I enjoyed the historical, and peaceful feel! It's a quality place to visit, as well as a value to your day!

Also, someone said that I was supposed to come in again to discuss grave markers as it was a sensitive subject. Already handled sensitive subjects such as a casket, the memorial program for instance and paid $18,000 for a simple graveside service. Also, I paid $3,700 for the staff's salary excluding the minister. The minister did a phenomenal job and did far more work than the funeral home staff and only received $500. Why should the consumer pay the funeral home staff's salary? The funeral home should pay their staff's salary. Don't use this place!! Also, the business' response is not accurate. Shannon did NOT reach out to me to purchase a grave marker--only for me to pick up a copy of the deed for the plot that was purchased and it was eventually mailed many months later.

The contract had been taken home and forged along with a check. My father in law had full blown dementia at this point and it was quite obvious. They did not not require a notary or proof of signature; they gladly took a check for nearly 18,000 dollars with no proof of identification. He is now buried in St Louis beside his wife (as per his Will). Yet, his photo and his wife's photo are being displayed in a mausoleum along side another couple. We can't even get them to remove and return the photos. So, they put up pictures, and charged 18k. Despicable place!

The day after she passed they contacted us to let us know that she was now under their care. An appointment was set up and we met with April a few days later. She was understanding and patient with us. Since my mothers burial wishes were planned in advance, it was a fairly easy process. She did not try to up sale us and helped us to understand the paperwork and process going forward. Every time I reached out to her via email, she responded quickly. Corey was also great help and was professional and courteous. If I'm ever in this type of situation again, my first call will be to Heartland. So fortunate to have found such a kind, patient and understanding funeral home.

I looked for cremation services and Heartland had the easiest website to understand and by far the best pricing. Other local cremation services were 4 times more expensive. When I called Heartland, my call was answered immediately, the process took under two minutes, and although they offered to meet us in person, they were able to simply email me the documents to fill out and sign. The documents were easy to fill out, and it was done. This was so seamless and easy at a time when we were grieving and didn't need any more drama. Thank you, Andrew, and your team at Heartland!!

My sister passed in February and I was so disgusted with this funeral home the day of her service…read more My husband and I arrived early to help her husband and kids set up pictures, etc. I had ordered a flower arrangement from just me to go in the lid of her casket. When I arrived, it hadn't yet been placed. When I asked about it, they wanted me to attach it myself. I couldn't believe they would ask the family to do such a thing! Much worse was how she looked. I don't know who the embalmer was but she looked horrible, NOTHING like herself. When I asked a friend who is a funeral director and embalmer at a different funeral home and described in detail how she looked, he explained it was a result of a mistake made during the embalming process. I honestly hope I never have to attend another service here.

Floral Hills did an absolutely fantastic job helping us to plan a service and burial for our son…read more Our son was in the Navy and was in South Carolina when he passed. He needed to be flown back home to Kansas City. We were going to have him received by a funeral home that was closer to our home, but things went terribly with that funeral home. We needed to adjust quickly because our son was due home and we needed to get things in order. Floral Hills stepped up to the plate with very short notice. I called them on Thursday and we met that same day. Our son arrived home Friday night and the staff was able to receive him and have things ready for a Saturday morning service. They did an amazing job for us, and all of the staff was very caring and compassionate in our time of need. We are grateful that they were willing and able to help us.
