I had my 71 hearse towed in for some brake work. I was quoted $1750 to fix the brakes. They wanted…read moreto replace both rear wheel cylinders, master cylinder, both front rotors, and calipers and I was providing the brake shoes and pads. I asked why everything in the front needs replaced and the owner said "the calipers aren't releasing as quickly as they should and the pads are wearing a groove in both of the front rotors." After confirming that the front is at least working, we agreed on replacing the rear wheel cylinders, that I knew were blown out, and the master cylinder that they said was leaking, but I'm having trouble believing. I checked for leaks around the master cylinder and booster before I took it to the shop and everything was dry. This work was quoted $800. All 3 parts total $85 from Rock Auto shipped so I'm having trouble figuring out why it's $800 to fix it. After 6 days in the shop they called and gave me a hour to pick it up. I had to hurry to get there in time before they closed to pay for it and later that night get dropped off again to drive it home. Later I did my own inspection of the front rotors and they're perfectly fine and smooth as glass. The groove he was referring to is a groove that's purposely designed to be there from the factory. It's on both sides of each of the rotors. I'm no professional but even I can figure that out. I'm surprised he didn't say anything about having to replace the front inner and outer wheel bearings since he wanted to replace the rotors. The bearings have to be replaced if this style of rotor get replaced. It also doesn't make any sense to not replace the old brake hoses if he wanted to replace the calipers but he said nothing about wanting to replace brake hoses. I think they missed every aspect when it comes to trusting someone working on your car. Missed diagnosed, over charging on parts and labor, not knowing of other parts that would've needed replaced, 6 days to replace 2 wheel cylinders and a master cylinder on an easy to work on classic car, no questions could be answered or warranty information after the work was done... etc. etc.

Many people recommended this place but I can't understand why. My wife took her 4Runner in for a…read morescheduled oil change, check trans fluid, tire rotation. The bill was slightly higher than the same service at the Toyota house. She thought, fine, give the local guy the business. Down side is they didn't do the trans check or rotation, didn't say anything about them, she thought it was fine. After reading the bill I called the own for explanation. "I've been getting yeld at all day.....Too busy to do the full service and oil is expensive". That's just poor business, I'd like to believe it's not because a woman brought it in. A bigger concern is that he didn't know anything oil requirements or factory service intervals for Toyota. Took five hours to figure out. Probably fine on older vehicles, but short on technical work.

Don't ever confuse being furious with being difficult! First LIE; Shawn, Bill & Shawn Jr ALL proudly shared with me the new 30K Engine Analyzer they had & would be using to diagnose the reason for the SERVICE ENGINE SOON warning dash light coming on. Second LIE; Yes THAT SERVICE ENGINE SOON is the correct light that was on & the reason I brought my mother's car in. Shawn was aware THAT was the warning dash light that was lit & he even reset it following their unneeded service. Not a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. Third Lie; I DID NOT MOVE ANY BARREL blocking your carwash entrance & for you to accuse me of doing that is beyond ridiculous. If Shawn is such an honest guy, as you initially touted to me, he would have told you HE MOVED THAT BARREL & then told me to drive in & he'd start the carwash. It never started, not one drop of water was ever released. Shawn even apologized to me saying he was sorry he didn't realize it was not working. I was even told to come back in the Springtime for a free wash. I hope my reviews give future potential customers pause before taking their vehicle to your service center. Again with the false accusations. Any still pictures you claim to have of "a woman moving your barrel" is not me. Ask Shawn, IF he's the honest guy you say he is, he'll tell you the truth, HE MOVED THAT BARREL. YOU however are the height of an unprofessional businessman. Funny how when you texted me pleading with me to bring the car back you stated "I'm not like those other guys, I'm professional & I just want to make it right for you" HA AND by calling a dissatisfied customer a "Karen" immediately identifies you as a immature & hateful MAGA, certainly NOT ANY KIND OF PROFESSIONAL!

At the time, I was rebuilding my credit, my vehicle couldn't wait that process out, though. I needed a vehicle, and tried multiple places with no one willing to work with me. I walked into Deery with low expectations. I told them what I needed and what my situation was up front. I filled out some paperwork after selecting a vehicle at the suggestion of the salesman (this isn't bad. He listened and his suggestion was perfect and in-budget!), and left thinking, "well, nice thought, probably a waste of time". I got a call the next day. He said "We got you approved! Come pick your car up!". I was amazed. No one else was willing to do anything for me. Not any small dealers, not any other big ones. Deery was able to do it, and they did so without making me feel awkward about my situation or simply shuffling me out the door like the others. Which is good for them, as they're now my first choice now that my credit is great, and I have a bigger budget. Sucks to be the guys that turned me down. Remember, that person in a rough spot may not have bad credit forever. ;)

The so-called 120-point inspection didn't seem to mean much--no spare tire, jack, tools, or owner's manual, plus a broken sunroof and burned-out daytime running lights. When I asked about fixing the sunroof, I was told the $250 discount covered that and to take it to a Mercedes dealer if I wanted it working. Overall, it felt like we were doing them a favor by buying. The salesman didn't bother to figure out how to adjust the seats and acted like our time was up, quickly moving on to bigger buyers.
