We hired this company to clean our floors at our landlord's request when we moved away. They called us to try and come 2 hours earlier than our scheduled appointment, which we were unable to do. Then after making us wait an hour for our appointment, they called to tell us they would be another hour before they could come clean the carpets. We never ended up seeing the final product, so we can't vouch for that, but punctuality is not their strong suit. read more

I had not used this company for any work at my home in Santa Barbara and actually had not heard of it until I went on the web looking for someone to come over and clean, polish, and reseal my travertine stone floors which is in my foyer, hallways, and kitchen in the downstairs. I was actually a bit dubious because I had not heard of this company, although I found out it has been in business for over 34 years in Santa Barbara, and I knew no one that had used them. I have to say that I am glad that I decided to hire them to do the work. They did my downstairs stone floors, the tumbled marble floors in the master bath area, and the stone front entry steps to my home. They were courteous, clean and careful, and wasted no time by working diligently to get the job done and it took them two and half days to do the work. The floors look great, the cost was very competitive, and they did the work for the estimate we negotiated. Last winter, when Unique was doing our carpets, I complained that our forced air heating system wasn't working well. Henry, the owner, was there and he suggested it was a clog in the heating vents. His people "vacuumed out" the heating vents in the house which had become clogged with all kinds of "stuff" over the years. It could have been messy but it wasn't and the job was done well, at a fair price and on time. read more

They are rude, highly unprofessional and the owner himself will bully you if you ask for modifications on your carpet or rugs.Total nightmare with this company. Steer clear. This guy, Henry, is a scammer. Have never written a review like this but hopefully you won't go down the road we did. He's great at selling and then it's a disaster. He's after fire victims and any other big money he can find, especially those with great insurance coverage/payouts. Two of our Montecito neighbors called on him as well and none of us would recommend. Came to restore our tile floor and we paid him on the spot. When he left, we realized there were a few areas that had not taken well in the kitchen and called back to inquire. Sent pics as well. He was not happy. Said he gave it two coats and that was the best it would be. When we looked back at security camera, he had brushed over the area actually just once and quickly so it did not leave the coating finish we were sold on. Was then too "busy" to rectify. Can get rude very quickly and does not shoot straight. Consumer beware! We had it all redone by another group and now have clean, refinished and well-protected floors. read more

They took two days to call back, and after finally returning a call, couldn't even confirm the appointment. My mother called them again to confirm, even repeating the fact that we only needed one room cleaned. The person on the phone said that was fine and they would be here around 8:30. They waited until nearly 9 am the day they were supposed to be here just to call and say that they won't do anything less than $125. Not using them again. read more

It looks like nothing was even done. We were recommended to go directly with Winston, I guess partial owner. Our carpet is only 3 years old and, yeah, it has some wear on it but nothing more than normal. We don't have young kids and have 1 dog who is very clean. The whole appointment took less than an hour and we were told that was as good as it was going to get. What a complete waste of money...I mean when I say no difference I mean not even in the slightest. Not even the normal dirt in high traffic areas, let alone not a single stain came out and there were only a few. I am still in shock. I had my carpets cleaned once a year when my daughters were young and messy and it would come out practically spotless. Unbelievably bad job...and out $110 buck for 2 small rooms emptied of furniture and 1 with barely the furniture left in so very little floor space to clean, and no hallway. I know they had a commercial job that afternoon so maybe we just got jipped because short on time. So disappointed with them. read more
