My hair is a natural #4 and had NEVER been dyed before. After speaking with other cosmetologists, I was told the wrong color was used. When I went back to address the issue, I was told the only way to fix it was to bleach it or add more color, with no guarantee I'd get the color I originally requested. Ig cause they have a shop they can just be rude .. I came in and greeted the owner saying good morning and no response just stares. I guess they can talk to the old but not me. This other girl blow drys my hair all aggressively and the owner comes and grabs on my hair and blow drys it even more aggressively. I'm what many hairstylists call a chair hopper, which means someone who doesn't stay with one particular hair stylist. I feel that it's so many great and talented hairstylists in the Augusta area and I want to experience as many of them as I can. But I don't think I have gotten a bad reputation because I'm a hairstylist myself and I don't think many hairstylists count me as a faithful customer. Well one time in particular I needed a hairstyle quick, fast, and in a hurry. I had recent took the clippers to my head and had a moment where I wanted freedom from my hair. I had been wearing it in it's natural state for a few weeks. A friend of mine who is also a stylist suggested I get a relaxer and color it as well. Not being stuck to once hairstyle choice, I decided to take him up on the offer. The results were beautiful and I wore my hair like that for a while. Fast forward a few months, my current stylist wasn't listening to me when I say I didn't want my hair styled a certain way. He was doing what he wanted to do. Upset with the hairstyle, I stormed out of the salon and never looked back. That's where Unique Vision came into play. I had knew of the salon owners' work because we had worked together in another local salon years earlier. I knew they were great at short hair, especially Michelle. She wears her hair short and always has amazing styles. So I decided to call her up and set up an appointment. To my luck she was totally booked and could not take me that day, but her business partner, Melanie, was available. So I scheduled an appointment with her. I received an amazing hairstyle and she trimmed it up for me too. I'm all for this salon! They have been in business since the mid-2000's and they are still going strong. Melanie Taylor and Michelle Madison are both platform artists and educators for popular hair care brands. They have extensive knowledge in healthy haircare for all hair types and they both have creative minds to give great hairstyles each time. Melanie also works with a few celebrity clients on upcoming projects. They both have a great clientele of successful women and men in the CSRA. If you are looking for a new stylist or want to try something different I suggest them. I am fairly new to the area and wanted to find a great stylist. I am so happy that I gave UV a try. My hair was gorgeous and exactly what I wanted. I took my mom and little girl also. They were both very pleased with their hair. My 8 year old looked beautiful! The wait wasn't long and the atmosphere very relaxing. I went here for the first (and last) time yesterday. I'm fairly new to the area and have been searching for a hairstylist for a while now. I was really excited when I found this place. They had great reviews everywhere I looked. I guess I must have caught them on a bad day. I was very clear about what I wanted, snd even showed the stylist a picture of the style. Well, my hair looks NOTHING like what I requested. Nothing at all. I want to cry. I wanted to keep a little length, they chopped 6 inches off. I wanted layers, they're isn't a single layer anywhere. I wanted my hair thinned, she didn't thin it at all. I wound up with a bob cut. If I had wanted a simple, crappy hair cut, I could have easily thrown it up in a ponytail and lobbed it off myself. The style I had asked for was a cut I had had before, the picture was a photo of me with said haircut. So, it wasn't a a matter of "misunderstanding" between us, it was her doing what she wanted with no regards whatsoever to what I paid for. I was really excited about finding a place that I could keep coming back to, but ended up disappointed and sad. I traveled an hour to visit this salon. This salon gave me the worse experience with any hair salon I've been to. I set an appointment for 1:00pm, i got my hair washed and treated. After that, I didn't get in the chair to officially get my hair styled til 4:30pm! There was maybe 3 or 4 people that came in after me&got their hair finished and left.All I have to say is, I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS SALON EVER AGAIN! read more

Had an appointment for a shampoo and style. I arrived on time for my appointment but still had to wait an unreasonable amount of time even after the shampoo was done. I'm ok with waiting a few minutes but waiting over an hour is ridiculous and unprofessional. Additionally; the style was not worth the wait, something I could've done at home for free. read more

First and last appointment. I spoke to Melanie at length over the phone before making my appointment. I told her that my hair was extremely damaged and breaking off badly. Everyday my hair was shorter, more brittle and totally unmanageable. NOTE: DO NOT dark the door of Salon Hair Network (Myesha Cain) on Bobby Jones Expressway! Don't even go in that direction. Almost every woman coming out of Myesha's shop has thinning hair and has to have a "piece" glued in just to give volume and length. Anyway, I knew I needed a severe cut to get rid of the dead hair but I told Melanie both on the phone and when we talked before the service that I did not want to see my scalp. I did not want my hair faded or "balded". After waiting an hour and a half, I was summoned by the assistant and I had to explain everything to her, then later (again) to Melanie. Both of them got in their feelings about my insistence that Myesha damaged my hair by putting relaxer on my already relaxed hair. Melanie suggested that Myesha must have used a strong relaxer that was needed for my hair, but in the end, she and her assistant concluded that it was pretty much my fault - basically I was old, fat and sick. I had to be on some kind of medication, under stress, breathing. She was throwing shade the hold time. I showed Melanie 4 pictures of how I wanted the sides and back of my head/hair to look - short but not faded or bald. I said, "I do not want to see my scalp." I told her that I did not want the cut like a man's. So, what does Melanie do? She uses her clippers to save the back and sides like a dude's. I got up, looked in the mirror and wanted to cry when I saw the bald spot on one side. I pointed it out to the assistant, who'd looked at my hair, put her hands in it, and she said she didn't see a bald spot and it was just the way my hair grew. I asked, "did you see a bald spot when you looked at my just a few minutes ago?" She said that she didn't really look at my hair like that. A bald-faced liar. No pun intended. Then, Melanie came back in and co-signed on the lie. I should left then. I could've gone with the "style" I had after the fade and made the best of it because I still had the top. No, I let her relax my hair. No problem - yet, but she doubled down on fading me out and finishing balding the nape of my neck all the way across. I couldn't believe it. Know what she said? "I don't see a bald spot." The style is cut, but I've had plenty of cute styles. They wash out. This deliberate balding I'm forced to live with for a long time. My young daughter had an appointment for a shampoo, blow-dry and braiding of her own hair into a Mohawk style. She arrived on time for her scheduled appointment but still had to wait an unreasonable amount of time even after the shampoo and blow-dry was done before the braiding was even started. I'm ok with waiting a few minutes but waiting over an hour is ridiculous and unprofessional, especially when the end result wasn't even worth me walking into the HOUSE/SALON. The owner should know that once a client is in the chair then you should focus on the client only and not everyone else. Definitely wasn't worth $40, maybe $4. I would've been better off making an appointment with some random person doing my daughter's hair in their kitchen(at least there would've been satisfaction for less) Your website says that our vision becomes a reality, well my vision for my daughter to have a simple Mohawk was a disappointment, not a reality. read more
