I went there with my dog, she gave me a price but when I came to pick him up she jacked up the price "She charges extra for newer clients". She did not tell me that before I dropped him off. Wonder why that was? I tried to make an appt again was told last time he was matted so do not want to groom him. I thought that was a part of grooming. Owner is nice on the phone. That's about it. After taking my puppy home from his grooming session he seemed off. I then noticed his whiskers were cut off. Very upset about this. His haircut is also terrible. I have to take him to another groomer to fix her mess. I asked her to fix it before I left saying it looked like he has a mullet. Owner told me that's how he should look. Terrible. read more

Just moved to Jersey & I cannot be happier that I found this place! I love the fact that they don't crate the pups unless they don't get along with the other animals. I hate knowing when I leave my little baby, he spends a hour or so waiting in a cage. Thor has really bad tears that make his face hair extremely hard and takes forever to clean. They did an excellent job cleaning him up and making him handsome. I showed the owner a reference picture and she nailed it. Btw the customer service is spectacular. I took our Zeus our 85+ lb Blue nose here and typically he's upset when he leaves any type of grooming facility, vet and doesn't like having his nails clipped. The place is immaculate, smells amazing, the prices are fantastic and the staff there truly cares about your family members. Our dog looks amazing, he's so happy and they treated him fabulous. My dog was groom so close he developed an infection. He could barely walk and wouldn't eat for almost a week. It took antibiotics, a cone and salve for 10 days to make him better. I felt horrible for my little guy. Do not recommend this place. read more

The business owner is super friendly, beautiful, and gives great customer service, which is why I fell in love with this place to begin with. She makes sure my Missy-Bella is perfect every time! Being new to the area I wasn't sure of any groomers in the area for our two pups. Bark Avenue Grooming was recommended to us by someone at the dog park. I called early in the week and was happy that they were able to take our dogs that weekend for much needed haircuts. The woman who answered the phone, whom I believe was the owner answered all my questions and explained what they offer. We chatted a bit about dogs and I knew right away that my dogs would be in good hands and that they genuinely care about the animals. When I arrived for their appointment I met the groomer who would be doing the pups haircuts. She made sure the pups were comfortable with her and asked me a few questions to make sure it was a happy and stressless experience for them. A few hours later I was called to pick them up and I have to say that it was the fastest turnaround time I've ever had with a groomer. They both looked great and were very relaxed and happy. Had the worst experience with this place today. Took my 100+lb German Shepard for the first and last time. Made an appointment a week in advance, told Lexi what i wanted, explained that my dog is huge and not the easiest to handle. It seemed like they're groomed many other big dogs from reviews and from what she told me so I decided to try it. When i brought my dog she told me a base price of $70, i expected some overcharge because of his size. It was only until after his wash that almost everything I wanted done (teeth, deshedding, ears) were ADDS ONS=$$$. She never told me how much would be added on before my appointment when i told her i wanted everything done. The surprising total of $110 was NOT the only problem. I took my dog home to see that he was shedding just as much as when i brought him to get groomed!!! Ears were NOT touched, fur was NOT shiny or soft, and some areas of his body were completely untouched, not even brushed through!!!! When i pick up my dog after 3 hours i expect him to be perfect or at least close, especially at that price. I called them after i inspected my dog and spoke to Lexi. She tried to blame me for not asking about pricing, when i did. Tried to blame my dog for being hard to deal with, which i warned her about. IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE A BIG DOG DO NOT CLAIM YOU CAN!!!! She said she tried her best but if your best was 50% of the job done then do not take on the job, I'm sorry. Did not even try to make things better by giving me a portion of my money back or anything. Said whats done is done, too late. VERY UPSETTING DO NOT RECOMMEND. If you have a small dog, they are probably ok. I'm going back to my old place which was an hour away, but my dog came back beautiful. read more

If I could give 100 stars I would. My sweet Bella has cancer and has been unable to get groomed until today. I was a nervous wreck on bringing her anywhere. She had not been groomed since September so this was a long over due cut. She was matted and a mess. Sandra the owner is the sweetest woman. She made me feel so comfortable brining my sweet Bella there. The place smells amazing and is SO CLEAN. Such a warm atmosphere. Sandra and Lexi asked so many important questions before they took her in. Never ever in the 11 years I have been bringing her to get groomed have I actually felt like a place really cared about the well being of my Bella. Usually whenever I would pick Bella up after being groomed at other places she would be stressed and panting like crazy. I walk in to pick her up and she is calmer then when I dropped her off. Totally chilled. They were so kind and gentle and made her look and smell absolutely beautiful! I will never bring my dogs to any other place! I expected Bella's bill to be quite high since she was a mess. Not the case at all! Prices are more than reasonable! Thank you Sandra and Lexi for taking such good care of my precious girl.
