Always some decent options. The free alcohol options are decent. The "food" options vary from time to time and based on meal time. But the snacks I think are great. Can be chips, cookies, brownies, pretzels ect. I've never been when it's super busy, most times it's pretty calm and quiet in there. I think the club innterminal e is the best looking one at IAH. Lots of different seating options. Most areas with plenty of charging ports as well. The coffee/tea options are great too!

The Polaris Lounge is currently closed due to the pandemic. So, go to the United Club next door, and they will give you a card for the bar. Ride the escalators upstairs, use the well maintained toilets then plonk yourself in one of numerous semi private seating areas overlooking the aircraft parked outside the floor to ceiling windows. Then present that card to the peppy barkeep, who was Dina at the time. She offered some amazing topshelf drinks for the card. I went with a splash of Glenlivet 12. A smooth, aromatic prelude to my longhaul flight later. Packaged snacks during the pandemic--the most substantial being cup noodles. No outside food, but pretty good options not far away near E5.

The good news about ALL of the United Clubs is that they have a service desk that can take care of flight related issues so you don't have to contact their Customer Service in a third world country. I wasn't able to book seats at home without paying for them because I purchased my tickets in a package deal from a resort and flights were included. No problem, the United Club Rep booked my other flight seats at no charge. Each Club has clean restroom facilities and food. Mind you, the food at the low budget hotels will be better than the United Club locations. The bread and pastries are always cold and bland. For example, the croissants should be the butter type, here they taste like hard stale bread. It's not worth purchasing a day pass, but to visit complimentary due to the United Mileage Card is fine. The positive from every United Club are the friendly bar tenders and free drinks!

A nice space to break away from the busy hustle of the terminal. The veggies were fresh and the ladies were on top of keeping things replenished. While it seemed very busy, there were still places to sit with available power outlets. The bar staff were awesome. Very friendly.

Just a short update. Nothing special in the food department. Really unassuming. The coffee machine was nice, by the coffee temp was just warm and I like my coffee hot. Also, a clarification, one review stated there are no restrooms, but there are clean and nice restrooms.

We had a short layover from Houston to London so we stopped by the lounge for an hour. The ladies (greeters) in the front were sweethearts and made the check-in process smooth and easy. For some reason, it was really busy that day we were there. However, we still got 2 alcoholic beverages, found 2 seats and relaxed. The WiFi wasn't really working for me, which was fine because we met another fellow traveler and we chit-chatted the entire stay. Time flew by! Overall, the entire lounge was clean and well-stocked.

I've been to quite a few United Clubs at various airports across the country and they are all very similar in their offerings. Snacks, full bar, soups and internet. But boy is it busy and this is a very common theme with them all. People vying for chairs food drinks. They need more space or something. United clubs used to be relaxing away from the hum drum of the airport concourses but, I'm thinking maybe not worth coming in here anymore. Children everywhere crying screaming etc. maybe I'm not as tolerant as I once was. They make such a big deal of entering the United lounge and once your in here, you are perplexed as to what the big deal is. I guess it's better than waiting at the gate.. the fun & Tonic is always welcome.

I'll admit it now. I'm a tiiiiny bit spoiled. The average person may not be so critical but having been to many better lounges I can't help but compare. I felt this was maybe slightly above average FOR UNITED but overall a pretty mediocre and disappointing lounge. Here are the highlights: Shower with philosophy products and complimentary clothing press, tea/free house wine and some beer, and spaciousness. The low lights: everything else. * HOURS - 3 STARS: Standard hours. Those listed on yelp are incorrect, they are open Mon-Sun 5am-11:30pm. There are no other lounges open earlier than 5, but if I arrived later based on reviews the KLM lounge (opens 7am) looks far superior. * FOOD - 1.5 STARS: Breakfast is continental. Probably one of the saddest attempts with fruit (red/green apples and bananas), grocery store pre-packaged bagels (cinnamon raisin, plain), donut holes (powdered sugar and chocolate), low quality non-fat strawberry and raspberry yogurt, cereal (plain off brand Cheerios or granola). Little things could have easily elevated the food without much added cost - Greek yogurt, honey, anything warm, sliced veggies/carrots and dip, miso soup, another cereal, bars, cookies, salami... * DRANKS - 3.5 STARS: Their non alcoholic beverage selection is standard but has highlights like ghiradelli hot chocolate mix, multiple types of tea (Numi organic, Ceylon), 1 house complimentary red and white wine. Premium liquor costs extra. Alcohol served after 7am Mon-Sat and after noon on Sunday. My rating is somewhat on the liberal side given numerous other lounges have beer on tap, a full hard liquor spread self-serve. * FACILITIES - 4 STARS: Spacious. Conference rooms. Showers. With Philosophy shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Complimentary clothing press until 9:30pm. It's comfortable but a bit dated, however served the basic wifi and outlet needs. Office cube space and conference rooms if you care.

