Made an appointment to make a BIG cut and color for my hair and it was the BEST decision I ever made. I've been wanting to have my hair cut and colored short for awhile now but was scared to do so due to childhood haircut (bowl cut) trauma. Finally made the step to move forward after my December wedding. I heard so much about Tangles of Evans and decided to give it a shot. I did a little tease arch on the people who worked there and scheduled an appointment with Sabra Long. She is well known for doing fun and super artistic hair colors. I was impressed at how professional the place was and how well she catered to my wants and needs during the whole experience. She put my mind at ease through it all. A great hair salon in Evans. I passed by this place many times and often considered looking an appointment in advance to get my hair cut, however, I never made the plunge. Finally, one day I had enough and I called same day to ask, is there happen to be any type of availability. The hairstylist on the phone happened to have some free time and I was able to come in shortly after and receive a haircut. I was so pleased with my experience. She did exactly what I asked for and I did not find the price to be overwhelming. I enjoyed my experience having a friendly and fun conversation with my hairstylist without feeling like I had to talk too much or deal with impression management. There seem to be a lot of other women in the salon receiving various services, including eyebrow waxing. Overall, I will not be back there as I have moved away from the area, however, if I were living there, I would probably select this as my primary salon. Plus, it is nice that it is next to Aries Cheesecake and TakoSushi (lol). It is in a safe area and there is plenty of parking! read more

I use this store for a few years most for wash and blow dry , one time I got there 12 minutes late and they told me that get my hair done I was late in my appointment was canceled on that moment so I didn't like it, but I can't are important. So now make an appointment and they give me a 3 o'clock, which was good for my schedule I got to the store 510 minutes ahead to make sure I'm not late so the reception is telling me it will be 5 to 10 minutes, which is fine 30 minutes later nobody even came to me or contact me or talk to me so I for someone another lady told me yeah that would be the person do your hair, the lady didn't even and look at me. I explained that I was waiting for 30 minutes and my appointment was at 3 She kept working like with another person like nothing is they're not try to tell me or quote me when I was going to get my hair done so I guess wait five more minutes and then I left. it just ruined my afternoon, my schedule my nail appointment, I was waiting for this day three weeks I don't have so much time for myself. I did not complain when they did not took me in last time, because I do understand scheduling and no, I am not tolerant with bad customer service. read more

Katie was the stylist who attempted to do a Quidad cut. She informed me that the stylists at Tangles didn't get follow up education on cutting and styling curly hair. I had to go to another salon to have my hair cut again, to correct the poor cut completed by Katie. The stylist at the other salon uses my bad haircut as a teaching tool to show another stylist how to correctly cut curly hair. read more

I would not recommend this place for curly hair. The lady did not know how to style my hair or highlight curly hair. I've had my hair highlighted multiple times and never as bad as I've had done here. Plus lots of surprise charges at the end apparently washing out hair dye at the end of the service is extra 45$ will NEVER be returning here. read more

I've been getting my hair cut here for a year or two now and my experiences have gone slowly downhill. My main problem is that the stylists never seem very happy to work there. The stylist I used to see, who no longer works here, at least put forth effort to make conversation. The stylists I've seen since have not done the same. They're not overtly rude, but they aren't particularly friendly either. It makes for an awkward and silent 30-60 minutes. And with all that talking NOT going on, you start feeling bored and need something to settle your eyes on. If you happen to be lucky enough to be sitting in one of the chairs that faces the TV, you'll soon realize that the only thing playing is a 2 minute Kerastase commercial on loop. Tangles stylists do good work, but I'm starting to wonder if it's worth all the awkwardness. For a $50 trim & blow dry, I expect my service with a smile. **ETA: I've gone back once more, this time to see a new stylist. She did a great job and she was actually friendly. read more

I love this salon! I'm new to the area and was referred to Tangles by a friend. The inside is clean and stylishly decorated. They have a unique way of having you change into a smock. But if you've ever had a stylist stain your clothes with dye (which, has happened to me) then you understand that they just want to ensure that your shirt does not get ruined. Another difference is you actually go to a mixing bar where the color is made right in front of you. My stylist's name is Katie and she's absolutely lovely. She listens and takes her time to figure out exactly what you want. I dye my hair red and it can be difficult to find the perfect shade but she helped me and I love my hair!!! Ive never had so many compliments on my hair before!! Everyone there is so nice and the salon is beautiful. If you get the chance I highly recommend this salon!! read more

I love this salon! I will be moving to Texas in July and will truly miss this place, as well as Amy McDade who has been doing my hair for almost 2 years now. She listens to my concerns, makes changes as needed based on what I've told her, and when introducing me to a new hairstyle takes the time needed to teach me how to replicate it at home!!!:-) I'm always receiving compliments not only about the cut but color as well. This salon is waaaaay over priced and is not good to thier employees. Don't waste your money going here. I was charged 25.00 extra for what they called a "make up removal fee "...when in actuality all they did was hand me a rag and asked me to wipe my eyes off more to do my lashes....what a rip off! The salon owner is horrible to her employees which is why none of them are happy. The owner makes them sign a contract that states that they cannot work for any salon for 2 years after they leave ...how is someone supposed to make a living if they don't want to work there any longer!!!!???? read more

It appears the owner Tracy Gambrell has the stylists in fear of their job on a daily basis and will terminate for no reason at all. I have gone there for years but I have zero respect for people that bully their employees. I will no longer go there being she terminated my stylist that I really enjoyed. Amy McDade gave me a horrible haircut!! It seemed she was doing a decent job until she grabbed up a handful of hair on each upper side of my head & she started chopping into my hair like a mad woman- Amy claimed it was to thin out my thick hair. Guess what Amy - thick hair is a good thing to have!!!
