United dairy farmers is a chain of gas stations that also has ice cream parlors inside them. This one located in Florence Kentucky. My family and and some family friends was headed back from a day at the Newport aquarium back to Lousiville when our friend had told us about these chains that we don't have in Lousiville so we decided to check them out. I mean a gas station/Ice cream parlor combo? We don't have those in Lousiville but we were intrigued by the concept. The parlor is legit a full fledged Ice cream front that offers serval flavors, cone types, sundaes and shakes. For some reason I was expecting like 3-4 flavors and a small area. They actually had there own little area with dining room tables as well. Between my family of 7 and our friends who is a family of 6 we sampled the flavors pretty well. We got everything from a banana split to ice cream flavors of mint chocolate chip, cookies and cream, mocha, cotton candy and peanut butter. We all mainly stuck to a two scoop cone which was massive. They do some friendly sized scoops and stack them high. All of us were satisfied with our ice cream choices and enjoyed them. I personally got a the mint chocolate chip with a chocolate dipped cone. Very good and very filling. Overall what a cool concept. Had a full service gas station and mini mart that shared the space and the employees. It would be cool to see this franchise ventures down the road 90 minutes or so here to Lousiville. read more

UDF has a warm spot in my heart from my childhood. We would go to UDF for ice cream and malts and to get magazines and cheap toys. It's typically not the cleanest, but hey, the ice cream is great. So when I had a chance to stop by a UDF when visiting family in Florence, I was so happy. There was only one clerk working, which she made very known when she told us we would be waiting for a bit. But attitude aside, it was clear she was working as fast as she could. And my chocolate malt was like I remembered. Sweet with a slightly thicker texture. I might even get it thicker, an option, wherever I go back. Want ice cream instead? 10-year-old me would recommend the Superman flavor, which happily is still offered. read more

Apparently, the location on William Haines in Florence, Kentucky does not like their customers. I went in on my way home to pick up a few things and the clerk there was extremely rude. I asked for two packs of Camel light and he looked me in the eye and said "no", then he stood there and waited for a response. I said "why". He got my cigarettes while explaining that people normally just accept when he tells them no and never ask why. Then he said " you're different and that's not a good thing". I said "what?" He said " well I don't know you so you might be a good person". Then he repeated that I might be a good person two more times placing emphasis on MIGHT. To that I paid for my cigarettes and left. I was so angry I couldn't even look at this persons name tag. He has short brown curly hair, he was wearing a blue shirt and had a cross hanging out of his shirt. I am not sure why anyone thinks it ok to speak that way to costumers much less try to refuse to sell them things for no apparent reason. read more

This is probably the worst gas station I have ever been in. I went in tonight to get a shake. After being made to wait several minutes a surly cashier came over and I told her what I wanted. She turned to make it but after a few moments told me the shake machine was down. There was no signage to indicate this so I basically wasted my time. I would advise you not to waste your time either at this dumpy gas station. read more

This review is for the new UDF location in Union KY. Visited today with my grandson for an ice cream and took 20 minutes to get served even though there were 4 employees around not doing much. Everyone seemed so confused on what to do. Also no instruction that you need to use the iPad to place your order. Obviously UDF doesn't believe in training its employees very well. read more

It's UDF. Cincinnati goes here for malts, peanut butter of course. You run in here when you need a jug of milk. Stop and fill up your car with gas. It's a convenience store. Mop the floors a little more, make it sparkle a little and you'll get a higher rating. read more

As usual, with UDF, ice cream and malts and shakes are the best, however, when it comes to service, it leaves a lot to be desired. I went in last night and asked the very young attendant for a shake with oreos, she tells me that she has to warn me by law that the oreos shake I had requested is a choking hazzard and to drink it at my own risk!!!!!!!!!!!! I LMAO in front of her. Thank goodness for the warning, I did not choke, I was very careful, I even dared ask for a spoon! read more
