Alex, the cashier, was very helpful and friendly. The station was clean and well-maintained, and the prices are the best in the area. Only reason I go here is because it's cheap gas and I pass by everyday to and from work. However sadly to say this the girl who worked tonight her name is Brenda. She really seems to hate the job first off I ask X on number X pump beside no customer service at all trust me I know I work with customer service. I didn't even get a Hi thank you or Hi how are you? Anyhow when I was done with the gas I asked for change she gave me the change but no smile or thank you and not even a good night. Hands down Brenda you need to step up on your customer service skills or anything to make you more customer service friendly. Since I recently became my own boss and did more driving now, I strategically selected gas stations within areas I'm frequently in, and this United Oil location fit into that mold. Yes, location...location...location and cheaper prices were the main factors why I added this to my route. Would there be any reasons to change my driving habits away from this place!?: 87 Unleaded Gas ($30.26) - The gas lamp so desperately wanted to flash on as I coasted down from my parent's house onto a steep hill past Glendale Community College while the needle balanced between the "F" and last line before that. I was able to ease into the station as I hovered my foot above the gas pedal in case I needed to accelerate. After 11.46 gallons of gas at $2.63/gallon (credit card price), I was feeling pretty good about myself as I continued about on my busy day! Service - Honestly, I've never had any real issues here accept that one time late at night they inexplicably shut-down all the gas pumps while a lone male employee took the brunt of everyone's inquiries (including mine) with no reasonable response. Otherwise, it was all pretty much self-serve which I was fine with, and the pumps fueled quickly! Sadly, the multiple ways to enter/exit the station added to the congestion at this busy split. There was plenty of natural lighting during the day while bright electric lights flooded the night. There were no TVs or background music. Attire - Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, I've included this United Oil Glendale Ave. location to my "regular" list primarily for its location although it wasn't my first choice. I believed they were open 24 hours which was always a plus. I The place was well-lit, had all the necessary amenities, and prices were decent all things considered. However, this station had the tendency to get crowded easily, and I abhorred the fact that they had separate prices for cash vs. credit ($0.10 difference). I found fairly good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $30.00; NO tip required). 5 Stars for having the lowest price per gallon of gasoline as of today 2.89 gal for cash ,10 cents more for debit or charge. The American Gasoline Station of yore used to be a place where you could get your windows cleaned, your gas pumped for you. you could chat with the owner and gas pumping dudes about all manner of subjects. you could buy a coke or pepsi out of a super chilled water refrigerator. they often had local tv stations shooting a live show featuring one kind of contest or another. as in la high school car washing to make money for a senior class trip. In other words: a gas station was a contributor and participant in the neighborhood. This is a time gone by but a time for which i do have a pang of remembrance and longing. "The good Old days" as my nephews say and only because i have reminded them about that phrase. They are GEN-Z, younger than the dreaded Millennials though my oldest nephew is 8 and therefore a Millennial. In any event this United Oil station is the cheapest in Glendale. Service-wise: non-existent. The dude at the window into which you shove your money does not possess any sort of service savvy than say the Nordstrom sales crew possesses. HA! He grunts, he swigs on a soft drink, chomps on a service station tuna sammy: generally he is in his own world. a world not comprehensible to anyone in this world. Those of us who were in a short line today to pay cash for gas had to wind around chips and old sammy refers and big refers of beer and sodas: so close to each other that it gave me the willies. All for the cheap per gallon cost of the petrol. One good thing about living in Glendale is that the city officials have assigned a dollar penalty to those who do not wear masks in a public place: 400. 1000, 1,000,000 for first, second and third offense. So when you are in a line standing close to the person either in front or behind you and this person is not wearing a mask...you have recourse here. i like it! One woman, who parked at a pump after i did decided she was special and therefore did not have to wait in line because she had a beat up Mercedes and because she was who she was: no one. we all made her go to the back of the line which made me feel good. yes, but also stupid and petty and thinking back this would not have been an issue years ago at the chevron across the street from where i grew up in LA. I visit this gas station 3 times a week went in today to buy cigarettes and the employee did see that I don't have my purse she carded me, keep in mind that she knows me as I'm a regular customer , so I go back in my car and get my license then she says it's expired, I didn't have my purse with my as I was traveling with my husband but happend to have my old license that just expired a few weeks ago in the car. So I had to get my husband out of the car so he can show his ID. This employee is one of the employees that is so rude and has horrible customer service her name is Brenda. I asked her what her managers name is and she said she will be here tomorrow . I asked her 3 times and she refused to give me her name. She has terrible customer service experience. read more

Came here for the price of gas. I don't give bad reviews but today was just horrible. The lady cashier is downright rude. Very bad customer service. Seems like she's not happy working and was on her phone all the time. Go elsewhere even if you pay a few cents more. I've had it enough with this gas station . The station has high volume of customers due to lower gas prices in comparison to other gas stations in this area. You would think they'll at least maintain this place . The card readers are unreliable. What's the point of having card readers if they are faulty and you still have to make your way inside and request help. It's frustrating and the employees there are unpleasant and grumpy . They have nasty attitude. I had to go in 3 times today because the pump would not work, then the card reader didn't work . At least one pump is always out of order and half card readers are malfunctioning. Fix the damn problem already. This has been going on for years now. read more

This gas station is the most inexpensive amongst the surrounding stations. It does not have diesel fuel available. Fill up can be easy if there are few patrons, but at times it can get quite busy. They do charge 5-10 cents extra to use credit cards, and they do not accept Amex. read more

This station has it all: gas, fuel, petroleum, apiary dolphins, you name it. I love that you can pull into the station from like 4 different ramps and streets. Talk about accessibility! The machines are also responsive and don't lag around like other stations in the vicinity *cough Mobil cough*. Do yourself a favor. Pump gas here. Pump #3 is my favorite btw. read more

The pumps are not working properly, every two seconds was canceling , after numerous attempts, and call attendant to come and fix it , no help , although the gas is cheap but I prefer to pay 20 cent more at Gas station that their pumps work properly!! Cheapest gas in Glendale and they have a convenient mart. I hate going here because of the long lines, but when it's empty I stop by.

I like the fact that this business has good prices and the paper towels and windshield washing equipment are always available to use unlike some other gas stations that totally lack in that area. It can be busy because of lower prices and I have seen some really rude motorists trying to weasel themselves ahead of ahead-of-them customers. So be mindful of that. read more

The cheapest gas station in the area. They have a separate credit or cash per gallon price so always have cash handy if you want a cheaper price per gallon. Never had any issues with the quality of gas. Works fine with any car I've filled up here. Has 12 pumps, easily accessible from any direction on Glendale avenue. Has air/water pump further away from the gas pumps so you don't have issues if you need to fill your tires with air. read more

I have Been getting my gas at this location for years, even before it was unocal gas. They have always had the best prices around. There fast and friendly they will get you in and out with a smile. Also now they have snacks so if you need that coffee or red bull for a quick wake up for that long drive home they got what you need. read more

Very difficult to use debit card. Machine kept rejecting the card although card was used at another location successfully. Clerk EXTREMELY RUDE! Price good but available at other locations easier to use. I would give up using my car before I would return to this station. read more
