Yum!! We tried Tang in the market which is towards the back and it was fantastic. I got the japchae and I loved it. Lots of good flavor throughout and I also enjoyed the spicy cucumbers on the side. My husband got the beef short rib soup and also really loved it. The broth tasted like it had been cooking for hours because of the amount of flavor within it. We had enough leftover for another 1-1.5 days. Also not bad pricing for the amount of food provided!

A large grocery store offering a huge selection of Asian products. On a cold Saturday the parking lot was full, but there is plenty of parking. There were many customers and most aisles were congested. The produce department is very large and items seemed fresh. They also had a variety of fresh seafood. The food court has a separate entrance and very busy. If looking for a wide variety of Asian food, this is the place.

Love Joong Boo. I have taken home some of the freshest seafood and produce from this Schaumburg loc. Of course I will always stop by the food hall for crispy katsu, bibimbop, bulgogi burger, Korean cheesesteak, and lots and lots of dumplings...also, I'm starting to look like one. This location is far more convenient for me and I certainly don't feel like it is lacking from the OG store. It is plenty spacious, well-lit, and there is ample parking.

Very enjoyable! Didn't spend much time in the actual market, but it was huge. Look forward to returning to check out more later. The restaurants next door are incredibly convenient and have a wide array of options. Got some shrimp and pork dumplings, portions were great and filling, would definitely have again. Appreciated cashier's consideration and patience answering questions about menu. Can't wait to go back.

This Korean centric Asian grocery store is a great place to find Asian food items and produce. Some items you could find in the produce section includes Chinese eggplant $0.99/lb, Enoki mushroom $0.99/package, Chinese broccoli $4/lb, and Yu Choy $2/lb. Their sauce section includes selection from various countries including China, Vietnam and Thailand. They have a huge selection of instant ramen and cup ramen. They also have their weekly special ad online. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

I look forward to shopping at Joong Boo when I'm in Schaumburg. I particularly love the fresh vegetables available. The meat and fish are no slouches. This is the only grocery I will buy sushi at. Everyone is helpful, especially the fishmongers. Need a yellow croaker. They have it. How about live abalone. They have that too. Some of the best stuff that's not just Korean. Most of the aisles are wide and easy to find items. People can navigate easily through and around. I can't say the same for many Asian markets. This is why I return here again and again despite it being an hour from where I live.

We had time to go check out this Korean grocery store by my hotel. Right off Golf Road, and big parking lot. The grocery store is big with a foodhall on the right side and separate entrance. Store is clean, well organized, lots of variety of groceries. Cashiers were friendly and fast. Foodhall was preparing to open when I went to check it out.

The food court is open now! There's a separate entrance on the far right when heading in from the parking lot, so the grocery section isn't directly connected to the food court--you have to go back through the entrance to get to either side. That's kind of inconvenient, but I get it. On a Saturday afternoon at lunchtime it was pretty packed, but we were still able to find a table. There are lots of seats and a bunch of food stalls. Loved how clean it was and it's pretty easy to order at the kiosks. It's a fun lively vibe overall. We got kimbap from the joongboo wang mandu place in case the kids wouldn't eat anything else. Solid staple that you can't go wrong with--rice, carrots, spinach, pickled daikon and burdock root, egg, fish cake all rolled into a neat little seaweed roll. What's not to like? Tang had ogani tang (ox knee soup which is tendon). The tendon was cooked so well! Tender and soft. The broth was creamy. It came with 3 different banchan. My kids loved it. A little pricer than other options, but split between 1 adult and 2 kids I'd say it's worth it! So nice to have it here now! My husband got kimchi fries with bulgogi from the K Grill place I think. This was really good too! Fun pick. Can't wait to try more!

We were in search of a drink called Mogu Mogu and I asked around work and I was directed to Joong Boo Market by a co-worker. She also mentioned that they had a food court. Joong Boo Market is a grocery store where you can get all types of Asian food, snacks, vegetables, etc. The store is setup like a typically grocery store. Prices are decent and are a little cheaper than the typical little Asian store. What I liked about this experience is that we were able to get some dinner from the food court. They had restaurants that served Korean Fusion type sandwiches, something similar to an Italian beef but worth Korean type meats. They had Bimbibap, pho, Korean, to name a few types of food. Maybe between 5-7 restaurants. We ended up getting Korean Buns w/ Red Beans, Tteok-bokki (rice cakes) and Bimbibap. The buns were delicious and it was a pretty good size. I like big buns - the food. lol. The rice cakes were cooked perfectly and had a nice softness to it. It was flavorful and spicy. The Bimbibap was filling and the rice and sauce was very good. By the way, we did get the Mogu Mogu drinks. We got the Pink Guava that had fruit pieces it in.

I've had K GRILL, gimbap and now chicken ginseng soup from the food court and the best has to be KGRILL. not pictured sadly. the service at the counter wasn't as friendly as the other places. definitely wish they'd be more attentive with that but the food was great! best joong boo location in IL, it's very clean and the store workers are very sweet.

Really incredible place for Korean food. They have a food court with multiple really good Korean restaurants. In addition, the grocery store is huge and chocked full of unique items. Highly recommended if you want a quick and delicious meal.

Nice market and good court. Large selection of good and produce items. We liked the food court., ordering was easy and the variety offered was decent. Areas were clean.

This is a grocery store similar to H Mart, this has a lot of Asian products. It also has a small section of non food items. Prices are about the same as H Mart but they do run specials on specific items. I would say I like the selection more here. They also have a fantastic food court that you have to enter all the way to the right. Separate entrance. I posted the times that they're operating. Joong Boo Market itself is open from 8 am - 9 pm. Parking is ample but can get crazy during peak times especially on the weekends.

Cheese tonkatsu from their food court :)

I ordered their smash burger. It was good but not impressive. We had asked for sauce on the side, but I think they interpreted that as additional sauce on the side. The burger had sauce on it as well. The flavors were dominated by the sauce. Being a butcher shop I was hoping for a really good burger. I'd rate it average. We went a long way to visit and sadly while the staff is super friendly and helpful, what my sister and I ordered wasn't something we'd make the drive for to get again. Maybe we choose the wrong things. The parking for us was easy. The staff very friendly and helpful. The pizza on the bar looked dried out or outright burned so we stayed away from that. We were looking forward to something from their hot bar, but sadly it wasn't open on Sunday. We felt it was expensive for what we received and like I said earlier we had higher hopes. If you're in the area it's a good spot to stop, but we wouldn't make the trip to there specifically... It was good...not great. We had higher hopes.
