Best wings in the area, bar none. This is the place (at least in this area) that started the draft beer revolution! They had a rotating draft list of 18-20 (maybe a few more) beers, before anyone else in the area. They post the draft list on Facebook pretty regularly, so you know what to expect. It's best described as a dive bar meets English pub (I know there's a lot of contradiction in that. Go see for yourself). The service can be outstanding or not so, depending on who's working & how busy it is. The cheesesteaks are surprisingly good here too, but the wings seem to be king. On weekends you may have to wait for food to come out, but it will probably be worth it. Open until 2AM on weekends, but closing time varies during the week (usually stay open until 11PM /midnight, but I've seen a 10:30 closing). Was cash only with an onsite ATM, but started taking credit cards this summer (2015). read more

Called in an order. Fast easy no problems. Go to pick it up and walk in no one came up to the bar for like 10 mins the guy who did when asked where do I pick up the food was like wherever you like too. Here is fine. When he came back I went to hand him my card to pay and he started to laugh and said no cards cash only. And pointed to the ATM machine in the corner. Went to get money and its not a normal bank so I got hit with a fee and of course I'm sure my bank will hit me with one too. Once I got home the food was so so. The salad was the best thing. The egg rolls which were like 5 bucks for 2 weren't all that great. And then the wings I had better and cheaper too. Needless to say not going back there. read more

Great beer selection and large portions of food. That's why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. Service was terrible. Our waitress never made eye contact, and was dressed in her yoga clothes. Was she just coming from the gym? Food was flavorless, and half my wings didn't have any sauce on them. Refill drinks were never offered and we went to the bar for our refill. The beer list alone should earn this place 5 stars. They get in beers that you don't see on tap nearby (nugget nectar, flower power, Pliny, stone vertical epic and so many more). They have great, friendly staff and an awesome neighborhood feel. Sadly the menu at this cash only bar is just above mediocre. The buffalo wings (preferably hot) are the standouts and worth ordering, but most other menu items are just okay. If you're really hungry for appetizers beyond wings I would recommend onion rings or nachos. The sandwiches in my experience are dry and the burgers overcooked. This place is a dirty hole in the wall, neighborhood bar but the beer selection is awesome. Overall the food is just okay except for the wings and they are great. I went here often with my friends when I lived in Philly and it will always hold a special place in my heart. I will never ever order from this place again we have been calling to order and I completely understand that they are busy the manager who is wearing a purple shirt and a really squeaky voice kept telling me I was being difficult because I asked for my wings to be all flats and well done and I was only allowed to get 10 cooked that way I said it wasn't a problem I would just have my friend call back and order separately and then she said omg and hung up on me how unprofessional and Rood could you possibly be !!!!!!! I then continued to call back she finally then answered again and I told her she has all my information because she hung up on me and she said how difficult I am and that I shouldn't order !!! Great little bar with a locals kind of ambiance. Surprising selection of craft beer on tap and a lot of bottles as well. Only tried the fried green beans, which were delicious. Light batter, beans just crispy enough and a tangy dipping sauce. Enjoyed them. A lot of folks were coming in for wings (to-go) and said they were fans. The missing star was service, the bartenders seemed to be "done" with the craft beer thing and would ahve been a lot happier just to grab a Miller Lite.. This pup is pretty good. Wings are tasty and the beer is great! It's not a popular bar but the crowd are pretty diverse. From Seminary students to biker gangs. Great place to chill with friends. The only thing i believe can be a turn off is that it's a cash only joint. So do not forget to bring that along. read more

I've been here once and it was a great time. Sure the intererior design isn't hip or fresh, but it's quaint and goes along with the UK theme and works well for the space. There is a GREAT beer selection, with lots of choices. The wings are fantastic, too! So what more could you ask for in a bar? I only gave 4 stars because I haven't tried any of their other food items just yet. But so far the atmosphere, beers, and wings are a win. read more

By far, the best wings around. Try the butter garlic wings with hot sauce on the side. They are cooked to perfection and you will dream about them later. I usually order wings, but strayed for a quesadilla with tex-mex sauce on the inside. It was yummy too. I was not thrilled with the fish and chips, but I am very picky about fish. Stopping by late in the evening with some friends, enjoyed several of the great beers on tap at this pub but that wasn't the best part. My friends and I ordered wings but all different flavors and man, all I have to say is that this has to be one of the best pub wings I've ever had. All the wings came out fresh and hot-to-the-touch and tasted amazing from the medium to the maple sugar wings. Mmmm... The thai sesame wings were legit, and the Strongbow ciders were deliciously cold. I got a little carried away with the "Thai sesame" and ordered the Thai sesame salad as an entrée, but it was yum. Surprisingly good food for a bar atmosphere. This is my neighborhood joint. The wings are good. The hotter the better. The bangers & mash are great. The fish & chips are good. The beer selections are pretty good. My bf and I came here on a very good reccomendation from a friend so we were excited. On first impression, after we seated ourselves since no one approached us ( I understand it's a dive bar, but still not even a hello from the three workers) was it was kinda dirty, even for a dive bar. We sat at a booth against the wall. The booth had not been wiped down from the previous eater and the air conditioner mounted on the wall above us was dripping onto the table and our arms, kinda gross. Tried not to look at the dirty floors, seats etc.. cause I was really hoping the good reviews of the food would make it worth it. We ordered 10 lemon pepper parm wings, 10 medium buffalo wings and a basket of the house cut fries. And the French onion soup. The food was good, not amazing like I was hoping. After reading review and off of my friends opinion I thought the wings would compare to Currans or Jughandle, but they were pretty bland. The slow service and lack of refills on beer and soda also just make this place a below average wing dive bar. read more

Finest craft beer selection in the Glenside area - and rotating at that. Every time I go there are several new beers to try out. Staff is great, patio is a blessing all summer long, and it's never rowdy in there except for Eagles games. Then again, we want it rowdy for those. It's a younger and comfier crowd than most of the bars in the area. Try the wings! read more

Great food, especially wings. Great beer selection. Good wine for very cheap ($3/glass). Great location (same locals every weekend, within walking distance for most patrons). HORRIBLE WAITRESS. Not all the employees are bad. Most are so-so. But this blonde bitch who has been working there for as long as I've been going thinks she owns the place. She doesn't. I don't even think she's a manager. Every time I'm there I have a bad experience because of her. She even tries to up the prices and complain just for the sake of complaining. \ For instance, the previously mentioned $3 glass of wine I order on occasion, is $4 if ordered from her, sometimes $5. One time I sat at the bar playing photo hunt and was ordering pitchers to share with friends sitting at the table behind me. She yelled that we can't keep the pitcher on the bar. Why, I don't know. When the other bartender who was actually my server gave it to me, he placed it on the bar and said nothing from that point on. I even noticed her glancing at it a few times without saying anything. Finally, after about 10 minutes she yells in a nasty voice that we have to move the pitcher. This makes absolutely no sense. Just now, I went in there, during a snow storm, and it was packed. The second we walked in the door she announced (again in a nasty tone) "We're closing!" It's 6pm. I asked if the kitchen was open, since there were so many people there and she said "NOPE!" I am not the only one to complain about her and I hope she gets fired soon. read more
