What an important business! Makes me happy to see that they're expanding, as I believe proper firearm training is so important!! (Specially Now, having gone through a year with UDT) The membership is definitely an investment that for some may not be affordable, but my husband and I find the value and our time spent to be well worth it! Now we look forward to starting every weekend with UDT! Instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and talented! I have so much respect for what they do! At first this definitely can be intimidating, but they hold the training with a high standard for excellence, understandably so! Piece of advice: Once registered , Make sure you are clear on how the classes work as time slips by and it's easy to forget to book! The front desk staff are super friendly and super helpful getting you booked up ahead of time.

I signed up for a free 90 minute training class and so happy that I did. This location is tucked away a bit but it is easy to find and parking is right out front. I checked in with Taylor who is super friendly and welcoming. My class instructor was Jacob. He was informative, patient, and comprehensively answered all my questions. Although he taught defensive tactics and situational awareness, he also emphasized deescalation. In doing so, it was a great reminder to control your emotions when facing a harrowing situation. Other important takeaways I learned are to create space using verbal commands and movement along with assessing different levels of threat. Despite having different pricing plans and payment options for the several services they provide, I did not feel pressured to buy which I very much appreciated. To be clear, I did not purchase a membership and my review is only based on my free training class experience. They also offer other complimentary classes (see photo). At minimum, check out one of their monthly classes to get a personal take if their facility and trainers are a right fit for you.

Came here for the free training advertised to just try it out. We had no prior firearm experience and the key point of this facility is using simulating real life so you're not just shooting at a target but interacting with possible firearm situations. We each went through a simulation where we were taught deescalation and when to shoot tactics as well as a basic stance/hold. It's perfect for training for a concealed carry and the goal is to develop muscle memory for high stress situations. I was a bit worried about pushiness, but our instructor Marcus saw our experience level and intent and did not push anything on us. He was very respectful and still taught the session to the fullest potential, which was a rewarding experience for someone who never held a gun/ what to learn in an adrenaline high environment. Not a shooting range**, has parking, no real firearms. Expect to go in with laser simulated guns and go through a single scenario each where the instructor debriefs. They have bathrooms and water and you can tour the facility. Overall, a smooth process and I learned a lot!

Absolutely the best place if you want to learn how to defend yourself, the trainer Scott is so professional and guide us through the process, explained everything we need to know as an introductory class. They are giving you a class free if you are willing to commit the class value is $250 per hour per person. A big gift, Im so grateful for that. And they have simulators to help you understand in what case you get to defend yourself, what's legal, and what's not. The place is hughe with a lot of tools, they have also other choices to learn as jiu-jitsu, and others with tools, they teach you how to handle them, my class was amazing and yes my daughter and I signed for the package, there's packages to choose from. There's plenty of parking on the street. Scott is the best trainer for sure and I highly recommend this place.

I was impressed with how much they have to offer. Jon contacted and coordinated with me regarding the complimentary training session. Scott trained my mom and I and did an amazing job teaching us. You can notice their level of skills, experience and professionalism right away. They're patient and down to earth. I have a bit of experience but my mom didn't and we left learning a lot in just one session! Highly recommend this place.

    Simulator for better training.

The facility was clean, organized, and they even provided food and drinks, which made the class much more comfortable. One of the biggest reasons I chose Elite CCW is that they are truly ADA accessible. As a wheelchair user, finding a training facility that is accessible and accommodating can be difficult. The staff went above and beyond to assist me throughout the entire process and made sure I felt welcome and supported. Having both the classroom training and shooting range at the same location made everything convenient and stress-free. Mike, Bailey, and Edwin were excellent instructors. They were knowledgeable, professional, patient, and took the time to answer questions and share valuable information. I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge from all of them. What impressed me most was how helpful and accommodating everyone was. In my experience, Elite CCW is probably the best option for wheelchair users or anyone in particular male or female looking to complete their CCW training or any firearm training I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a professional, welcoming, and accessible CCW and Firearm training experience.

My partner inherited a gun from grandpa several years ago and recently purchased a Glock for protection. I was involuntarily enrolled in a class by said partner. We met with Jesse from ShootSocal and just finished our class earlier this evening. I can confidently say I am much more comfortable with handling firearms after today. I'm still not going to run off and buy a gun of any sort. The class equipped me with the knowledge and understanding of responsible gun handling I never saw myself reach. After the education portion and handling of our unloaded Glock for 2 hours, we headed downstairs to put theory into practice. While obviously *very* loud, Jesse was really great at reassuring us at what we were doing, congratulating us at our success, and clearly putting a nice spin on our failures. Very important to add: our class was supposed to only be two hours. But after a slow-moving education period (we asked a lot of questions) Jesse still made it a point to help us at the actual gun range for almost a full extra hour. If you're new to firearms and want to learn, I cannot recommend this place any more.

Then we went down to lane 18 for hands-on training. Shot about 100 rounds -- my instructor helped me zero in both my iron sights and a red dot with magnifier I installed on my AR. Everyone there seemed to be expert firearms owners, which is a good thing vs. people who are unsafe and not following safe usage guidelines (I've heard other ranges in L.A. County allow newbies on the range without instruction -- not a good idea for obvious safety reasons). I also like that they have a lounge area where people who are not shooting can still look through thick glass/plexiglass and be safe doing it. Also, they provide a sink and soap so you can wash your hands afterwards (hint: you don't want gunpowder or other after-effects of shooting on your hands should law enforcement pull you over for another reason). You can rent a lane by the hour ($25/hour). No reservations so first come, first served. Will definitely be going back here for more practice. Recommended!

It sounded like they made special accommodations for myself and some other shooters, by opening up the "tactical" range, since there were no members shooting at that time.
