I waited until 10:30 and called to see if she was ready there was no answer so I walked back to pick her up. I was told by same young man that it would be an additional 25 minutes since she was not ready yet. I explained it takes me 15 minutes to walk here and I would wait. I asked how far along she was thinking if she was wet or needed to be brushed I could do that at home. At that point I I found out she was in cage the entire two hours and not even started. He stated they were backed up but they were working on a dog in back to add insult to injury the person who came in behind me initially was picking up her dog. No excuse could be given to me why my dog was still in the cage not started since I purposely made her the first appointment of the day. I took my dog home without being groomed.I have used them previously feel this never should have happened they never even apologized just said have a nice day as I walked out what an insult. Would give them a zero.

Let me start off by saying that I never thought I'd be posting this review. We've praised this…read moreplace for YEARS, recommending it to every single one of our friends. We've been customers since 2019, bringing our golden retriever and our Samoyed to get groomed every two months. We would even drive 40 minutes each way to drop them off every time because we loved this place. Not even the $350 price tag at every appt kept us from coming back. I'm pregnant and had a very important scan at the hospital today. Given that we have two large dogs, it's usually very hard to get an appointment. Last week I scheduled an appointment for today and explained that we would be dropping off the dogs on the way to my appointment which was at 12:30. They confirmed that was fine and not an issue at all. We arrived at 11:45 and were told that we were too late to our appointment and they could not accommodate us with an insanely rude attitude. I explained the situation and what I had originally been told on the phone, to which they responded with "it wasn't me you spoke to." I explained that we've been loyal customers for 7 years, and that we always get a call if we're more than 5 minutes late. We didn't get one today. They told me "they never call" lol. I kept explaining about our unique circumstances and if there was anything they could do to help, to which they replied "no." We ended up having to drive 45 minutes back home to drop off our dogs, and beg the hospital to squeeze me in 45 minutes late to my appointment. The amount of anxiety they caused me was just unnecessary. But that's not even what bothered me the most. It was the utter lack of empathy, and understanding we were shown despite being loyal customers for over 7 years. No apology for their miscommunication, just the absolute worst attitude I've received as a customer in a while. TLDR; if you have big dogs, go somewhere else. Theres a reason their instagram only shows small dogs, they really don't have the capacity to handle big dogs with any margin of error, even if the error is their own. Time to find a new place.

Cupcake loves being groomed but did not like being in a cage or being blow dried and Bonnie, the owner of Canine Designs, made sure to give Cupcake the extra love and attention he needs. Fast forward five years later and Cupcake has a girlfriend. Her name is Waffles. And she is a pure bred shih tzu. She is full of energy and very lovable. She has completely different fur than cupcake. Cupcake has hair where Waffles definitely has more of a fur. Waffles loves going there as much as Cupcake does. They get to see other dogs. Get pampered by Bonnie and the ladies. Then one day we took Waffles to get fixed and oops, too late she was pregnant. Waffles delivered five beautiful Malshi puppies! Four boys and one girl. And my entire life changed. Nothing gave me so much pleasure than to come home and have all these little faces looking up at me. I showed up at Bonnies with my two dogs and the whole puppy family for their first baths. Bonnie and her ladies Andrea and the rest of the gang were in love! They were so gentle with Waffles Babies. Washing each one. Fluffing them up. And getting ready for their new forever homes. She was VERY REASONABLE in price when I needed it the most! Seven dog grooming could leave anyone broke! I kept two puppies. Big Fluff and Groucho. I couldn't decide which one to keep and kept two. I spend a huge portion of my life being a mother to four dogs and living up to the expectation that brings. Big fluff and Groucho are Malshi and they have the best traits of their parents with a mix of fur type. Again Bonnie works with me because she knows it's expensive for Four dogs to get groomed. Bonnie, Andrea, and the rest of the ladies at Canine Designs are my extended family for my dogs. They know Groucho has sensitive ears that have to get cleaned often and cupcake has skin allergies and they live my dogs like I love them. In order to continue to provide you with factual, informative feedback, this latest evaluation of that response is now posted. Ownership contends that the "pack" is walked 3 x per day. When closed circuit video was operable, clearly, the dogs within the large play area were not taken outside; this was verifiable after watching the camera feed continuously over an 8 hr period. (There is insufficient staff to walk all of the dogs, on leash, within the nearby wooded area.) Sadly, the dogs continue to relieve themselves directly onto the play floor. The suggestion that existing smells on the floor contribute to the triggering of relieving themselves is lame at best. Considering that the play floor is sanitised regularly, and that it is a sealed floor, the dogs are simply compelled to relieve themselves onto the floor; there are no lingering smells. Don't forget, a single staff member is assigned to immediately clean up after the dogs "go". With regard to dog owners using the view window to check up on their furry friends, that window is limited to the small dog play area. Unless dog owners intend to camp out at the one window, it's unreasonable to suggest that the one view window provides proof of the dogs being walked, the lack of a closed circuit TV feed notwithstanding. TV feeds for dog owners was taken down several years ago; you should be concerned about that decision.
