He knew I was nervous about the trim flapping in the wind, making noise, but also tapping the window. I was worried it would fly off and damage a car or a person so he got the guys out the very next morning! Jim communicated with me each step of the way, letting me know when the team would arrive, etc. Mark and Larry were the brothers that showed up (right on time). They took the time to introduce themselves explained what they were going to do. This small step goes a long way to feeling comfortable . They were very kind and professional went out of their way to be helpful to me. I highly recommend JDM and I will definitely be using them again when I replace my windows in the back of my house!!

Terrible experience With this company and will never do business with them again…read more Jim is too busy talking about how they are number one is this town and that town (has people he knows do reviews to keep it that way) Instead of listening to what the customer wants. When the job begins and you tell him this is what we agreed to he denies he ever said that and then tries to get more money from you. Truly shyster way to do business. Now for the best deck ever (Jim's words) - at best the deck is average or below average with the workmanship not what it should be for the price. Decking not even with uneven gaps on the side, terrible cuts that should have been redone due to their error but of course they don't fix as it adds cost for them. Then leaving all trash on site not only from your job but from other jobs doing for the entire project (So much for everything including container). A suggestion for anyone thinking of using this company (big mistake IMO) would be to make sure every little detail is included in your contract to state exactly what you talked about and don't take Jim at his word as he is not reliable.

He worked around the delayed delivery of our cabinets and the counter company's hold up of the island counter without a complaint. It was fun watching the day to day progress and before we knew it, it was done! Mike is easy to work with, cheerful, with a great sense of humor (and likes dogs!). The project was finished in a timely fashion, communication was great, the crew very polite and respectful. He has great ideas and is a true craftsman. He enjoys a challenge! We will be calling Mike again!

We had to fire Mike because we kept finding mistakes that he and his crew were making and after he suggested that we let he and his son do the Plumbing in our home ( because he lied to us and didn't have a plumber or electrician like he told us he did after signing a contract ) we also had to rip out every single thing they tiled and possibly our wood floors and when we asked for things to be changed as the paying customer or questioned his work Mike refused and threw a temper tantrum like a child and took it out on our home .like i said if you use this company you'll regret it and possibly be helping to pay Mike's Attorney fees

They didn't saw out the metal frames, like the job is…read moreusually approached; they hacked them out with hammers and chisels, making a "mini-mountain range" of a mess of all the cement sills. The windows were so poorly installed, that more outside air came in than with the old ones. There were gaps between the windows and the foundation of more than 4 inches! They attempted to correct all of this with Great Stuff spray foam---everywhere! The also couldn't even make a wooden frame w/actual 90 degree corners. Each of the 4 windows looked like it was done by a different person. No two were left in the same "finished" condition. On one, no attempt at all was made to finish it. They ordered the wrong window for the dryer vent. They wanted to drill a hole in my foundation instead! (You do NOT do it that way, ever!) Then, they went hunting for a place for the vent, using a 1,25" bit, and drilling straight through the foundation sill. Luckily, I caught them after their first failed attempt. I had the correct-sized dowel to fill the hole, they did not---more Great Stuff? They didn't even have an 1/8" plumber's bit to "hunt" with. I had to give that them that, too! Just measuring would have been a good idea, for starters. They didn't protect anything; left everything in my entire basement wood-shop covered in cement dust---days and days of work to clean it all. In the end, I paid someone $700 (he gave me a big break---out of pity) to fix them as much as possible. He had to do cement work, carpentry, and finish carpentry. At least now, no outside air comes in. Mr. Serpa will talk really quickly and confidently to try to steamroll you into thinking his resolution is valid, when it's quite definitely not. I dread to think of things they may have done had I not been home and watching them, because even that didn't help me! He DID offer, immediately, to send someone to "fix" it. The people who already proved they didn't know how to do it correctly in the first place, are NOT the people who should be allowed to "fix" it, right? I declined. He feels he did nothing wrong. He even brought his town building inspector "pal" to see them after I complained. They came unannounced onto to my property w/o permission. He knew they looked nice from outside, and that was all he planned for the inspector to see. He doesn't realize that the HOMEOWNER oversees a second opinion, not the contractor. The inspector compromised his position by doing it, making anything he said completely invalid. Have had lots of big projects done in the last year. This was the last and smallest of them. Turned out to be the only one that I chose the wrong person to do. BTW, I used to work w/a home improvement Master Builder. I wish I could include pics of that person's bsmt window replacement jobs alongside mine.

However, the owner, Armen, fought with my GC and wouldn't speak with him during the project. I ended up having to coordinate everything between the two. Had that been the only problem, I wouldn't be writing this post. After the floor was installed, I noticed several areas that were bumpy and not flat. I brought this to Armen's attention, and he assured me it would get fixed. I spent the next year trying to get him to come back out and fix it, however he never returned a call or email. I've never written an online complaint in my life, but I think it's important for people to know this before deciding to do business with this company. Save yourselves the trouble and find another company.
