I tried to clarify that I had already been to the ER and needed follow-up care, but instead of listening, I was met with rudeness and ultimately hung up on after expressing my frustration. This was extremely unprofessional and disappointing--especially for a place people rely on for medical help. Basic communication and respect should be the BARE MINIMUM . I never feel the need to leave reviews but I don't want others to have my experience. Seek elsewhere

Doctors are not in the office on a daily basis. My doctor is only in on Thursdays. It took 3…read more months to get a Wellness appointment. During the appointment, the doctor sits across the room and most of the 15 minutes is spent with the doctor fooling around with the computer app and was more concerned with getting a POLST form filled out. She ordered lab work based on my meds. I asked for a urine test--she said they are no longer automatically part of the Wellness exam--I requested the test. My lab results had some issues and they were not properly addressed by the doctor. I called the office, wanting to talk to the doctor, but she does not take phone calls so the front desk gave me a phone appointment with the PA. The PA said I must talk to the Dr. who ordered the lab work. So, now, I have to wait another month to talk with the Dr. At least the PA did order the additional lab work. Prior to this experience, there have been issues with meds and referrals. I guess if you have no health issues, this type of care would work for you.

I called to establish care and spoke with Sela who scheduled me an appointment for March 19th. I let her know that my insurance was a JMPN HMO plan and that I was going to call my insurance to have them post date the change of PCP for 3/1/24 since I'm currently under the care of another physician and cannot NOT have a PCP in the interim. She said that I needed to call and do that first before she could schedule me (why she scheduled me already before verifying is beyond me) she then said that the insurance needed to send them a letter with the reference number. I asked to speak with the office manager at that point and she said she would have her call me back. I then received a call from Amanda who was so rude. She said that it's her office policy that they cannot schedule until the PCP is changed on the card, even though Sela said that the insurance can post date it. She said that it's in the best info the office to do it that way. What about what's in the best interest of the patient?!! What horrible patient care. So a patient can't have a PCP while they wait a month if they have HMO insurance if you want to schedule with them. How does that even make sense. And like I said, I'm currently under the care of a physician for a medical condition and cannot be without a PCP for a month. She then said that her doctor would not treat my medical condition and that their office doesn't agree with disability. She says her doctors will only sign for disability for 2 weeks and that's it. Hmm for someone who is not a physician she was quick to diagnose and tell me what treatment I needed. I cannot believe that the doctor would refuse a medical necessity and I cannot believe that they have such a rude office manager. She also says that she's the manager so she makes the office rules and she made that policy. I asked to speak with the doctor and she said that she wouldn't take my call and that I could email. She then said "I actually don't think I even want to give you her email." So unprofessional. She then said "I'm going to hang up now because we won't be able to have you as a patient." Wow, just wow! I dodged a bullet for sure. If an office manager can be this unprofessional and the doctor allows it, that speaks volumes!!!

This facility is a clinic not a hospital so we can only get limited care. There's no optometrists…read more(you'd have to go somewhere else). I think specialty care has to be conducted elsewhere. But you can get to see practitioners and get vaccinated here. I'm really annoyed at this clinic. I'm tired of these clerks/staff (whoever is slotting appointments) rescheduling our appointments without our knowledge. The fact that they call the day before to confirm your appointment then cancels it is unacceptable. The person at the desk stated that the tech that changed my appointment said "I came in to change it which makes me laugh. I never changed it. She confused us with patient. I wouldn't be so upset except that this is not the first time that this has happened. I'm just glad another patient was nice enough to give us her appointment slot. I hope this is the last time this happens. The quality of customer service when it comes to scheduling is really mediocre and needs improvement. However. I don't have any complaints about their clinicians or doctors as they've always seem caring and friendly. Also the clinic is clean which is another plus.

There is plenty of parking but I bit confusing where to find the actual office as long you read the signs you will find the place. To check in you have to ring a doorbell and a nurse will let you in first taking your temperature. If everything is fine you will be about to come in and fill out paperwork if needed and are seated right away. A few minutes later a nurse will come in and take you across the hall where the patients rooms are. They will do the regular procedure to checking your blood pressure and weight all that good stuff lol. They will have you wait for the doctor once the doctor will come in and check you out and see what your concerns are. If you need bloodwork they will refer you to a laboratory up the street! Honestly feel like this place does look out for their patients and make sure their patients are taken care of!

Both Dr. Pillai and Dr. Tong remained hostile toward me because I doubted their professional opinion. I have a new oncologist now. All of my doctors now attribute my new diabetes as a side effect from cancer treatment. I was right. It was obvious. These two doctors are some very disturbed men who become aggressive and adversarial if their poor skills are questioned and the poor skills do abound. I am convinced I would be dead if I had continued to be treated by Epic Care in Antioch. I swear that I am speaking the truth. If you value your life then you need to stay away from these strange men.

My dad was fatigued at the appointment and confused due to some medicine. My mom accompanied him to assist him and Dr Pillai ignored her, belittled her, and yelled at her multiple times. He only wanted to talk to my dad and yet interrupted him when he spoke slowly. When my mom told Dr Pillai to not interrupt my dad he became irritable. He rudely shushed my mom various times when she was asking reasonable questions about possible treatment and timelines. I was on the phone on the other line listening to everything. English is not my mom's first language and she was trying her utmost best to understand him but he was completely unpleasant and exclaimed that he won't change his personality to accommodate patients. He yelled "We're done here!" at both my parents. Either Dr Pillai is misogynist, xenophobic, or just hates his patients. If you're thinking of going to Epic Care please look for other options or at least try to be assigned to a different doctor. Cancer is hard and heartbreaking, there's absolutely no need at all for your oncologist, of all people, to make things worse.

There's no reason this appointment should have taken over 2 hours. If a patient is late to an appointment, we are forced to reschedule, but a doctor can be almost an hour late no problem. They are lackadaisical at best when you have a child who is dosing multiple antihistamines a day to no avail. She is missing School flunking her sophomore year due to this medical situation and getting no help. I would never take My Child here again.'
