Do not sell to this place. They will rob you!!!!! I brought in 6 different pairs of Jordans (each retailing over $60 in stores) and a north face jacket. Yanira was the one who took my belongings and told me i had until Wednesday to pick it up. I only got a cash offer of $10 and come back Wednesday to all my stuff being donated because the 24 hours was actually up on Tuesday which again was not what Yanira told me. They were no help at all and just shrugged their shoulders and said i missed the 24 hour window. You're better off selling your belongings on Facebook marketplace if you actually want money for what the items are worth. I will never sell to this place again read more

I brought in 3 brand new items with tags on, two children's sleepers/pajamas and a tulle sparkly skirt, all worth over $100. They offered only $4.00 to me for all and probably will sell for much more as I looked at the prices on some of the clothes there . This is a total ripoff to bring clothes here for consignment. . Would prefer to donate to a charitable organization. Don't sell your stuff here! Follow-up to owners response: Do NOT believe what the owner said about the total retail cost. It was over $100 as I said. There was no need for them to misrepresent the cost of these items. These were bought at a high end store. If nothing else, it shows in my opinion they are not worthy of dealing with or deal honestly with customers who want to sell their items here. They're just trying to defend their practice of giving low ball offers to those who sell their clothes here and then giving themselves a high profit margin. This review is specifically for buying, I have never sold to this business. However, I have had great experiences as a shopper. Last summer I bought several swim sets for my kids - they were in excellent condition, and I liked that the swim shirts and bottoms were sold together as a set (for pricing ballpark, I paid roughly $5.99 per set for generic brand like Cat and Jack... new the combo would have been about $22 so I was happy with the pricing). The time I was there I was also looking for pajama sets, which they had a more limited selection of (at the time), though I understand that the stock is constantly fluctuating at a place like this so perhaps it is more at other times. So, if you are looking for a very specific item it may be hit-or-miss. They do sell new items as well, however, I didn't find those price points competitive. I plan to go back soon as I am shopping for a used stroller and this will be my first stop. read more

The store has a good concept of recycling clothes to buyers and you can find nice items. However it is at the expense of the people donating the clothes. I say donating because they give you next to nothing for the clothes you sell to them. And they got stinger as the years have gone by. Then, when you buy something and realize it didn't fit your child, they only give store credit. Again your money that you spent is theirs and you are forced to get store credit. So just bring your child to try the clothes if you are not sure of size. I feel like they got arrogant with the business as the years have passed. Not friendly like they used to. It was a terrible first and last time experience. I will never go back nor recommend. when I got there early morning, I specifically told them it was my first time bringing items for them to review for purchased . I was exited and wanted to know their process for determining value to "purchase" and see how it worked. I was prepared to wait in store to watch but was quickly discouraged after 3 times of saying it would take time and I can come back , they make it so convenient to call email. I made it clear I wanted to know pricing and they said I can discuss when they called. well that never happened when I asked about pricing they said you can ask in store when you come in. I tried to ask when I was in store and still couldn't get any answer as to what price was paid to "purchase" the items they took. they took 23 items and "purchase" price was only $17. one item was a brand new toy still in box when I asked how much did they pay me for that, they just kept saying, "not much" we don't pay a lot for toys yet they had no hesitation to immediately put that very same toy right on their shelf asking $4.99 for it. The whole process was deceiving and just not right. I would rather just leave items in front of the store for free to the customers who are walking in there thinking they are getting a fair deal of store items that were practically "purchased" for pennies yet charging the customers 400% profits. i wasted time, money and gas for this worthless experience. read more

