    Short version: Good…read moreplace. Use them. Long version: I thought I'd already reviewed these guys at least a year ago. We had just moved from Texas, were living a hotel until our house was closed on, and no matter how well behaved kids are that is extremely stressful. Then, on top of it all, the van needed the oil changed and had A Noise. It was still halfway packed with road stuff for six kids, three cats and two adults of questionable sanity. So I go in, my last nerve so frayed so I am speaking in monosyllables, I haven't slept properly for a week and I'm packing a very needy baby and not only are we clearly from out of town, we're from the far side of the country. The guy at the counter took care of us like I was a long lost cousin. Pointed out some possible issues that would be way in the future, assured me that Noise was not something horrible, double checked that I understood we were doing something or other earlier than it really needed. (some kind of a filter, I think? Like I said, I was *OUT* of it) Generally acted like I was a regular, dependable customer. Not somebody who appeared to be on a long and very much unenjoyable road trip. Man were they surprised when I showed back up in a few months with Iowa plates. We've been taking our cars to them ever since, and I really appreciate how they'll actually explain things if you show the slightest interest. The attached picture is when I took my husband's commuter car in because the fan was making "a funny noise." (Also give really good advice that prevents serious issues in the future.) How good are they? When my parents were visiting and had A Noise in their big old pickup, this is where I sent them. If they'd done anything wrong, I'd be hearing about it every single holiday and family reunion until the end-times.

I chose this place because I had seen it had decent reviews.I called called and the guy on the phone said they were able to get my truck for service in two days. When I arrived, the guy at the front was snarky and made a comment that I was 3 hours late and they were not going to be able to look at it today. I explained that there must have been a mix-up as I was told 11:00 and they had me down for 8:00. But I said no problem, and told them I would come in for whatever they had available next week. So I came back and they looked at it and told me my AC accumulator would need replaced and they had everything torn apart they would just need to go get the part and they would have it done in a few hours. The manager showed me the estimate which I felt was pretty high. The total for everything was $446.64 and that was to replace the broken part and charge air. I specifically asked him why the part was $114.54 and the labor was $73.50 to install just that part when the part alone is at a part store for $40. And yes, I am aware that there is a bit of a markup on parts but this is the highest markup I have ever seen. He had stated that they have to pay that price for the part and that it is always more than what you can get at a part store which of course I had already acknowledged, but almost three times more I felt is very high. I don't know if this is normal or if it is because I am a woman and they just assumed that they could tell me a price and I would pay it. I told them I was not going to go ahead with the service and I left. I ended up calling Heartland Tire and Auto down the road and they took great care of me and they charged me $163.36 less! I will post the estimate/bill from both businesses.

    Extremely incompetent mechanics unfortunately and caused more problems than I had when I first…read morebrought the car to them. They replaced my transmission back in november and had to bring the car back 2 more times for issues related to this. Even after 3 total trips they still could not fix the problem and I brought it to another shop. They miss things like properly securing bolts back into place on very important parts on the car. The condition they would give the car back to me was insane (all 3 times) with grinding noises, not shifting into park, etc and the 3rd time, I had to have the steering wheel completely turned 90 degrees to drive straight. It's like they don't even test drive them after the work is done... On top of this, I can't even count how many times we were told "Should be done today" or "should be done tomorrow" and it took another week. Terrible communication, terrible quality of work. Would HIGHLY recommend avoiding.

The guy at the counter pulled it back in and topped off the oil and realized that the technician also put the wrong weight of oil in. Instead of correcting the problem, the guy at the front desk told me that it would be fine. My vehicle is under a factory warranty and it states the wrong weight of oil will void the factory warranty. I filled out the online survey and requested to be contacted but nobody has reached out to me. This was also the most expensive oil change that I have ever paid for.
