Over the last few years, Christine has kept us informed of some modifications to the grooming as our dog has gotten older. After the last visit, Christine shared her concern over our dog's anxiety during her grooming, and while she'd be willing to groom her again, thought it might be best to have us just bathe and brush the dog at home. She showed so much genuine care and concern! I must have been visually emotional, and Christine responded with utmost sincerity and compassion. When is the last time that a business put a customer's (human and/or canine) well-being ahead of additional business. It's rare indeed, and that tells you how great this place is. Thank you, Christine and staff for so many years of exceptional service!

BUT apparently my little guy is sick of that b/c all he wants to do is go into this place when we pass it on walks. it's around the corner from where i live and he pulls me in their direction even at night when they are closed. They must give off a really great doggy vibe! or maybe they have treats inside, who knows. anyway, after a couple of months of his begging, we tried it out for a bath and nail clipping and they did a great job for a reasonable price. definitely worth it for not having a soaking wet bathroom and tub filled with dog fur and aching back. the people working there are super nice and accommodating and my dog still loves it!

Scheduling is super easy online, and check-in is quick and smooth. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. You bring your pet in, they verify your information, you explain the style you're looking for, and then they take them to the grooming area. One thing I absolutely love is the transparency -- it's all glass, so you can see everything that's going on from both inside and outside. When the pups are finished, they sit in the cutest big front window waiting to be picked up. It's adorable. The shop is always spotless, smells fresh, and feels very clean every time I go. Prices are reasonable, they accept cash and all major credit cards (with a discount if you pay cash woo hoo), and they even offer a doggy chauffeur service for $15 within four miles! They pick up your pet, groom them, and bring them back home, which is such a sweet option. They also have different doggy cologne scents you can spray on your pup before you leave, which is a fun little touch. On top of all that, it's woman and minority-owned, and I love supporting businesses like that. Highly recommend!

I honestly believe the groomers have potential and should be trained better. But if you honestly aren't comfortable doing a dog's haircut, i rather the honesty and not the mess up. I have a bernedoodle and asked to have him short for the summer with some poofiness on the top of his head. I even showed picture inspiration. I'm thinking they'll fluff him out and shorten his hair, NOPE. FIRST of all, it took 5 hours and a half. Absolutely too long. SECOND, my dog is shaved down to the skin, they said he had some matt's but i'd think they'd brush it out or even call to ask if i wanted him shaved down to the skin because of this. Nobody notified me. THIRD, he wasn't even fluffed out brushed nothing. It looks like they air dried him the whole time. Probably why it took 5hrs??? I'm just absolutely disappointed and will not be returning. Pictures down below are what i showed them what i wanted vs what i got.

According to Petco's vaccination policy (as shown in the screenshot included in the photos), the rabies vaccine is not required for dogs 16 weeks and younger. My vet does not administer the rabies vaccine to dogs under 16 weeks, so my puppy hasn't received it yet. Since my dog is a standard poodle, she requires more frequent grooming due to the nature of her coat. As she's still a puppy, we're figuring out the right schedule for her grooming appointments. We were preparing to go out of town and she looked ready for grooming, so when we saw that Petco Verona had appointment availability on short notice, it seemed like a good option. Before making the appointment, I made sure she met Petco's vaccination requirements and had physical copies of her up-to-date records. I'm frustrated that I wasted my time preparing and taking my dog to the appointment, only to be turned away upon arrival due to the staff's lack of knowledge about their own company's policies.

We've been customers since 2019, bringing our golden retriever and our Samoyed to get groomed every two months. We would even drive 40 minutes each way to drop them off every time because we loved this place. Not even the $350 price tag at every appt kept us from coming back. I'm pregnant and had a very important scan at the hospital today. Given that we have two large dogs, it's usually very hard to get an appointment. Last week I scheduled an appointment for today and explained that we would be dropping off the dogs on the way to my appointment which was at 12:30. They confirmed that was fine and not an issue at all. We arrived at 11:45 and were told that we were too late to our appointment and they could not accommodate us with an insanely rude attitude. I explained the situation and what I had originally been told on the phone, to which they responded with "it wasn't me you spoke to." I explained that we've been loyal customers for 7 years, and that we always get a call if we're more than 5 minutes late. We didn't get one today. They told me "they never call" lol. I kept explaining about our unique circumstances and if there was anything they could do to help, to which they replied "no." We ended up having to drive 45 minutes back home to drop off our dogs, and beg the hospital to squeeze me in 45 minutes late to my appointment. The amount of anxiety they caused me was just unnecessary. But that's not even what bothered me the most. It was the utter lack of empathy, and understanding we were shown despite being loyal customers for over 7 years. No apology for their miscommunication, just the absolute worst attitude I've received as a customer in a while. TLDR; if you have big dogs, go somewhere else. Theres a reason their instagram only shows small dogs, they really don't have the capacity to handle big dogs with any margin of error, even if the error is their own. Time to find a new place.

