The guys up front saw me looking through the craft brews and launched into telling me all about some different breweries and making recommendations. I told them about a couple of beers I have been specifically hunting for & they gave me their opinions on them, plus told me about beers with similar tastes that they thought were better. The outsides are so moist and soft, the insides PACKED with japchae, pork, and chives or red bean paste, and the size is that of almost my own pumpkin sized head. The parking lot was a little interesting to navigate, with a lot of one directional driving, but there was ample parking. Having a separate entrance to the food court from the market was also interesting! I went in the market entrance, thinking that it might connect to the food court, but alas, it does not. The food court is laid out in what I believe is an efficient manner. (I'm trying to imagine what it would look like on an extremely busy day!). The space has a good number of seats (Hooray for eating dumplings inside in a Chicagoland winter!), and the staff at the dumpling stand were very friendly and efficient. The market itself had lots of options on products and my daughter is usually able to find what she is looking for for herself as well as her friends as gifts! My husband has been taking such good care of me since I've been home recovering from surgery, so I wanted to bring him home a little something special to say thank you and why not get him his favorite beer, Duvel? He originally tried Duvel when we were in the city to watch a University of Michigan game at a bar on the Northside and ever since has been a fan of this stuff. (Stocking stuffer idea? You betcha!) It's a lighter beer and has a high alcohol content so one beer is just perfect for him to enjoy. I haven't really been out of the house until a few days ago, but decided to stop here on my way home from work this past Friday to see if they carry his beverage of choice. I have never been here before, but due to the size of the store, I figured, they had to carry it. I rarely go to a liquor store, so I just walked in and asked if they carry Duvel and the gentlemen behind the counter looked up and thought about it for a second, and gestured to me to follow him. He walked right up to it and pointed it out to me on the shelf. $16.99 for the 4 pack. Pretty much what they charge at any liquor store I have been to, including Binny's. So I grabbed a 4 pack and walked up to the counter to pay. The same gentleman rang me up and gave me my total....ah! he speaks! I did get a 'thank you' out of him and I told him to 'enjoy his weekend'. The store was a little on the dirty side, but I haven't really been to any liquor stores in a strip mall that aren't dirty, so that's not a big surprise. I glanced at the end caps on my walk up to the counter and they don't appear to really have any great deals to make you want to shop here. It's your standard strip mall liquor store when you can grab a pack of cigarettes, a lottery ticket, a bottle of whiskey and a case of beer. It would have been nice to see a store owner that takes pride in their business and maybe a friendly smile or greeting when you walk in. Nothing really attracting me to shop here again unless absolutely necessary. I think Jewel might carry Duvel, just a little more of a walk to the liquor department.

They are obviously open and have seating inside and then during summer they actually open a part of their exterior wall like a garage door and there's also barstool type seating there as well so you can enjoy the great weather and the sun while still drinking whatever you purchased from them. They have an incredible selection in the store and every single time I walk in here whoever is working is super friendly and super helpful. I will say when you walk in it's not really straightforward because you can buy things and take it home buy things and drink it there or they even have beers on tap as well at the big counter. Every time I come in here, there's always people as well no matter what the weather is and it's great to see.
