I stopped by to purchase our office pool Lottery tickets. The mini mart is very clean and organized but they do not carry many products. The cashier was very nice despite the many lottery ticket transactions I had for him to run through the machine. read more

No public restroom??? Ummm this is a Gas Station. At the very least is you can have a dirty one no? Maybe I'm being too hard because their gas is super cheap compared to anything in the Bay Area. Open around 6pm on the 4th of July when you can be closed was pretty cool....also all the pumps appeared to be new and in working condition, fast actually. If it wasn't for that and how clean the store was. I would give you 2 stars but thank you again for being open during the 4th!!! We were low on gas and you guys delivered. I felt bad for the driver though. He paid for the gas and this is how you treat him? They sell Lotto tickets too. So who knows, small towns tend to have a lot of winners ;). I was literally on my way to sell my car when I got a flat tire. Tried filling it with air at this 76 station but it wouldn't hold a seal. Charlie not only figured out the problem but took the tire and rim himself to someone he knew could fix it. He had me on the road in time to complete the car sale and charged me much less than he could have. This guy genuinely likes helping people. Gas prices are inelastic and are determined by the assholes in the Middle East and other oil-producing countries who manipulate supply to keep prices high so they can sustain their kleptocratic governments. Shitty gas stations ALWAYS have terrible squeegies that leave streaks all over the windshield. Not this 76! I'd expect nothing less from a gas station in La Canada. (Filled-Up 11/21/12 TH @ 6pm): The cheapest gas station in La Canada Flintridge...that accepts credit cards! This 76 Gas Station off of Alta Canyada Ave. and close to the 2 South Freeway entrance has been my go-to gas station whenever I'm in the La Canada Flintridge area. Sure, I've cheated a bit with the Shell on Angeles Crest and the Chevron across from the post office, but my heart has always been with this station. Except for the ARCO further down on Foothill Blvd. close to the post office, this gas station usually had the least expensive gas around (I don't patronage ARCO because they only accept cash or debit cards; no credit cards). Furthermore, the location was close to both my parents, sister and nieces, friends, and until recently my last place of residence. I liked this place so much I red-lined my gauge just so I could coast in for a fill-up (it helped that I was in the area, too)! My Toaster was hungry! After I swiped the card and went through all of the security formalities (which I appreciated), I reached for the 87 octane button ($3.77/gallon) and pumped my baby full of juice! Chug...chug...chug was all I heard. Finally, my Toaster was stuft and couldn't take anymore! I place the pump back on its holster, got my receipt, and motored away down Alta Canyada to catch the 2 South to go home. The service was fine as it was basically self-service. I can only think of recent times when I had to go inside to retrieve a receipt. Parking was nearly non-existent, but since they're also a full-service station and snack shop, they had a couple garages and a handful of parking spots along a resident's fence. Otherwise, this shouldn't be a problem if you're just getting gas. Overall, this 76 Gas Station has been one of the few favorite gas stations I liked to give my regular business to. The owner would even sometimes come out and chat with you. Such a novel idea, right!? I found very good value as noted by the prices, service and location quoted above (total bill was $43.00; no tip required). The atmosphere was a gas station with a couple mechanic garages on the corner of the main drag of town and a small residential street, a couple easy entrance and exit driveways, and eight serviceable pumps (two columns with four pumps each). Amenities included clean soap, water, and squeegies, air and water pumps, restrooms, and a small snack shop. The attire was total casual, so I would be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops (it's a gas station so what would you expect!?). And they accepted my credit card of choice...AMEX! read more

I took my Porsche for its smog check yesterday. Ara was the guy. Very nice, professional and the station is very clean and had a bench to sit on outside. Ara charged more than I have paid in the past,$50, but it was easy, quick and clean. I would have him do another smog check anytime. read more

I have been filling up at Charlie Kamar's station since moving into the area and I couldn't be happier. His prices beat the Angeles Crest stations, his staff is friendly, and he supports our local schools. One time I had a nail in my tire and he called around to see if he could find a replacement tire for me, but he couldn't beat Costco's price, so he patched my tire and had me go to Costco. Right next to the entrance to the 2 freeway. This is bound to be one of the more popular gas stations in town. It's not the cleanest ones I have seen but it serves its purpose. Plus, you can grab some food afterwards at La Canada Imports across the street! They have sodas/snacks inside and I thought I'd mention this given the recent cutbacks at some gas stations! read more

I have a 2002 Kia spectra that is well maintained but recently it started surging forward, on it's own. I took it to a Kia dealership and they couldn't find anything. Then I took it to this 76 because it's nearby where I'm staying. The same day I took it to them, they diagnosed a faulty sensor in the engine that had been broken in an earlier repair and was only working intermittently. Their smog tech, Abi, found it. They had it fixed and ready to pick up by the end of the day. I have driven it a long way since then and the problem is gone. Thanks SO much! read more