We took our dog here randomly because we couldn't get an appointment at our regular before the holidays. I will say I was able to book an appointment quickly and obviously did not read the reviews. I asked for a simple bath, deshedding, and the usual ear cleaning. We have a mix with medium hair, not a malamute but not a pitty length. He was not matted, not was he shedding anymore than normal (not clumpy or undercoat). He has a gorgeous coat that we frequently get complimented on and is well taken care of. I took him out to get groomed in the afternoon and when I picked him up, I saw that he was chained to a grooming stand by himself with no more than 4 inches slack. I didn't think much of it at the time, since I know he doesn't go into a crate easily, paid and left. Upon getting home I noticed he smelled great and was clean. After a day I noticed he wouldn't eat and was flinching and whining when I would touch or pet him. I rushed him to the vet thinking something was seriously wrong. After spending over $1200 at the vet for an exam, testing, and multiple pain meds, we realized that he had been brushed so hard on his back that they tore skin. After a couple days, and now 2 weeks, he has a HORRIFYING amount of LARGE scabs up and down his spine from the very top of his head to the base of his tail. We concluded that this was from the deshedding brush. There are no scabs on his stomach or sides so I cannot show photos and because he is black, they're nearly impossible to see when I try to photograph. I cannot bear the fact that my sweet boy was brushed so hard for god knows how long that he was bleeding and in pain. This was not a mistake that went unnoticed. This is pure animal cruelty and they are honestly lucky I am not pressing charges. They should not be allowed to touch another animal. Lord knows what else goes on behind closed doors. Please do not take your babies here. I am devastated for my boy.

We stumbled upon this place and brought our dog here. When my husband was dropping him off, he was explaining to them what kind of Cut he wanted them to do. He said just a simple trim nothing too short. The woman looked at him and flat out, said "I have no clue what you want", And she called for somebody else to come over and yelled "This guy is asking for something and I don't know what he wants." - In a very rude tone. Mind you, we are brand new customers, this is our first time there. Our dog is a golden retriever and so he's the happiest dog you'll ever meet. Because it was our first time I called an hour later to check up and see what his status was and how he's doing. The woman that worked there (didn't get her name but she was a very tough and rude woman) was very mean as if I was bothering her when I called. I simply was asking for an update to see when my dog would be done, but she was not very polite. After picking him up, we noticed that he was not Himself. He was pulling us to leave. When we brought him home, he was very quiet and not his happy self. A month later we had another appointment booked and as we were walking close to the door We noticed our dog, pulling us the opposite way- He was basically telling us that he did not want to go inside. That was a huge red flag for me. I knew something happened during his first grooming Session And I'm glad we trusted our instinct the second time and didn't go through that door. Unfortunately This is not the first time I've heard of an experience like this from This place. 2 other friends who have dogs stopped going there too because of similar stories. I don't know what happens behind closed doors at Studio Groomers, But all I know is that if they treat humans like myself so mean and rude, then I can't imagine how they treat dogs. I am really concerned about this place and their staff. Please, if you're reading this be cautious before going here if you care about your pet.

From day one, Erica welcomed me with open arms. She believed in me, encouraged me, and was always willing to share her knowledge. Through her academy, I completed a 500-hour grooming course that became the foundation of everything I know today. Erica taught me far more than just grooming techniques. She taught me about dog breeds, coat types, breed-specific haircuts, proper hygiene procedures, skin and coat care, hydration treatments, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and even how to safely perform anal gland expression. Every lesson was taught with incredible patience, attention to detail, and genuine care. What truly sets Erica apart is the way she teaches people to understand animals. She taught me how to read a dog's body language, recognize their fears and anxieties, help them feel safe, and handle them with kindness, respect, and compassion. She always emphasized that grooming is not just about appearance--it's about building trust and creating a positive experience for each pet. Today, I am a professional groomer and proud owner of my own business, and I can honestly say that none of this would have been possible without Erica's guidance, mentorship, and constant encouragement. She helped me discover my passion and my purpose in life. Working with animals is something I truly love, and I am forever grateful that she played such an important role in that journey.
