I don't visit regularly but I knew this had to be place where I could find what I was looking for. At the time I'm posting this review, M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E and the crew is all the rave .. she gets it from her daddy honest. I remember going crazy over that mouse with gloves and she's not different. As I searched the website for balloons, I saw a few options that were reasonably priced and that were available for pick up within two hours. Before finishing my order, I had no idea there was a helium shortage .. was this on the news? Should I be concerned? I was completely oblivious to this. After placing my order, I received a phone call regarding my order. In the call two things happened: I was given a shorter wait time and an option for the coveted helium. When picking up the balloons, I didn't wait at all and they were ready as mentioned. Very friendly staff and eager to help with any additional questions or concerns. Party City came in clutch on my daughters special day, they didn't know it but I was very grateful for their customer service and making this dad a hero without a cape.

Rude and very unhelpful, we called the San Jose store, they were extremely helpful and kind, said we are more than welcome to bring our balloons to them for a fill because they fill every day of the week.

I had two different orders and had issues pulling up the pick-up barcode for my second order so the cashier asked for my last name. He made a brief tempted to ask someone to look for the order but gave up after a minute or so and moved on to ring up the lady behind me. I was standing there just waiting to be helped so I asked the other guy that was at the online order section. He too made a half ass attempt but moved onto something else. At that point, I started looking for my orders myself. I located one of the two orders, but had difficulty finding the second one. A third employee came towards me and asked if I needed help. She was finally able to locate my second order. Got home, and found out that the mask I ordered was broken. I went to a different Party City and they didn't have the exact mask so we had to go with something else. At that location, we were told only an exchange was allowed so we ended up paying nearly $10 more for the other mask. Overall this was poor and frustrating experience that resulted in us paying more at a different location. Update: I found out that Halloween returns must be returned at least seven days before Halloween. I looked up the policy since the cashier at the other location didn't specify.

I didn't waste any time and headed to the front counter to inquire about my pickup order. I was worried I'd be frightened again by a skeleton or clown or something scary. I am always aware of my surroundings when I enter the store and when I leave out. I have lived in this area for 3 years from 2020 to 2023. I have seen this Family Dollar change a lot. The store is cleaner, and people are not sitting in the front of the store next to the entrance of the store, camping out like they are going to stay till the store closes. The refrigerated section is finally fixed, and the choice of food is excellent much in comparison with that of grocery stores. I have seen managers come and go. The latest manager named Paxton seems to be a nice man who knows the importance of order, safety and I feel he knows the importance of quality customer service from what I can tell being that I met him just this week as I was Christmas shopping and am still getting to know him as he attempts to bring this store around to what it can be. I have notice this Family Dollars always has a sign on their register stating "Do not have cash back" if you want to get cash back at checkout. Yesterday, Monday, December 18, 2023, a handwritten sign on the door said, "Do not have cash so don't expect exact change." When I made my purchase, I found this to be true. The cashier did not give me any cash back on $22.00 of refrigerated groceries and her customer service was not good. The manager, Paxton, standing at the door to the store welcoming customers into the store did not seem to mind her unkind treatment of me. I attempted to resolve the issue with him in conversation before I left the store but did not feel totally satisfied that the customer service would be rectified when I shopped at this store on another day. So now I don't know what to think but maybe it is Christmas and business was wearing Paxton out because he looked so tired. And maybe the young female cashier was just moody. Very friendly employees and they are willing to help with a smile. Good customer service really means a lot! The store is organized and I was able to find everything I needed. I also picked up some cat treats and toys for my cats at a great price. The restroom is kept locked, so if you need to use it, one of the employees will have to let you in with a key. I did need to take a quick potty break while here and found the restroom to be clean and well kept. Two thumbs up for a Family Dollar in a part of town where you wouldn't expect it.