I love to dress my daughter in the cutest outfits, but don't want to go in debt dressing her and thanks to Kid to Kid we can keep her in the most fashionable outfits without breaking the bank! The location is a little weird and tucked away, but once you get inside it's cool ( temperature wise) and filled with the nicest staff. I can only speak on the consignment process. I have come here many times to sell lightly used kids clothing and toys. A lot of things I bring are actually brand new with tags or original packaging. But don't expect top dollar here. I once sold them a brand new Adidas basketball shoe (MSRP $65) and only received like $10, if that. My last haul I sold them two brand new baby beanies and a child vest and got less than $3! The only reason I come here still is after trying to sell them myself either via ebay or Facebook Marketplace and failing to do so after many months. This is my last resort to get a few dollars before a donation. Random note is they do not accept stuffed animals, doesn't matter if it is completely wrapped. If you do choose to sell here, I would just recommend staying in store vs leaving and coming back. They prioritize those that wait in store. I think the estimated wait time I got for waiting in store once was 45min but in actuality it only took like five min. All the times that I went out, they took 2+ hours. If you are looking to buy, they do have a good selection of kids clothings (some brand new), strollers, high chairs, etc (see pics). The store is located in a small strip mall that is a little hard to turn into. You can easily miss the turn from the main road if you are not paying attention. There are only a few parking spots in front of the store but when I went there parking was never an issue. read more

BEWARE DONT COME HERE : first of all this place is terrible i would not recommend so i went there to sell this old clothes I had for cash and they returned like they have a lot of it and it's like target and Ross I was there for one hour waiting and I got $10 and I brought lots of clothes just to bring it back to my house again I folded it up like I washed it just to come back home with the same clothes again like what you guys couldn't even take it . But it gets worse I was going through the clothing while I was waiting one hour and it's all dirty and the the strollers are dirtier . to be honest, they just wasted my time. I don't recommend this. Love this place! I've been coming here since my son was born and even before that! Kid to Kid has a wide variety of kid's clothes, shoes, toys, and equipment. They have costumes for Halloween and dance wear. Kid to Kid also has lots of new items such as hair bows and sippy cups. The clothes are well organized by size and labeled. Toys are packed in mesh or netting material. The clothing includes items for different seasons. I was in the area and decided to stop in despite being unimpressed with the Centreville location in Virginia. This location seemed larger and had a wider selection of merchandise. The value on the clothes I found to be decent. The toys, especially the toys marked new, were priced considerably higher than I'd expect. The worker who checked me out was friendly. There are occasional gems here, though you'll have to sort through stained, pilled clothing and ripped books to find them. I would definitely not recommend selling here, especially if you have higher quality, brand name items. They offer terrible trade in value, which is bizarre since their existence is only made possible by people being motivated to sell. (Tip: drop your clothes at Lemon Lane Consignment for far better value + selection.) Instead of making $3 in store credit for 8 articles of clothing, you could probably just gift your gently used items to friends, family, and neighbors in need :) read more

I'm a fan of this place! I'm pregnant with my third baby and we had just gotten rid of all of our baby stuff. You can definitely find some bargains here! Considering the cost of clothing nowadays, this place does the trick. I particularly prefer to dress my newborns in long sleeve footed zip up pajamas as I've only ever had fall and winter babies. Here you can find these for four dollars to six dollars. And basically everything is great brands and great conditions. I also found a great price on a nursing cover/infant car seat cover to protect baby from the wind or sun during naptime. I also see they have a great prices on swaddle blankets! If you want to buy a new swaddle blanket you're lucky to find one for six dollars if you buy in bulk. But here you can find some really cute ones, I noticed Harry Potter print ones the other day. And they were only four dollars! The store also has quite the collection of toys, strollers and carriers. They even carry the ergo 360 which has always been my personal favorite and I would highly recommend it to any mom! You can also sell your lightly used clothing. It's awesome that they give you the option to drop it off and pick it up later or drop it off and they will donate whatever they don't sell. You can either except cash or for 20% more they add the money to your account. That latter is my preferred method. I will also note that they sell some brand new products. For instance, they have an entire wall of Melissa and Doug toys in mint condition! They also sell a lot of smaller toys that are perfect for travel such as the books that only require a water pen. The only thing I haven't had success finding here is the swaddle I like that uses Velcro. However they do have some of the larger sleeping sacks and they do have some swaddles that zip up. I'm thinking I might actually give those a try this time around. Check this place out! read more
