I am certain that few women go in there unaccompanied. Everyone was respectful, but there must have been 40 laborers (male) in there happily buying beer on payday. When I got to the register, the prices were different than what was advertised on the shelf. I pointed this out to the owner/manager and he said that these were the old prices and I told him that he could not do that and that he needed to change the prices , or honor the prices that were on the shelf. He also tried to tell me that that was because of taxes. I told him I did not care for the way he was doing his business and left.

It's funny that I lived my whole life in Schaumburg but had never really visited until recently. I was on my way to a friend's BBQ and Sportman's was super convenient. I like that I can go there, ask the friendly owners where to find what I'm looking for, get it and get out in under 5 minutes. This is my go-to-pre-party-spot when in the burbs now! Liquor stores have a 20 to 30 per cent markup on products which is how they have stayed in business so long while customers either buy their products or choose to go purchase beer some place else. The people there are not the friendliest people on earth. I suspect this is a family business trying to make a decent living.
