washed and that`s fine, I just ask that you do what any good business owner would do and take care of the customer that gave you $200 that day. read more
