I have been taking my three dogs here for a few years and the owner is amazing she does a great job with my dogs and treats them like her own. There cuts always look beautiful and I feel comfortable leaving them as I know they are in good hands.

As soon as you walk in you can feel the warmth and good vibes. Very professional and knowledgeable- we love both Rocco and Renzo's cut. Thank you for taking great care of our babies. Highly recommended!!!

My leonard looked so fabulous after going to this groomer. He was also so calm and comfortable. I will be returning!

Just moved to Jersey & I cannot be happier that I found this place! I love the fact that they don't crate the pups unless they don't get along with the other animals. I hate knowing when I leave my little baby, he spends a hour or so waiting in a cage. Thor has really bad tears that make his face hair extremely hard and takes forever to clean. They did an excellent job cleaning him up and making him handsome. I showed the owner a reference picture and she nailed it. Btw the customer service is spectacular. Will definitely be going here for the remaining time I have in Jersey.

I just took my furbaby here for the first time yesterday and can't get over how handsome he looks with his fancy new haircut! Very nice, clean little place, with very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff! I'd definitely recommend this groomer to other pet owners in the area and will definitely bring my little nugget back when he gets good and stinky again (which could be in just a matter of days with him)!

Being new to the area I wasn't sure of any groomers in the area for our two pups. Bark Avenue Grooming was recommended to us by someone at the dog park. I called early in the week and was happy that they were able to take our dogs that weekend for much needed haircuts. The woman who answered the phone, whom I believe was the owner answered all my questions and explained what they offer. We chatted a bit about dogs and I knew right away that my dogs would be in good hands and that they genuinely care about the animals. When I arrived for their appointment I met the groomer who would be doing the pups haircuts. She made sure the pups were comfortable with her and asked me a few questions to make sure it was a happy and stressless experience for them. A few hours later I was called to pick them up and I have to say that it was the fastest turnaround time I've ever had with a groomer. They both looked great and were very relaxed and happy. We will definitely be going back.

I have a bichon frise who needs regular grooming every 8 weeks. I brought him to Bark Avenue for grooming. I was initially not satisfied with my dogs groom however the owner was more than willing to make sure I was satisfied. I am very pleased with their care and concern to ensure I am a satisfied customer. My doggie looks great now. I would definitely recommend because of their professionalism and care for their customers.

    After ear cleaning?!

Super friendly and very sweet to our nervous dog. Would absolutely recommend, especially if you have a nervous fur baby.

I wanted a wash and a comb at most a puppy cut. 4 hours later I was told to come get my dog at 6pm. I go to pick her up and completely didn't even recognize my dog for they had shaven her down to the skin! They also didn't even wash her! they told me they do the cut first and then they bath her. I got there as they were doing the last buzz on her! I was absoluly mortified. I had to get my dog out of here! They also CUT HER SKIN! Additionally my dog was shaking for hours after I picked her up. I have no idea what they did to my dog while there. After the mutilation of my dog they had the audacity to charge me 120 dollars. I refused and they threatened to call the cops on me! If you love you pets DO NOT GO HERE! HORRID!!!!!!

Was looking forward to having a new groomer in town, but I would never go back here. We brought…read moretwo dogs and wanted them both cut short with 'puppy cuts'. Their cuts came out very uneven and choppy and not as short as we wanted. We even showed pictures of how we like the dogs to be cut, but those pictures were not followed. One ear is longer than the other on one dog and the poor thing looks crooked. When picked up, the collars were on the wrong dogs and one dog had the handle of the leash around her neck instead of the correct part of the leash. My dog could have easily slipped out of it onto the busy main street if we didn't see it was put on wrong. Both cuts were $90 and this bad experience cost us $200. Not worth the money AT ALL.

My husband and I were traveling…read moreinternationally this past week, and we were pretty anxious about leaving our dog, Selena, especially because our original sitter cancelled on us at the very last minute. NJPS stepped in and helped us in a pinch, and we're forever grateful. From the start, they were reassuring, responsive, and incredibly kind -- they really helped calm our nerves. Their app made everything even easier; we loved getting photo updates and detailed notes from each visit. Selena is a senior dog with quirky eating and walking habits and requires medication, and they handled everything perfectly. It gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Selena was so well cared for, and we came home to a happy and healthy pup. They even followed up after we got home, which showed us that this was so much more than a business transaction to them -- they genuinely care. Highly recommend their team to anyone looking for reliable, thoughtful pet sitting.

Do not use North Jersey Pet Sitters if you wish to come home to your beloved pets alive and well…read more After using their services for a couple of years, we had begun to trust this team. That was our first mistake. My family and I went away for a week at the end of June, leaving our five ducks, four chickens, three rabbits, and two cats in their care. You would be forgiven for thinking there might be a partridge in a pear tree somewhere in this review. Thankfully, there isn't--because like some of our actual pets it probably would not survive the end of this write up. Anyway, back to my review. After returning home from our trip, tired and exhausted after a week away, were we greeted by our beloved pets? That's right--you guessed it. No, we were not. We were greeted by overflowing litter boxes, filth all over the enclosures, and empty food and water bowls. By the state of the place and the lethargy of the animals it was pretty clear that the greedy little blighters hadn't simply drunk all their water and gobbled up all their food immediately before we arrived. So there we were at 12:00 a.m., after a long trip, filling duck ponds, chicken feeders, and rabbit waterers, while also cleaning up the multiple piles of cat feces throughout our house because the litter box was worse than a sewage plant. We reached out to the owner to find out what on earth had happened and hoped for the best with all our starving and dehydrated animals. Spoiler alert: one of the rabbits didn't make it. After multiple vet visits to try to repair the damage caused, he went into gastric paralysis during the night and passed away a few days later. Terrible, I know--but it doesn't end there. It turns out his bonded mate was pregnant. We can't blame North Jersey Pet Sitters for that part; we were told she was fixed when we adopted her, but it turns out that wasn't true. Due to malnutrition, however, the babies perished, leaving this poor rabbit both a widow and the mother of angel babies in one fell swoop. North Jersey Pet Sitters swore that this was simply one bad egg. They fired the employee in question, refunded our money, and promised us that they loved animals and had no idea how this could ever have happened. After having used them for several years, we believed them. Our second mistake. We were going away for another week in July. Their supervisor, came to our house to make sure they knew how to care for the animals. After spending an hour walking through our home and promising us the world, we were ready for our trip. Nothing could go wrong this time, right? Surely, after what happened last time, they would make sure everything was perfect? Wrong. When we returned home what did we find? The duck enclosure door had been left open, and one of our girls was missing. After searching, we found her in the woods with her neck broken. How could this happen? The obvious answer is that the person who came to check on them left the door open, right? Not according to North Jersey Pet Sitters. Maybe a neighborhood kid did it. Maybe a dog did it. I'm concerned that people who claim to care for animals don't realize that dogs lack the opposable thumbs required to operate a latch specifically designed to keep predators out. Honestly, with the wild stories we were given, I was half expecting them to suggest that some of the gibbons from Turtle Back Zoo had escaped, come to our house, and opened the door. Frankly they should have suggested that, because gibbons have opposable thumbs, so it would have been more believable than their ridiculous dog theory. Anyway, thanks to these so-called pet sitters, we now have two dead pets and a rabbit with--using the vet's terminology--"mummified" babies stuck inside her. Who knows? Maybe the silver lining is when she is finally able to birth them we'll have the plot for a new mummy film actually worth watching! 0/10. Would not recommend.
