Drop in for a visit. There`s a huge selection of products and what you don`t see neatly displayed on the shelves can be ordered from the enormous selection of products from the Home Hardware catalogue. The store keeps up its long-standing tradition of instant service in its new location. In the old days, at the old and very small store on Simcoe Avenue, I could walk in for something like a fuse and it would be in my hands in minutes. Several weeks ago, on a quest for a thermostat at the new Queensway store, I received the exact same speed of service. Super-friendly, super-fast: obviously I`m taken with this store. And when you`re always hunting for a deal like I am, it`s good to know that they have a better and more affordable selection of products than any of their competitors in town.

This was my first visit to Aikencraft…read more Aikencraft is a great shop if you are liking for custom designed artistic reclaimed wood. I have not seen anyone else do this yet. It is a nice way to recycle wood, and Cam, the owner, has come up with several creative ways to bring some of these reclaimed treasures into your house. There was also a very good variety of collector items. Pictures to follow. It's well worth the drive if you are looking for something unique to compliment your restaurant or home.

I find nowadays great customer service is rare but the two girls that work in there go out of their way to ensure that you've found what you need and are satisfied. In my case, they ordered a box of dishes from another location (since they were out) and honoured the sale price that was in place the day I inquired about them. They even went so far as to inspect the items in the box and point out a couple of small blemishes on the cups, ensuring that I was aware and could make a decision based on that knowledge.
