My regular massage therapist moved away a while ago and I've been trying different places until I found Pleasant Day Spa, and now I don't need to keep looking anymore. The prices are very reasonable and the facility and the people are quite nice. I've now had two full body massages with Lulu and she is fantastic. She was very thorough and when she found the knotted up muscles and tension areas she expertly worked them loose with a minimum amount of pain. At the end of my second massage with Lulu, I felt like my muscles had all melted into the table I was so completely relaxed. I didn't want to move and disturb all of my soothed muscles. It was skin to skin and they still do the hot towels. But you could probably ask them to do a massage through a thin sheet. The first time I tried this place, my masseuse did an ok job. I thought maybe I'll give this place another try. My masseuse was Tina, she did an incredible job on getting the spots that I circled in the diagram - I would recommend her. But my boyfriend received someone who did a terrible job. Fast forward to yesterday. I had the worst headache and back/shoulder pain. I went in for a 60 minutes massage and my masseuse Cindy, 1 - did not follow the diagram. 2 - she mainly massaged my neck area and kept pinching it. 3 - she somehow pushed against my shoulders and made it worst, my body felt worse coming out than going in. 10 min into the massage I already wanted to ask her to stop but thought maybe it'll get better. Nope it kept getting worst, her techniques were terrible. Overall my experience here was not good and made me felt more stress and the areas that didn't have pain now has it. Please, if you hire someone, make sure they actually know how to do their job right because we don't just go in for free. We're paying for our service. read more

She left me wanting a two hour massage vs the hour I originally asked for. My total was 45$ (cash) (50$ for cards) which is a great deal I think. I can't believe I don't come more regularly. Tried to walk in on a Sunday: not sure if it was because we asked for full body massages or a couple's massage or both, but either way, an appointment was required for what we wanted. Luckily we were able to get one that same day. When we came back for the appointment a couple hours later, the receptionist looked at the clock (we were five minutes early), said she'd take us in five minutes, changed her mind, and took us in. After we'd been lying down for what felt longer than ten minutes, one masseuse came in and started working on my boyfriend. I started to wonder if she was going to work on both of us. Several minutes later another masseuse walked in, apologizing as she did so. Okay- you cannot be self-conscious about your derriere if you're going for a full massage here, as your bare bum will definitely end up exposed. The first time the masseuse folded down the sheet, I thought it was an accident and she would cover me back up. NOPE. I was sore from snowboarding the day before, so aside from that initial awkwardness, having a total stranger massage my butt wasn't so bad. Not sure if it was this particular masseuse, but the lack of communication was off putting. Most ask if the amount of pressure they're using is too light/hard. This girl said nothing. Nor did she lighten her touch when I flinched from having my calves and back of my neck squeezed too hard. The real cherry on top was when she scraped her nails up and down my scalp. Our total was $84- 40 per massage, plus a fee for using credit card. For this price, I would come again, but hope that I get a different masseuse. read more

Don't go! I am a strong, muscular person that doesn't get hurt easily and this massage left me crippled for 4 days. My lower back starting spasming after the massage. I went home and used my TENS unit; Salonpas pads and alternatively ice and eat for 4 days. I could barely walk. I thought it might just be soreness from the massage but not when it lasted 4 days. It was cheap and convenient but not as the cost of how much pain I was in afterwards. They speak minimal English and it can make it difficult to communicate. They get 1 star for being courteous. My SIL and I were desperately looking for a Spa that would take two walk-ins at the same time on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend as are scheduled appointment at Anew Day Spa failed to call us before they canceled. We called before we arrived and the woman who answered was very friendly and accomodating they were able to take both of us right away. Upon arrival she greeted us with a smile and walked us right into our rooms. The rooms looked for very nice, with calming music and lighting that made me feel very relaxed. My massage therapist walked in and she was very sweet and new what she was doing, I didn't catch her name. She made sure the pressure was okay. I usually have a hard time letting the therapist know if the pressure is too hard just because I don't want to offend them and I let her know that. She said don't worrk just let me know. She found all my knots right away and massaged them out. I felt very comfortable and relaxed and would definitely go back. Especially with the great price. However, we were surprised that one of the therapists had asked us to pay prior to the massage. Good thing that the other one said, no need. The quality of massage is just fine. She was exactly the kind of masseuse I was looking for because she was caring about how hard or soft she was going. I really enjoyed when I called to make the appointment the lady on the phone had a very nice soft voice and let me put my name down. When we got there we paid the $45 up front and then we were given a diagram of the body so you could mark where exactly was causing you the most pain so that way they could make sure to take care of those parts the most. The room was very large and nice. The music was soothing which made it easier to relax. To end the message we were also given a hot towel rub down. Will be back for sure! Best full body massage I ever received. A "real" deep tissue massage. Lily helped break the chronic neck pain/stiffness I was afflicted with. I went 5 times and each time I got more relief. Almost 100% now. It is a basic place, not fancy, but it does the job. The price makes it attractive to get more frequent massages. My only issue was, the last two times they used a another lotion on my neck and I had skin reaction to it. If you have sensitive skin, make sure you ask them what massage lotion or added treatment solution is used. read more

Just went there first time. Except for the paint smell from the place being newly painted, everything else is good. $20/hr foot massage includes face, head, neck, scalp, hand, arm massage for the first 15 min. I gave $10 tip because that's only right after such good massage at dirt cheap price. Only minus point (even after the paint smell fades) is that you can hear people talk and have to see everyone else getting their feet massaged in one big room. So if you're not into being in a large room filled with other people, get a body massage which you get in a private room. Most likely I'll visit them again soon. read more

I have not been able to walk for two months after an ankle sprain and after 90 minutes I literally was able to walk out of here without a limp and feeling SO taken care of by a skilled and compassionate therapist. If you want an expert massage this is the place to go. Fantastic experience from start to finish at a super fair price. I don't think it works well to view tipping at this kind of place on a percentage because the prices are so low. Think of how hard they are working and what you think is fair to acknowledge for their efforts and care. read more

Thought I'd try this place out as it's close to home and was unfortunately very disappointed. A girl named "Wicky?" Started my foot massage and there was nothing relaxing about it. She seemed very rushed and bothered to be there. At one point she talks to another woman "Katie" and then 10 minutes later leaves and Katie comes to finish the massage. Katie actually seemed to know what she was doing and the last 15 minutes of my hour weren't too bad. However, I don't plan to go back. There are plenty of $25 dollar foot massage places around and I've been to several.
