I like coming here because everytime I do, I feel like a mouse in a maze trying to locate the prize. In this case, the prize is booze and I (the mouse) am usually already drunk. Union Wine & Spirits is right down the street from our good friends' place, so we usually swing by this liquor store when our stocks are running low during a day of day drinking and bbq-ing. They always have what I am looking for and seem to have a nice selection of beers (not that I am too picky by the time I come here). So, my dear yelpers, I will give this place 4 stars. I dont know why, but every time you go in here, theres always a "hello" from one of the staff, but its just like them trying to see if youre going to rob them or not. I wear nice clothes, so its not like im under dressed or something. If you ask them for help or where something is, its always like they dont know english, but you know they do because they speak it when you need to pay and they know all the names of the liquor. Overall, its like they look down on people while selling them their liquor, and their attitudes are always the same. The worst is the smallest and skinnier one - the one who is working today in the afternoon. He always mumbles something after you pay, and never says thank you/you're welcome or responds to you if you say something. The mumbling in hindi really gets annoying IE, hey i dont want jack with apples, do you have regular?" "no, want jim bean?" "sure", and then instant mumbling in hindi as if he thinks you dont know hes talking crap about you. This is the united states - most diverse country in the world. we know when foreigners are talking crap. This was the last time ill go to this liquor store. Theres another option literally less than a block away. Customer service is everything in the USA. maybe yall should learn that. I feel bad for whoever the owner is, because the staff is really not as welcoming as i would think he wants them to be. Make sure to check bottled or packed on dates as have recently gotten old (almost 2 yrs old) products here more than once. Since new ownership, quality has drastically gone down hill and does not feel like our neighborhood store anymore. This store quite literally stole $60 from me. I ordered beer to be delivered, but the beer they brought was completely different from what I ordered. I did not accept the delivery and the driver said he would have the manager refund my credit card, but it would take a few days for the refund to show up on my bank website. Two weeks later, still no refund. I have called 10 times to ask to speak to the manager, but the employee who answers always tells me there is no manager. Now I see several google reviews from other customers who had almost the exact same issue. At least I can have my credit card company reverse the charge... but this place is a complete joke and they have no qualms about stealing from their customers. When I finally went into the store to request my refund in person, the cashier cursed and screamed at me, threw a pen at me, and threatened to call 911 as I laughed and drove away. read more

This seems to be a locally owned liquor store. It has plenty of parking in the front. Customer service was helpful but not overly pleasant. I went in to get a Kahlua Mudslide and wasn't able to find it. I ended up getting up getting some coffee liqueur and mango flavored vodka. They don't sell the lottery at this location either. This seems to also be the only liquor store within a mile or so of my hotel. There is a good variety. Lanes and shelving are tight so be careful walking through! Credit cards are accepted! read more

Let's talk about the huge selection like WOW!!! The employees are super nice and so is the owner. They take care of the customers especially the loyal ones and military as well and veterans they both get discounts on everything in the store! And if they don't have what you are looking for they will order it just for you! They go out of the way to make sure prices stay affordable especially in had times the owner had done everything to keep prices low! The owner treats his customers like his local family and it's a great feeling to walk in there and be able to feel welcome by all the employees. I love this place!!! read more

We went here yesterday because it was Sunday evening and this place was open. We got an assortment of beers for our friends and a bottle of mother-in-law wine, and - I swear this is true! After ringing us up, the clerk asked, "Do you want a bag?" "No, we'll drink it here" I replied, expecting to get a laugh. Nothing. Slackjaw clerk dude just looked at me blankly. My DH quickly said "Yes" so he'd bag our stuff and we could get outta there and on with our evening. Part of me has a morbid curiosity to go back next Sunday and see if the same clerk will ask the same dumb question. read more

Very friendly staff. My husband picked out a hard to find bourbon and I found a nice Pinot noir.

I come to this place a couple of times a week. Today, I met the owner and he treated me with total disrespect. Denied me service because I've been putting my girlfriend's dad in hospice all week and haven't slept. He told me I was walking funny, and told me he wouldn't sell to me. Again, I am a regular. We come in shortly after he opens because that's when I'm off work, and he knows I work late/ early hours. read more

I went to buy a bottle of wine and the guy behind the counter acted like I was some kind of hassle or something. When I approached he didn't say a word. He scanned the bottle an then stared at me with a dirty look. after about 5 or 6 long and awkward seconds I said "how much is it". He responded curtly by simply saying the price followed by saying "ID?". Nothing about his behavior or demeanor was welcoming, warm or friendly. I left empty handed and ventured down the street to Foothills Liquor where the service was exceedingly helpful, warm and friendly. To top it off, at Foothills the same bottle of wine was $8 cheeper! Really good choice of liqour for a relatively small place. Good craft liqour and brews. They've been expanding a bit and the change is good.

This is an average liquor store, in my experience. They have the usual name brand liquors. The store is a bit cramped and it can be hard to walk through in places. When I brought my stuff up to the front, the clerk rang up my purchases pretty quickly and sent me on my way. They weren't overly friendly, but they weren't rude, either. They just were not chatty at all. I can deal with that. read more

I would like to strongly suggest to everyone out there that they NOT patronize this liquor store. Apparently they don't need any business...or at least that's what the communicated to me. I have shopped here many times however on this particular day, I was headed to Subway to get takeout for my children. As I pulled into the parking lot, I found there were no parking spots available. I waited for a minute or two and I saw 5 open spots in front of the liquor store and other cars were beginning to pile up behind me so I pulled into a liquor store parking spot as it was my only option even though there were at least 10 signs stating it was liquor store parking only. At 7 months pregnant, it is beginning to get very difficult to get in and out of my car but instead of just parking and hoping for the best, I respectfully went into the liquor store and told the man behind the counter (whom I presume was the owner) that I would be less than 5 minutes and wondered if it would be possible to leave my car there as the lot was full. In the most rude and demeaning tone possible he barked that "that's why he put up those signs so people like me don't park there and yes, he did mind very much that I was parked there and that if I did not move my car that instant, he would have it towed." It was as if he was taking out on me, the fact that he resented that there was a Subway next door taking up his precious (and empty) parking spaces. When I told him that I frequented his liquor store (not while prego) quite often and his poor attitude could affect my returning there in the future, he said that he really didn't care and that I needed to leave and move my car immediately. I tried to do the right thing by asking permission (while admittedly hoping for the kindness and mutual respect of others) and this man was rude and unkind. I will NEVER be returning to this liquor store as there are many in the area that do appreciate my business and I would suggest to you to do that same. read more

The guys are very friendly and always accommodating, they always say HI if they see me come in. They ask if I need a bag as respect to most people in Colorado are Green friendly and normally I don't need a bag I'm just going to throw it away. SO thank you for asking!!
