My friend and I decided to eat "PEI Mussels and bread" the Mariniere version. The mussels were delectable! Nice, plump and easy to chew and swallow. The soup at the bottom of the cute little cauldron like pot they give you is White Wine, Garlic, Onion, Parsley, Cream and it is a very thick creamy soup. I also decided to eat something called a "Tartine." There was a few options and I picked the Pomegranate Zaatar Tartine. It was more zesty then pomegranate-ish but still yummy. I loved the thick layer of melted feta cheese on the bread, it made the pistachios on it so delicious and I usually don't like pistachios. The owner was really nice and so was the bartender. I come out wondering and he's yelling at me haranguing me out the door telling me "never return". And while it has been years since I was in there to use the washroom without buying anything that was easily 20 years ago and I have evolved since. Conclusion: find another coffee shop that offers the same stuff there's plenty. Even though there's multiple second cups in the city this guy clearly fails to understand the concept of good customer service is not just for the employees there. Lead by example dude. That being said I am taking my business elsewhere. He puts out a tense vibe for the employees, that were all watching btw and no wonder he has high turn over for those employees. The baristas were friendly and helpful, the service was quick, and the food and coffee were both delicious. A lot of the time, a milk drink like this can have a pretty flat flavour profile, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that Little Sister's espresso shots have a nice complexity and nuance that shines through the creamy milk. Over the course of a few days in Winnipeg, I was here more than once and got multiple drinks both times and left with two bags of beans, for myself and a friend. What more do you need to know?
