Amazing place I got my wedding rings resized and put together. Very fair pricing excellent customer service. The jeweler is in store so you don't have to worry about your jewelry being shipped away! I had a great experience with this business. From start to finish Margit was super helpful and knowledgeable, and I love how my ring turned out! They were able to take a pair of earrings and ring from my late grandmother and turn it into an ideal, more modern ring that's unique to us. (I intentionally wanted the ring to be low-profile and sturdy for my active lifestyle). They were also able to recast metal from her ring, as well as my grandfather's ring, to recycle in my ring; and we brought in other scraps of yellow gold to sell to LCJ and have the price deducted from my ring's cost. Came here to initially clean and repair my grandmothers ring. I made an appointment over the phone with Carrie to meet with Margrit. I was nervous sense this is a ring that means a lot to my mother and I but the moment we sat down with Margrit we knew this was going to be great. She was very knowledgeable and noticed imperfections in the ring that we weren't entirely sure about. She was incredibly easy to talk to and explain not only what we wanted to have happen with the ring but also offered some other options that we eventually agreed upon. There was a period of waiting for the ring to be finished but that was no problem. Due to COVID and supply chain issues with manufacturing, some of the pieces for the ring got delayed. Carrie was always quick to call and inform us and rapidly apologize despite there being no reason to be sorry. Nevertheless, when the ring was done, Carrie made it easy for us to pick up from the secured front desk. The ring is absolutely stunning, and we continue to receive compliments on how gorgeous it is. I never thought it could shine so much! We sincerely appreciate the work Margrit did and the communication Carrie gave us throughout the process. My wife's wedding ring had a broken prong that held the diamond in so we took it to Hartley, a local jewelry store. They fixed it and were great - no issues our first time around, nothing extraordinary, but no problems. Problems began when we had to take her ring in again less than 12 months after our first visit because of a broken prong (again). When we contacted them to get our ring fixed the second time our experience actually started out pretty great. We were told it would be fixed by Thursday morning (we had called them on a Monday early afternoon) - which was great because we happened to be going out of town on Thursday through the weekend so she was happy that we could pick up her ring before we left for our trip! So my wife drove down on Tuesday morning and dropped the ring off and left it there to be further inspected. She received a call back with the following information: 1. They LOST the paperwork from the first time they worked on her ring so couldn't tell if it was the same prong that broke (which could have saved us money had they not lost it to prove that it was the same prong originally worked on) - very unprofessional. 2. We were told that it WOULDN'T end up being fixed by Thursday morning but they would need it much longer - only a minor inconvenience, but it added to the overall negative experience. 3. She was explained to that there were multiple other issues with the ring (other loose diamonds - small ones surrounding the center diamond, they recommended resetting the ring to prevent future broken prongs, etc.) and eventually the cost ended up rising to $675! My wife and I felt lied to, we felt like they were trying to take advantage of us, and we were overall very frustrated with the experience. We ended up taking her ring back without them doing any work on it and bringing it somewhere else where we had a FAR better experience. Needless to say, I don't recommend Hartley at all - they are a very unprofessional jeweler. read more

A major retailer had informed me of a loose stone on an engagement ring and told me they could send it off to have it fixed. Send off...my engagement ring!? No thank you. I walked into Hartley and the first thing you notice are the employees working behind the counter, so no sending my ring to who knows where. I left my ring with them and not too long after they called to give me an estimate (which was 60% less than what the other guy was going to charge me). In a matter of days I had my ring back, with tightened stones and extra clean sparkle. read more

I had a vintage setting re-sized and a stone put in for my wedding ring, and my husband bought his wedding band here - they had numerous options at reasonable prices. Phenomenal customer service,!!! ( or in my case potential customer service ) I called this jeweler to have my finger sized to determine my appropriate ring size. The lady that answered was very kind and made me feel totally comfortable with stopping in. When I arrived around 5:30 (30 mins from close) I was greeted warmly by three ladies. I was immediately assisted by a lady with shorter black hair and a jaw-dropping necklace. She genuinely cared about my simple ring sizing need, and didn't insinuate a sale. She was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Another lady even joined in with more recommendations, and ring advice. They wrote down the sizing notes for me, and were both very engaging. Before I started shopping for an engagement ring for my fiance, I did a good amount of research to help me feel confident that I was actually getting what I paid for.