Located in Terminal E this is a very nice United Club lots of room, great staff lots of perks that makes traveling a little less painful. I'm in and out of a lot of airports throughout the year and this one ranks high as United Clubs go. As with all airlines United is capitalizing on every opportunity to increase their revenue, saying that and being a club member that renews my club membership yearly I see these club getting more and more crowded with the introduction of the $50 day pass which is a real bargain if you look at the cost to snack and drink in the terminals, a few cocktails outside the club more than covers the cost of a day pass so I would buy the day pass too as more and more infrequent travelers now do ( the secret to travel is out lol ). As the popularity grows the original intention of these clubs are getting diluted for the business traveler example lots of kids running around, much noisier atmosphere, less space to relax or work. Being it's a popular choice I suggest they double the cost of the day pass to $100. This could decreased the amount of infrequent traveler by as much as 50% the income from the days passes would stay the same but their expenses would greatly decrease less staffing required, less cleaning, less food and drink cost, etc. So enjoy this perk at the discount rate while it last you know some accountant in a small office somewhere in the United system will propose this to his boss who will be made a VP for taking credit for this idea. :-)

Bananas and bird seed for food.

It's a 50 dollar charge for a one day pass, but I think it's worth it if you have a long layover or delayed flight.

During busy hours the wait can be up to 10 minutes. I recommend just leaving the lounge to use the bathroom. ~2pm: Waited for two hours to get in. The attendant at the front kept giving different times, citing the boarding of the KLM flight. This was incredibly frustrating and not even worth it, because there was no hot food and the space was mediocre. There was a quinoa salad, turkey&cheese sandwiches, cold bread rolls (with fancy butter though!), bananas, and chips. ~6am: Got in immediately and was pretty happy with the breakfast selection. There was warm toast, guacamole, sliced boiled eggs, pancakes, and an oatmeal bar. The lounge was pretty busy though, so I had to wait a while to use the bathroom. I actually slept in the lounge for an hour and it wasn't the worst. Overall, I'd recommend coming only during a time when they accept priority pass. If they say "come back later", just find another place to go to. It's not worth waiting around for.

I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if I happened to be at the airport early and had some time to kill, it was maybe $15-20 saved in free basic food and straightforward to get to especially with the post-security air tram.

Turned out to be a great decision. The Polaris Lounge was clean, well appointed and quieter. But, the best part was the service. Stephanie welcomed us and when I asked for some guidance, kindly explained how everything worked, where the food was, bathrooms, etc. She arranged for wheelchair service to pick us up and we found a spot to sit and relax. Unfortunately, the seats, while mid century modern beautiful were med century modern incredibly low. We did find some chairs at a table that were more comfortable Thomas helped us clean up a small mess, very graciously and professionally. He also provided additional friendly guidance but in a very helpful way. Eating was a bit of the a challenge but thankfully, every dish was labeled for potentially problematic ingredients! Awesome! All the entrees contained dairy. So, I got some salami, cranberries, sunflower seeds and roasted beans. It went well with my lame stomach and I enjoyed several servings during our multi hour wait. Jason, the chef, came out and served vegan beans and carnitas along with various fixings. He was very helpful working around dietary restrictions and friendly also. Coffee was Italian Lilly brand which makes very nice espresso. I wouldn't say we are experts but this was a very nice lounge experience! Thanks United Polaris! I am trying to put 2025 behind me and I am starting off the year with a trip. To my surprise we were blessed with an upgrade of which I am forever grateful and we got access to the Polaris Lounge. What a wonderful place to kick back and relax before a long flight! I've only been in the regular United Club up to now, and I have always been curious. They are similar, but a lot less crowded. There is plenty of cozy seating with different options from tables to lounge chairs. There is a buffet like the regular United Club, with snacks and drinks. Plus, there is a bar. In addition to the items like the regular Club, there is a sit down restaurant inside as well where you can order off a special menu if you don't want to go to the buffet (no worries, no extra cost). Moreover, just about all the seating areas have a charging station (of course, if you sit at a regular table there isn't any). The staff is super friendly from the time you check in to the time you leave. They make you feel seen and special. If you have access, I highly recommend to take advantage and relax...even for a few minutes. Thank you United for helping me to hopefully have a better year ahead.

I asked if we could simply pay for the popcorn, but she said payment wasn't the issue -- they just didn't have enough food. What confused me was that there were no posted signs explaining item limits or any guidance about restrictions. Clear communication upfront would have prevented the misunderstanding. We also asked if we could use the microwave and were told no again, which added to the frustration. We donated $25 during our visit, and when I mentioned it, we were told that donation funds cannot be used to purchase additional food. That was surprising to hear. When the shift changed, the new volunteers were very polite and welcoming. However, by that point we felt uncomfortable and chose to leave without escalating the situation. We truly appreciate what the USO does for service members and families, which is why this experience was especially disappointing.
