Disappointing (period). Environment: unwelcoming, very…read morebright, noisy, not very clean and older facility Location: easy enough to find Used a Groupon. Came in for a 75 min massage. I guess, your time starts when u walk in the door, get undressed and the time it takes them to come in and actually start the massage. Things we didn't get, with our Groupon but stated it was included. 1. Full 75 min massage (got less than 60 min) 2. Foot soak with sea salt (they gave an excuse "water not working") The massage was terrible. Both of us were disappointed. The worse we've ever had. One masseuse constantly leaves to answer phones or whoever comes in the door. This is what I can hear from a guy who came in the door. He asks how much for a massage? She answers "60 dollars/hr"- he leaves. 10 min later a woman comes in and asks how much for a massage? She responds "70 dollars/hr. What!! How does the price change! The masseuses constantly speak to each other in their language. Though it's a quieter voice-it's still annoying. The wall to room they put u in-isn't a complete wall. There's appox. 3-4 foot opening at the top of the wall which allows for the noise and brightness from the large front window to come through. U can hear the road traffic, phones, the front door and other conversations. Another off thing.?! They have a camera/video monitor in the room your in of the outside of building. U can see for yourself what's happening outside. It's uncomfortable-like we were waiting for people to storm in here. I should've took a pic but we just wanted to get out of there that I forgot. We will not be returning; nor would we recommend.

This place was HORRIBLE!! We called 2 hours in advance and scheduled two full body massages and one…read morefoot and body massage. When we arrived there were only two workers we didn't think anything of it at first. My sister sat down for her foot massage while my Aunt and I went into our room for our full body massage, we sit in the room for 10 mins, after complaining one of the works came in and started massaging me she stood soon after to make a phone call to the worker who is supposed to be there to do my Aunts massage and tells us that she is looking for parking. The lady who was massaging me now starts massaging my aunt for 5 mins. The worker who was late shows up and starts my massage now. She massages me for 5 mins and than swaps out for another masseuse, during our massage the other worker who was late kept walking in and talking to the workers who were massaging us. We did not get one relaxing moment. Worst experience ever would not recommend them.

Book Tony. That's it. That's all. That's the review!!!…read more I typically visit every three months for an 80-minute hot stone massage and was previously seeing Gabe (unfortunately, he's no longer with Woodhouse). Gabe was fantastic--he always listened to my needs and paid extra attention to the areas that needed it most. This time, I was paired with Tony and OMG--he was amazing! You know a massage is good when you catch yourself snoring? That was me, LOL. Tony provided the perfect amount of pressure and, like Gabe, really listened to my concerns and focused on the areas I needed most. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend!

I visited Woodhouse Spa Walnut Creek on Sunday, July 19, with a friend. I had a facial, and my…read morefriend had a massage that I had purchased as a birthday gift using an online gift card that I purchased in October of last year. Both the facial and the massage were enjoyable, and we were happy with the services we received. Unfortunately, the experience at the front desk completely overshadowed our visit. When we checked out, my friend was told she owed the full amount for her massage. I explained that I had purchased the online gift card in October of last year. The front desk immediately asked for the confirmation email. I explained that the purchase had been made months earlier, I no longer had the email readily available, and that when I called before our appointment, I had been told we did not need to bring the confirmation because they would be able to look it up. Instead of trying to help, I was told that wasn't how they handled gift cards and that they had no way to look it up. Rather than feeling supported, the interaction became unnecessarily uncomfortable and felt more like I was being questioned than assisted. The staff came across as rude, disorganized, and unprofessional, showing very little interest in finding a solution. Ironically, after insisting they couldn't look up the gift card, they eventually searched under my name, even though the gift card was for my friend, and found it. Then, after processing everything, they initially told my friend she still owed $100. When I said I would pay it, they responded, "Oh, sorry, correction, you actually have a $100 credit." That level of confusion only reinforced how disorganized the checkout process was. When it came time to pay for my facial, I was then asked, "Would you like to just do the customary 20%?" Rather than presenting tipping options or allowing me to decide for myself, the question felt presumptive and added to the uncomfortable experience. To top it all off, immediately after everything we had just gone through, we were asked if we'd like to rebook another massage. After the experience we had at the front desk, it felt completely tone deaf. There was no genuine apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. The treatments themselves were good, but customer service is an important part of the overall spa experience. Unfortunately, the disorganized, dismissive, and unprofessional interactions at the front desk overshadowed what should have been a relaxing day. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because the quality of customer service did not reflect the quality of the spa treatments.

I've been going to Changes for many years now. I absolutely love the pedicure and gel builder nail…read moreservices! Before coming to Changes I'd never experienced such a relaxing and luxurious pedicure and I basically got hooked. No other pedi service compares to lounging in a recliner for a pedicure and being pampered from start to finish. I also love that they use fresh, individual foot bowls for the pre- pedicure soak instead of the yucky foot whirlpools found in the typical nail salon. Everything about this service is elevated. Shoutout to my girl, Vivian! I also began doing gel builder manicures with Nellis last summer and wow are they fantastic! I had a really hard time growing my nails out and keeping them long without breaking one and having to start over. Gel builder allows me to grow health nails, strengthening them so they don't break. I'm pretty hooked on this too, but for someone not wanting to commit to regular service this is a great option because removal doesn't ruin your natural nail. There's also no smell, unlike acrylics, so you don't feel like you're inhaling chemicals through your service. Highly recommend! So great that Changes is staying current with trends and offering new things. They have a relaxation room you can enjoy before and after services. They also offer facials, massage and hair services. Pay parking across the street, behind the salon and kitty corner at the library.
